In an email that seems suspicious especially since I receive almost nothing but fake emails on this Gmail account of mine I was told to call this telephone number: 800-956-4442.  When I investigated it turned out to be less than authentic.  
These criminals however did manage to disable all of my online account services.  Then Wells Fargo was not help in assisting me in restoring any of these services because the bankers and tellers in the branch locations repeatedly told me to call the "800" telephone number...which was false...which in turn means you get poor service from those in Wells Fargos' branch locations.

Got a call from what they claim to be Wells Fargo. The caller ID showed Wells Fargo's number for Bill Pay (800-956-4446), but was left a message to call back this number (877-329-7736). When I called back, they asked for my Account number - Banks NEVER ask for full account numbers over the phone. Just in case, I hung up and called back Wells Fargo directly. They confirmed that they do not see this phone number in their system and they  DO NOT ask for account numbers over the phone.
This is a SCAM, please do not share your information over the phone!

I just got a call this morning, they claimed to be from WF regarding a transaction i paid online from a WF to an insur. company, and said that's all she can tell me, and needed to verify either with my WF account numbers or the ATM numbers, as soon as i said i do have my ATM card with me....she said "read it to me!" a command sounded like for the kids. When i said "no i can't give you that!" she replied "Okay i understand" then hung up. I don't give a rat if that was a reall customer call from WF and if they will kick me out of my house said i didn't made an insur payment or whatever! I checked online and found this page...be very careful people!

we got an email saying it was from Wells Fargo, and that we had a new credit card account opened- and it said to call this number if we disputed it, it also said it charged our account, but when I logged in and went to my account there is no activity, no card, and the customer service number is different for disputes.  This number given is definitely attached to fraud.  Don't call it. Just go in to your branch!

I got an email as well. Showed that number to call and said my online account pw had been disabled because of an attempt to log in 3 times.  I havent used my account since 2009.... weirrrd. And im pretty sure I left my account -40 in collections and its closed. Seems like a scam to me. Hope they get caught.

This number 1800 956 4442 is a real Wells Fargo bill pay phone number for claims, I called my bank directly and they gave me his number and they also connected me to number as well.

This very well may be a Wells Fargo number but it is still not a legitimate caller since they called me and I have absolutely nothing to do with Wells Fargo. I did not answer and they did not leave a message so I feel it is safe to say that they were just another spam caller only from a seemingly respectable company. My opinion....spam is spam no matter who initiates it.

Got an EMAIL from this number, indicated as attaching a 2 page fax. The attachment is a ZIP file. Did not and will not open it. Not only is it always dangerous, but I do NOT have (and have never had) a Wells Fargo account.

I received an email from Wells Fargo? saying that I needed to respond by 9-15-15 to sign on to an e account to keep access to my online accounts.  Then I checked with my bank and they said that this was a scam.  The scammers referenced this phone number 800-956-4442.  BEWARE!!

Got a call from Wells Fargo because I was having trouble logging on. I did not give them any information and told them I would call back customer support since they initiated the call. They were very understanding and gave me a support ticket number to give to customer service. Called customer service and they were able to pull up the ticket number and assisted me with my log on problems.

This is a legiate Wells Fargo number. I got it by googling the number and Wells Fargo. It goes to a legiate Wells Fargo webpage. https://www.wellsfargo.com/products_services/applications_viewall Do not know where everyone else is getting their info, but it is a legiate number for WF. If you do not trust them do as I do, respectfully tell them you will call customer service before giving out any info.

The number is a legit Wells Fargo Number. The scammers will reference the phone number that is legiate to make you think they are for real. I bet the number they wanted you to call is not that one. They should and do call when their is suspicious activity on your account. They called us one time when fraud was being attempted in another state and I had used my card at home a few minutes before. They issued us both new cards and blocked the previous numbers. Yes Wells Fargo should be calling for some reasons.

I received an email, stating that my Wells Fargo statement is waiting for me, and this phone number to call with questions.  The only problem is that I have no Wells Fargo account.
