I recently called VW customer service to inquire about a problem I was having with my local dealer.  Now the calls have started - but when I answer my cell there is no one there.

I have a Jetta and have no idea why I'm being called unless it's the fact that my car is no longer under warranty.

Same here. I answer and no one responds then hear rings and it disconnects. Had VW serviced recently.

I got a hang-up call from this phone number on my cell today.  From the other comments left, I'm guessing it's regarding my vehicle, which I purchased in Van Nuys but moved across the country 1 1/2 years ago, and haven't had my vehicle serviced anywhere near their for some time now.

I received a call today too, when I answered it rang as if I was calling them.  So I unhung up.  It has to be some sort of scam.

Missed a call from this number this morning.  I have not recently puchased or serviced a car.

I am in Albany, Ny and just received a call. It would be nice to be in LA, but... My car is a SAAB and the last time it was in for service was two months ago. thanks for posting these messages

I've received lots of calls from this number in the last week. Today they called three times and never left a message. When I call back I get a busy signal. Now I know from looking online that other people have had the same number call them repeatedly. Interestingly, I do own a VW like the others who are receiving calls.

How do we make them stop calling?

Please have caller leave message. we will NEVER answer the call to an unknown number.

Very aggressive and pushy when they called me. I had some questions and the caller said that the dealer would contact me, which did not happen.  

I spoke to the service mgr at my dealer and made it clear that their use of this calling service was jeopardizing my continued loyalty as a customer of theirs and he seemed quite concerned.  

HOW TO PROTEST THE CALLS?
1- Complain to your dealer
2- Complain directly to the company that makes the calls. Here's their contact info:

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. Didn't know the number so didn't answer. No message left.  After checking all the comments here, I called them back. Got a message saying that they were calling on behalf of my dealership concerning service.  I do have a VW passat.  They did give the option to have my name and number removed from there database if I left my name and number with them. We'll see. Hope this helps.

Just received a call and they did leave a message.  It was a reminder to have service done on my VW Jetta on behalf of my local VW dealership and that the coupons they sent me would be expiring soon.

I've been hearing this call is from a dealership or a car repair shop, one of the two. They are no good... dont answer the call if you can avoid it. I've been reading that you should call you're dealership to get them to stop.

Called on behalf of Green Country Volkswagen to schedule an appointment in Tulsa for my Jetta which is located in MS.  Told them to take me off the call list.  He said it would take 48hrs to update the records.  Well see

This number just keeps on calling.

I can never answer this number when they call while I'm working, but they call just about every day. I've been told my cell phone number was registered from when my wife owned a VW Passat, but we traded it in for a Honda quite some time ago. I know that Honda is not a part of this, since all of their service/warranty operations are performed online. I have also started receiving quite a bit of mail concerning extending the Passat warranty, even though I have written several time to notify that I no longer own this car. The kicker is I live in NC....
