A voice with an Inda accent said they were notified from Microsoft that my computer was infected and they needed access in order to fix the problem. What a scam this is.

Caller says he's from Microsoft Windows that he is a certified technician and that we have virus on our computer. Heavy Indian accent. I asked that we be removed from their calling list and hung up. He called right back and my wife answered. He asked for me, she wanted to know who was calling and he got very rude asking who she was and that he wouldn't stop calling until he spoke to me. On 8/21/15 a call from this same so called tech service was asked to take us off the list and they hung up.

They've called three times this week, very heavy Indian accents, telling me that my computer is emitting a signal out to the Internet indicating I've been hacked. I told them that I work in computer related security and that what he was telling me was ridiculous. But he stuck with it. After a lot of back and forth I finally told him he is a scumbag and that I knew was a scam; and told him to remove my number from their call list.  They've called twice since then.

They  called me about six months ago  saying  my computer had a virus.. I fell for  that and they told me to let my computer on all night  and the next day it was OK. I paid  about $159 they wanted me to sign for 4 years told them no, Next:  my  credit card  was loaded  with  3 thousand dollars  from a Microsoft company  somewhere in Calif. I  Someone  opened an account  in my  name  to Pay Pal! (I  NEVER do shop at Pay Pal!)   I contacted my Credit Card Company  and they cleaned up  the charges. Now  the same  people keep calling again, and I just   do not answer.

    Not buying this hacker call
Male with accent calling himself Henry Innes called to say my Microsoft computer had been attacked by a hacker.
His company, InTech, wanted to "help solve this problem" for me.  I let him talk and he became very rude, "why won't you let me help you" and "why are you asking me questions".  I told him I was not interested, he was very rude, and I hung up.

Same as all the rest.  I told "Anthony" that I was very grateful for his concern over my computer and that I would like to buy him dinner the next time he was in town.  Kind of got him off his script and after a few more minutes of blather he hung up.

by wasting as much of their time as you can.  Asking to repeat is good ploy. Asking of questions is also good.
To end a session ask them if the are Pakistani, that often lights them off.

Total scammers who then dispute that they are scammers. I yelled at them but normally we play around saying that we can't hear them or that we are waiting for our computer to boot up. I am trying to block their number so that they cannot bug us again. I would get rid of our landline just because of these types of calls. I once also got a call from the IRS with a caller with a very heavy Nigerian accent. If nothing sounds like scammers, it is a Nigerian accent talking to you about money...

Got the same call from Micro Tech, so I played the game.  Told  him, I was old and little hard of hearing and asked for his patients.

When he asked for me for the CLSID, and gave me step by step instructions on how to find it, I need for him to repeat the instructions several times before I got it right.

Had him on the line for about 20 minutes, until he was yelling at me like I was a complete idiot.  At the same time I was doing internet searches on the phone number and the commands he was asking me to run.

He hung up when I told him that I didn't understand what he wanted and he was getting me confused by his loud voice.

My tact was just to waste his time, I'm retired and have know better to do but to aggravate the sob.

I wanted him to give me a call back number so my son in law could call he said no cause I was rude to him. Can't something be done about these calls.

Looking back at my Comcast phone records on 4/11, 8 calls came from this number on 4/11.  Two @ 10:15 a.m. and 6 between 3:23-3:24 p.m.
From the description of what folks have written here, I answered this phone call on 3/11 with a man telling me that Microsoft  yada yada yada...  I told that man with no-uncertain-terms to take me off there list.  Such maddening scamming tactics...
