Unknown caller leaving message for unknown person "regarding a business matter of years that has been sent to the office for review. This is an urgent matter and I strongly advise you to contact my office..." No information on what business matter, if they are with a collection agency, not even a name.

Received a call last night from this number and she left a message.  Caller said she was "Angie" at ext 1266228 and said I had a personal business matter that had been escalated to her office.  She didn't have my correct name at all.  Caller id listed  the number as 614-754-4060 and she asked me to call back at 855-334-4198.  Be careful.  These guys are scammers.

It's not a scam, whoever the person is asking for actually has an account with them that has become past due. In my case they were asking for my college aged son, who had a Gamestop credit card backed by Comenity bank. Sometimes there is a nice message but some of their agents clearly need to be on medicaton.

Considering how many other posters say they got calls for people they had never heard of, that does not sound legit to me. Hence, scam.

Miss Halland from Comenity Bank calling my cell phone, looking for my mother 5 states away. Urgent matter, call back by 3 pm or between 6-9. My mother says her bill is due tomorrow, it is a $60 payment,  in the mail, on a $150 catalog purchase,  so she doesn't know why they would call me. So many posters are saying they call the wrong people, I work for a bank, this is risky behavior that puts customers at risk of fraud.

i have received several calls in recent weeks, different person each time, but all saying Comenity bank, and messege is for same person. No one here by that name, and i know nobody by given name. Always a different "ext. #". Haven't answered or returned any calls.

If this is true, then why call other people's phones incessantly and rudely demand someone call you that isn't even the person you're calling? That's harrassment.

Calls from this number are candidates for being spoofed - and there are probably shill posts in this thread.  For some reason the Comenity Bank name is a fave with scammers.

Be Careful about calls from this number and what info you confirm or offer.  The best thing to do is to call the bank on a number you know is correct and that you dial for yourself.

I got a vm too from 855-334-4198 with this 7 digit ext 1267522 to the same bank calling to reach my daughter about what they cliamed was her account. He had no answer as to why the bank had my number not my daughter's direct cell as if it was a database glitch. Shut this scam down!

Receiving phone calls from 855-334-4198 for unknown persons. The caller indicates that he is Chris from Community Bank and to call him back on extension 1266108 prior to 9:00 PM EST For one thing, banks are not open on Friday night until 9:00 PM. Several calls from this number requesting different people on each call.

I received calls from 855-466-8200  2 times in 2 days not for me of course. #1) Mr Cofelt said its about your NY & Comp. Have a blessed day #2) Jill from same place said it's very important I hear from you.  Gave 855-334-4198 ext 1266480 & 1267521 to call back. I hope they keep waiting for my call. Sometimes I want to call to screw with them but my time is more important than they are
It's so annoying but I don't answer numbers I don't know and it popped up as "Spam risk"

They’ve called me several times claiming to be Comenity Bank and that I need to call them back or legal proceedings will start against me. I have two Comenity accounts, one with Express and one with West Elm and I contacted both and both confirmed my accounts are in perfect standing and they have no record of anyone trying to reach me. The lady at West Elm credit card services told me to ignore these calls, they’re a scam!
