email scam from someone posing as Wells Fargo Bank.

Asking for account numbers and password.
Did not give but then put on hold for 30 min.

I got an email that I thought looked pretty legit about me cosigning for a student loan.  But I ddn't.  I talked with Wells fargo and they said this is a scam.  Don't be an idiot and believe these fake reviews from the scammer.  Of course if you call the phone number they will say its wells fargo... Remember they are trying to scam you!!!.   The email I got looks like a legit email address from Wells Farg.. but now scamers can easily insert the  real wells  fargo address in the email header they know how to trick the email system.   if you ever think an emails real, then just get out, and go directly into the Wells Fargo website on your own.   DO not call back this number and get scammed don't be an idiot!!!

Received an email that had this phone number claiming that there was an alert on my Bank of America credit card account.  The BOA account was closed in 2014.  Scam!  Never respond to an email with link to a CC or bank because you may be linked to counterfeit web site.  If in doubt, get the URL or phone number from your statements. And if you call don't give any information but ask the party to verify your account number and the balance on a recent statement date.

I am going through a lot regarding Wells Fargo. Fake letters, fake phone numbers and fake bank entries. And not once have I see this number indicated for anything until I received an e-mail about my statements. I called it and got some promotional thing or something.

They can make their number look like the Wells Fargo number.

They called at 3:28 am. Scammers
