    Don't forget
Any nutcase could be calling using anyone else's name.  Don't blame Ben Carson.  He may not be aware.  Could be scammers using his name.  Sounds to me like a scam number many scoundrels use.

I have been getting calls from 855-402-0737 for 6 months or longer and usually a couple of times a day.  There is never a message.   Instead, they play a loud annoying 10 second hum which sounds like the dial tone but does not play back on on my answering machine.  Caller ID shows:  unavailable.  I screen all my calls and do not pick up unless I know who its from.  I am not in debt or have unpaid bills, although it seems that does not matter to debt collectors.

I do not believe its a political call as they leave a message to vote for their candidate.   What better way to try to ruin a business or political aspirations than to make annoying calls and claim to be that party.

Yeah, it's Ben Carson, not. They're trying to get you to pick up the phone so they have a trail. If you picked up they got you, expect more calls and collection letters.

Called back and this is Ben Carson.  HOWEVER, I wanted to tell you that, like you, I always pay my bills, so ignored calls from "collection agencies" HOWEVER, I had my ID stolen 3 years ago and through the years certain charges have turned up.  You do need to at least listen to these people to see if your ID has been stolen and charges made.  They will work with you and tell you the course of action necessary to resolve it.

If you run your credit report every year you shouldn't go through any trouble. I don't see any reason to answer that kind of call. If it's important, they WILL leave a message. If it's a debt collector... They should have my address to carry business in a formal way. There's no way to identify veracity of identity over the phone. As far as I'm concerned, you can swear you are the Easter bunny over the phone and I will say, "get with sleepy hollow to deal business with" ;-p

It's not the NRA ..... It's national debt recovery debt scam

    John D.
This is one of the NRA's phone numbers, but you most likely weren't called by them, but but the NRA (National Recovery Agency). They spoof the number they report ( What you see on your caller ID), so you can't call them and you will get pissed off at the National Rifle Association and that's who you will get if you call the number that these Telemarketing Debt Collecting Scumbags spoof you with when the call you. Most of the time, they just want to see if it is a good phone number. If so, they add it to telemarketing lists and sell it or they use it. These people and their company are filthy dirtbags!
    • Caller: NRA ( Not Really Tho)
    • Call type: Telemarketer
