Report a phone call from 801-623-4621 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- AMlet my answering machine take call because I didn't recognized the number. No message left. Then left message here.
- billI get these call two times every day, I don't have any related business with this company,I try to call back but no answer. they still bother me every night and every early morning I have registered with the do not call, it seems that it cannot block their call.
- Caller: unknown
- MWNever had this problem before - until I switched my wireless service provider to T-Mobile a week ago. Just curious if we are all under the same provider?
- EddieI only get these calls when I am online, but I have a call manager that
allows me to ignore them while it identifies them. When I am not online
I have a Telezapper which intercepts any computer generated call and
it causes the line to drop, although it takes one ring for the unit to work.
I recommend that if you dont want computer generated calls get a
Tele-Zapper, it is very inexpensive and simple to connect and does not
in any way cause a problem with your phone or computer services. - TinaMy phone rings several times a day, then they hang up!
- M. SowersTHIS PERSON WITH THIS PHONE NUMBER CALLS MY HOME EVERY DAY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE CALLING ABOUT. I HAVE ASK THEM NOT TO CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN. THEY SAY THAT THE DO NO CALL LIST DOES NOT APPLY TO THEM. ALL I WANT IS TO BE REMOVED FROM THEIR LIST.
- Irritated in NYMy Caller ID showed a from this number at 2:08 p.m. today. My phone rang 4 times, but no message was left.
- Caller: (unknown)
- rsi got a brand new cell, and i have had calls from the same number 3 times in one day...very bothersome....
- Caller: unknown
- TSI called the number provided above in this thread and had to leave a message for a "Carlie Wats". I had my new T-Mobile cell phone for a mere three days when this harassment began; if it does not end soon, I will be changing my number and telling T-Mobile if they sell the next number, I will be canceling my plan.

- Who What Where these people are - READFor the people who are not bothered enough to actually TAKE THE TIME to read the thread here and find the answers GIVEN here for themselves, here is the info provided by
wats meister - 30 Mar 2008
"Here's who is calling on this number. It is a survey company called Western Wats located in Utah. They use eleven phone numbers: 801-623-4621 through 801-623-4631. They do customer research on contract for many companies, notably for Kaiser medical, Time Warner Cable, and various banks. Also do research for the Democratic National Committee. In mid-2007 some who have received calls from this company are asked about "temporary" residents of their house, or are asked for a Spanish-speaker in the household... which indicates that they are trying to reach undocumented aliens for a survey, although who would pay for a survey like that is anybody's guess.
Western Wats is not required to respect the National Do-Not-Call List, because they are conducting legitimate customer research surveys on behalf of their contractees. If you have an account at a bank which then hires WW, then they have every right to call you and ask how the service from the bank has been. If you have communications service from Time Warner, then WW has every right to call you on TW's behalf and ask how your service has been. If you are an American citizen, then WW has every right to call you on behalf of the Democratic National Committee to ask you what you think about politics.
Now, as to who these callers actually are...
Western Wats has two locations in Provo, Utah (about 20 miles south of Salt Lake City):
290 West Center Street in Provo, UT 84601. At the corner of South 3rd Street West, two blocks east of Pioneer Park and two blocks west of University Avenue. This is the business office.
701 Timpanogos Parkway in Orem, UT 84097. Orem is on the northern outskirts of Provo, and Western Wats is at the corner of Timpanogos Parkway and Research Way, just across the railroad tracks from Orem Cemetery. This building is their call center.
Why don't they answer when you pick up? Because their automated dialing system calls a batch of numbers at once, and the first one to make a live connection is routed to one of their phonejockeys, and the rest of the calls are dropped. Yes, this is highly annoying, but it is the most efficient way (in their eyes) to get the maximum number of completed surveys per hour.
How can you get them to stop calling you? There are three ways. First, when you get a call from 801-623-4621 or -4622, -4623, etc. through -4631, you wait until a real person speaks, then just ask them (in your sweetest voice) to "please remove this number from the call list." If the phonejockey is not a complete [***], they will tap a few keys and remove your number.
The second way is to go online to their website. Just add ".com" to the company's name. On the website, there is a link to a page where you can enter your number and ask that they remove you from their call list.
The third way is to contact Western Wats directly. By mail, use the address of the business office in Provo listed above:
Western Wats
290 West Center St.
Provo, UT 84601
By phone, call them at:
(801) 373-7735
I hope that helps to clear up the mystery of who is cluttering up your phone's caller log. Yes it is very annoying that they block their outgoing caller-ID, but that's not the fault of the poor young people working as phonejockeys. Don't take your frustration out on the people who call, because they're already frustrated themselves. If they had any career prospects right now, then they wouldn't be slaving away on the phones for a pittance over minimum-wage. Most are students who couldn't give a darn about what survey they are carrying out, and this type of work makes them develop a pretty thick skin, pretty quickly. They develop what I call "personality callouses" so any foul language you might hurl at them just washes right off (and your rant will likely be recorded anyway, so don't be a jerk!)"
YES, many of us just got a new cell phone. YES, this company is harassing us. Put one and one together -- YOUR CELL PHONE COMPANY SOLD YOUR NUMBER, either before or after it was given to you. As for the rest, someone ELSE sold your number. My problem is a result of T-Mobile.- Caller: Western Wats
- FORMER T-Mobile CustomerSTOP selling your new customers' numbers, T-Mobile! I am a new customer, and since I can, I will be ending my service with your company because of this. If you did it now, you will do it in the future. If more people quit T-Mobile because of this, maybe you will pay attention.
- KwaltonCalled with no answer. Called the number back they said it was western Watts. Caller ID showed up with my name on it and their phone number. Just a cheap trick to get you to answer the phone.

- tehgamer(801) 623-4621 is the number of a Republican marketing firm (http://targetpointconsulting.com/IntheNews/default.aspx) that matches psychological and consumer information to political strategists can better shape a politician's message. In other words, theyre trying to figure out how to get you to vote a certain way. Inexcusable in my opinion.
- Bit appears to be an outsourced call center, probably in India, doing customer satisfaction surveys. For me it was due to purchasing a new phone from T-Mobile. But, I told them we weren't interested and they've called 10 times in 24 hours. Bloody annoying.
- JoeIn the past 3 days they have called me 7 times! Luckily, i was only around for the latter one and didn't answer it.
- OKComputerServices.ComWe got a call today asking us to take part in the survey. I was following along until the Survey took too long. Then I asked NOT to be call again, just an hour later I was called and ask again. They have a Website and serveral phone numbers and if you have Comcast you can log into your account and block them. While you are at it, you better BLOCK the following numbers :)
