8174966500 the phone just rings and when they do answer they NEVER stated the name of the company. A lady finally picked up after 6-8 rings and asked how may she direct my call, but asked for the company's name she transferred it me to some rude lady name Susie. I asked her what's the name of their company she said, " CSI did we call you?" They called my son, who's never had anything in his name that he need to pay them $136 over the phone now!!

Keep getting calls for from this number - they keep asking for my son - who doesn't use my phone number and doesn't have debt. Called back got random people to answer. Found out the collect for Clinics Of North Texas which is a medical clinic in Wichita Falls that we do use.

Oh, yes, they are, in fact, after old debts, as well - even if the debt is long, long, long ago paid off....I "take a message", then hang up.

Fake collections are the fad now. Usually claiming an unpaid medical bill.  My kid was pestered to pay a bill when under MY INSURANCE. Now I'm getting calls and I've checked. Only seen a DR once in 5 years and it was a yearly check, 100% covered. But somehow they are calling my emergency mobile number. Don't like that.  Reported them.

They are  Medical debt collection agency. When I answered the call Peggy was very rude and would not listen to me at all. Wanted information I was not willing to let go of. Then said she was reporting this to my credit bureau.

And what they are doing is illegal, Karen.  Firstly, it is illegal in the State of Texas to use an auto-dialer/robocaller to make a cell phone ring.  You need to locate an attorney that handles these type of calls.  Said attorney does NOT even have to reside in your home residency state.  You can live in Texas and retain an attorney in Chicago.  That attorney will file the necessary paperwork for you in your home county court system, or wherever needed.  You can recover so much $ PER phone call, the suit is taken at NO COST TO YOU.  The attorney fees are paid out of the settlement, you pay 0 up front.  So, if you come across any attorney that agrees to handle this for you and wants $ up front, keep searching for legal representation, because they do not require up front.  MANY attorneys will take this on contingency basis, because this is a known violator (the number) and  they know that the expected recoveries are significant enough to make it worth their while.  Good Luck.

So, what happens if they do sue you?  How are you going to afford to defend yourself?  Or maybe you plan on not doing anything and let them get a default judgement?  That way they can get a judge to sign off on garnishment and put liens on any property you might own.  They might also be able to sell whatever you own to satisfy the judgement.

Asked for my 89 y.o. grandma who is both blind and deaf. When I asked who was calling, she said 'CSI, a call center'. We get a lot of weird spam calls, so I asked what is this in reference to? She got VERY rude & actually said "What is it to you who I am? Does it matter to you?" Uh, yes it does I answered back very rudely & she hung up. I'm just trying to protect my grandma and if it's a legit call they'd be upfront. I will block this number.
