Some foreign voice said my computer was having issues. After I establish he wanted to access my computer remotely….. I tell him that I do not have a virus on my computer. I am on the Do Not Call List, which does not bother these people at all. Calling back does nothing….as they are hi-jacking telephone numbers that are no longer in service. These people are running scams on phony numbers. - BetsyHad some fun, they love dumb women.

- Jeanel Bailey replies to SophieI just now got a call from this number 850-785-9004 telling me he is from micro soft. yeah right! you call the number back and it tells you it is dis connected I worked in a bank and I can tell you all kinds of scams and this is one.
He spoke very nasty at me and I told him he is a scam and he hung up - Dan from DelawareI started getting these calls a few months ago from a man with foreign voice stating he was from Microsoft and he ask if I was in front of my computer because he was going to fix the problems my computer sent them. I told him I was on my way out the door and hung up on him. No number or name came up on my caller ID. My phone and computer service were both thru Comcast. I didn't hear from anyone again until a couple of weeks ago. Comcast was screwing me so I changed my internet provider, cable, and phone to Verizon. Now my caller ID comes up showing 850-785-9004 but no name. They called at 2.51 pm yesterday and when I called back I got a message the number I was trying to call was disconnected. Then this morning March 20, 2015, I got the same call and picked it up on second ring, again no one was on the phone and when I called back I got the same message " the number was disconnected ". Then I Googled the number, which led me here, so I posted this. PS. I am on the do not call list, I just got a new phone number, and Microsoft doesn't have it.
- Caller: NO Name on ID only phonenumber.
- D!ck HammerThis is a scammer that will try to lock you out of your computer and charge you to get back in. Beware. They LIE! FRAUD and COMPUTER CRIMINALS!
I got the same call this morning from "Keith Richards" who claimed he was located in South Carolina Salt Lake City Utah. I played with him for 20 minutes before asking him if he believed in karma. I told him it was very bad karma to commit fraud, and that I thought his mother and father should be very ashamed of him being a criminal. He told me that they contract with the US Federal Government, and that the call was being recorded. I let him know that it is illegal to have been recording my call without my permission. I kept demanding the address he was calling from so my lawyer could send him a civil demand letter, and telling him he was full of (expletives), has bad karma, and parents who should be ashamed of him. It was overall a very satisfying experience.- Caller: Your Vindows Service Provider

- jjdcmomof4This number has called me 3 times. Today the most recent the Indian man yelled at me when I questioned how he got info about my PC when I have not been online, or on any WiFi for over 3 months. He got very upset and I threatened to report him to the BBB and he hung up on me.

- dominoI a call from this number today and they wanted me to go to my pc and I told them that I did not use a computer I did not know how but my husband did and I would have him get on it right away but first he would need to talk to my husband and that he was down stairs with his leg propped up as he had a broken leg for a couple of weeks. I told him to hold on and I would get my husband to go the phone by his computer I laid the phone down and I went to the door way and called out to my husband and told him to go to his pc and pick up the phone. I waited a couple of minutes and then I went back to the phone and told them he was on his way to getting up and going to the pc. I again laid the phone down and went about my business until the caller got tired and hung up. I figured he was not calling anyone else while he wait for someone to come back to the phone. He must have waited about 15 minutes before he hung up. He was wasting my time so I thought turn about is fair play and I wasted his time. I will do it again first chance they give me.
- Caller: SCAMMER
- J.HollandA woman with a strong accent, maybe Indian or similar, said something was corrupt with my computer and that she needed me to turn it on so she could access it. Asked to speak to her supervisor, then asked who she worked for and was hung up on.

- ShirleyJust called around 2pm eastern. I ignored it as I almost always do with numbers I don't recognize, then Googled the number and came here. Very glad I didn't answer. I've set up my phone to block the call so it won't ring next time... I've had to do this with so many numbers it is ridiculous, especially since I'm Unlisted and on the Do Not Call List, both of which appear to be worthless.
Enjoyed reading stories of people who messed with this scammer as turnabout is fair play.
I do wish that something could be done about this since it's obvious this scam has been going on for months and this guy curses people without any fear of retribution once he realizes they aren't going to buy into his scam, but apparently he and other scammers can get away with it and they know it. Sad. - Erica ElmoreJust had an interesting call from 850-785-9004. This is how the conversation went:
Scammer: Hello, how are you today?
Me: Fine. Who is this?
Scammer: Ma'am are you by your computer?
Me: No.
Scammer: You have a virus on your computer. Please get in front on your computer and I'll show you how to get rid of it.
Me: You think I'm really that stupid you [***]?! Stop scamming people and get ya life together!
These people need to be stopped! Just a reminder, the first person that will know if you have a virus in your computer, is you!
