Same thing.  Frank identified himself as a recruiter and had opportunities within a company that was expanding in the area...best time to call him back is the afternoon.

This is Primerica in Schaumburg, IL.  My contact database shows that I've gotten come-ons from them dating back to the 1980s.  "Frank Pelowski" is just the latest.  The callers NEVER EVER leave the name of their company in their messages.  All calls come under the pretext of wanting to offer you a job and with the false claim that they are opening an office in the area (as I said, they've been calling me from this number since the '80's).  I get the impression that it is a boiler room operation similar to what has been banned under the federal "No Call" list.  Because of the misleading nature of the call from the outset, you have to assess if that is the type of employer you admire and if their financial services are what you want to be associated with?

Same story here - got a call from a private number to call my Buddy Frank for an 'Opportunity'.

I got the call today from Karen VonSee (sp?). She was very pleasant and first started leaving a voice message but then I picked up as I returned inside. As she repeated who she was she almost said the name of the company but abruptly hesitated and changed it to "a company that was expanding in to my area." She wondered if I needed employment (I don't, I'm retired) or could refer somebody, which I couldn't. She left her callback number as 847-584-0244, although the call came from 847-592-5592 with a Caller ID name of "HOLMES AND AST((ASSOCIATES))". They, with that number, are listed as being located in Hoffman Estates, IL and a link to their web site brings up Primerica. I used to have a 30 year term life insurance policy with them when they were known as MILICO but when it expired 10 years ago I got a new policy with another company. That is probably how they got my unlisted phone number, unless somebody else referred me to them.

Got a call today from a Frank Pelowski.  Said he was a recruiter and had a company for my background.  When asked how he got my name said I had been recommended.  Caller id number was blocked and I usually don't take these calls, but did today.  Told Frank I don't share personal information over the phone with strangers.  He offered his name again and number 847-584-0244.  Never once did he say he was from Primerica.  Thanks for your website.  This company should be investigated by the attorney general.  What a bunch of scumbags.

Got a call from Frank as well.  after reading this thread I will not be calling him back.

Got a call from Frank today and called him back.  He is a recruiter and identified that he was with Primerica.  He explained that they are expanding in the area and have opportunities both full-time and part-time.  I checked the company out and found out that they are a legitimate company and have been around for a long time.  Even checked the BBB and they are rated very high.  Understand that Primerica used to be part of Citigroup but is now independent.

I got the same call on my answering machine. My number is not listed so I thought it was strange to receive a call on my land line and not my cell.( Frank Pelowski. 847-584-0244) with the same story hes got a job opportunity for me... sounds like a scam to me.

I have received these calls last year and they are indeed from Priamerica.  Fortunately for me, I was busy handling family affairs and I could not meet their demands for attending a "meeting" to discuss what they do and what I would do.  I researched a little about them and though they are a legit company, their sales practices are somewhat shady.  They want you to sell insurance, annuities, etc to people who can't afford them, but don't let that stop you from hooking them.  I can't do that.  They are now calling me again this year.  I just got 2 calls from them today.  I am not returning their calls.  I want nothing to do with them.  The money you make for the company, pays your bosses "bonuses", but you get nothing until you reach your "quota".  I say, "GO FLY A KITE!"

Got a call today as well from "Frank" and thanks to all of you I will not be calling back! Gotta love the network...sometimes it works for us! :) thanks to all who put the time and effort into helping others just by leaving a note.

I posted my resume on craigslist with a hidden email address and I removed my contact info to avoid scammers.  Got an email through CL from Frank Pelowski to call back @ 847 584-0244 for career opportunities.  He said he was a recruiter, but never said what company he was from.  I usually ignore replies to craigslist from people who don't list their company name, but since he left a number with a legitimate area code that I recognized, I figured I'd check him out before calling back.  I've known people who work for Primerica.  Now that I know thats what Frank is about, I won't be calling him back.  Thanks for the heads up!

Primerica is for people who enjoy selling and don't mind not making any money until they get sales. It is not for everyone. I get contacted from recruiters who want me to sell financial products and insurance all the time. They flood my email box. From Primerica... to Aflac and the list goes on. When you get in programs like these, they train you and get you a licensed to sell financial products.

It takes a special personality to sell insurance and financial products. Do not get involved in sales unless you believe in the product you are selling and are willing to not get any income from this venture until you make sales. You have to become a salesman. You have to understand what your potential customer needs and be able to show them how your services can benefit them.

I went to one of Primerica's workshops. It seemed like they know what they are doing but I did not get a chance to further research their products. If you want to get a better understanding of the company, you need to be able to conduct research. Analyze the company. Analyze their financials for the past few years. Do research by questioning people who use them. Inquiry with people who work there and inquire with people who quit. Check the better business site. Go to their meetings but do not commit to anything unless you believe it is right for you.

When analyzing their products you need to dig deeper than what they show you. You need to actually analyze the performance yourself. Always be well informed before doing anything. I had learned this lesson when I accepted a job, only to find out that the company was not what I expected. So, always do your homework.

It's not a boiler room...was there years ago...i live in the area...but it IS a scam.

You are correct.  Frank is with Primerica.  He has been running the Elk Grove branch for a few years.  They are a great company and do a great job for families who need financial help.  I've been a client for a few years and would recommend him to anyone.
