- Mick| 5 repliesMy letter bears the telephone number +852 8124 5797: it was received today at my work address and is dated 23rd February. It purports to be from Mr. Lee Shun. It appears to be the same sort of text that other contributors to this site have received; again, the magic figure of US $14.7 million is described: Mr. Shun magnanimously wants to split this amount with me on a 50/50 basis. I have retained the envelope: the self-adhesive postage label bears two codes, viz. 62AC 282U, and, beneath the £0.60 postage charge, 73AC 583U. I hope this information is of use to someone. No, I will not be contacting Mr. Lee Shun.
- joe replies to Mick| 3 repliesI have just received a letter which is exactly the same as Mick's. In fact identical in dates, amounts, tel. no's and postal details. Who wouldn't like $14.7m, but it is so obviously a scam - take your letters to the Trading Standards Authority or to the police.

- emmylou| 1 replyHave just received the same letter at my place of work... Mr Li Pei has told me the exact same details as a few people on here. As soon as I read it I thought it was odd that it came to my work! If only it was true as the conversion rate is nearly £9.2 million! Hope nobody falls for this; what if someone elderly gets this...
- Hanzib replies to emmylouJust recieved a letter from li pei. To our buisness address. Total scam same 14.7million.
- Mr Singh replies to RSI have received such a letter from a person called Tai Chan supposed to be a Business Relationship manager at Chiyu Banking Corporation Ltd in Hong Kong, with telephone number 85281703961, and a email taichan7@yahoo.com. Asking me to claim $14.7million from a desist person who seems to have the same surname as me- Mr Singh. They seems to have taken my details from the companies house directors register and it was sent to my business address. The letter contained a uk post mark 72AC 483U supporting the sender's claim that he had sent this letter with a friend who was travelling to UK to be posted locally.
I will be soon handing this letter to the police for their investigation . If you have received similar letters do not respond to it, it is a scam and should be based in UK. - anonymous-surrey.Got letter today claiming I had inherited 14.7 million in US dollars. Was quite believable, but clearly a scam which I am going to report to Surrey Police and the BBC show-watchdog. Some unscrupulous people taking advantage of others. Glad I found these comments from similar cases.

- Richy C replies to MickHi Mick,
I'm especially interested in this case as the SmartStamp code matches up on a scam email I received yesterday - can you send me a copy of the SmartStamp code (or, if you have a barcode scanner, the code itself) for my investigations? Thanks, http://blog.rac.me.uk/2012/05/25/scam-post-mail-from-smart-stamp-2ac-582u/ . - Florence replies to ThinkAboutItOne arrived today from Mr Lee Shun of Chiyu Banking Corporation.
