- AnonymousReceived a call from an unknown person with a thick Indian accent claiming to work for "ITECH." This person claimed my computer had been sending their company alerts about "corrupted and malicious files." I asked not to be contacted again, that my number be placed on their do not call list, and for them to cease & desist all attempts at communication with me. The person on the other end was extremely persistent and called back several times after I hung up.

- Carpe Diem replies to RichSame here. Exact same call from number 855-201-3300 and exact same call back number 855-335-7469. Even though he gave it to me, I didn't call it for fear that it would connect me to some off-shore location and I'd end up with a hefty phone charge. He was dumb enough to hang on while I chewed his ass out. Now off to report it at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
- Carpe DiemJust thought of a great ruse. Tell them you are spamming them on purpose and that it is part of your job as a member of the NSA. Thank them for validating that it is working and ask them if they would kindly tell you what the name of the virus was that worked and what it did.

- CJ replies to Mary| 1 replyReceived a call today. Indian accent saying the public domain server received an alert that my computer is infected. I asked what computer and he could not say. He had me to go www.itecalert.com to try to convince me this was a real support call. I looked up the second address on the web site and went to Google maps. It's a house in a residential area close to the swamps of Florida. Dirt road and all.
Then I looked up the first address and Google maps returned the middle of a soccer field.
I kept him on for 1/2 hour and finally got tired of him trying to explain how he got my name, address and phone number. BTW, my computers were offline when he said that they received the alert. - On To The Bad Guys| 1 replyJust got a call from 8552103300, my mom answered. I got on the other phone when I heard her mention that her computer was fine the last time she was on it. I received the same kind of call about 6 months to a year ago, glad I didn't do what they asked me to do on my computer. I almost fell victim to this scam. Without knowing who my mom was talking to this time I immediately asked if they were from Microsoft Tech help, (the guy had a heavy Indian accent) he said yes. I said "Oh, this is a scam, you tried this with me already, mom just hang up" End of call but not the end of story. I'm going to the police station to file a report. If I have to take it further I will.
Just remember...Microsoft never calls YOU !!! This is a scam to take over your computer!!!
Folks, if this happens to you, please make reports, the more people speak up, the police or someone will have to take action against these low life scammers who need to work an honest job and earn honest money to pay their bills instead of scamming people to get complete control of their computer to harvest your personal information like credit card numbers or bank account numbers to steal your money to pay their bills.
REPORT IT TO THE POLICE!!!!- Caller: 800 Service

- On To The Bad Guys replies to On To The Bad GuysI'm also going on Facebook to explain what happened to me and my mom. If everyone can do that then maybe we can stop someone from being victimized.
- Richard E.Answered the phone. It's the guy with the Indian accent. I must react immediately because my WINDOWS Computer has just downloaded a Virus and several other Malware pgms. which has exposed my personal info, passwords and Credit Card accounts to Identity Thieves. I must quickly hurry to remove this from my WINDOWS Programs these threats according to urgent message he just received from MICROSOFT Headquarters. Oh My God, ... what should I do first? Follow his directions. OK, ... let's get it on. Get my Credit Card for the Professional Service Charge required for Virus removal. OK, ... hang-on, ... it's in the car. Called the cops on my cell. I'm getting scamed right now, ... can we bust this mutt??? How do you know it's a scam??? Easy, ... the perp with the Indian accent says he wants to remove Malware from my WINDOWS Computer. My computer is an Apple iMAC!!! I messed with the perp for 45 minutes and gave him a bogus Credit Card number that he tried every which way to bill and have me repeat the account number and exp. date. Can you wait while I go get my Master Card instead of this VISA??? Sure, he says. 20 minutes later he was still dangling on the line before I broke the bad news to him. I just played you, sucker. Click.
