Pretty obvious that some people DON'T have a clue how the set ups of computer calling works!!
THIS IS NOT THE NRA calling you BUT you are rec. scam calls from National Recovery Associates!!
Do you REALLY think that the NRA would pester you with calls and then HANG UP as soon as you answer the phone?
Just because it comes up as a call from 855-856-4583 DOESN'T mean the number showing on your caller id is the number they called from!!!  DUH!!!
I'm a firm believer that the phone companies should be held accountable for delivering calls like this to people!! Being on the NO CALL list should enable us to press charges against the phone companies for repeated call like these!

Jerks called me at 8:03 AM. My wife and I were still asleep. This radical NRA group is being reported to Do Not Call. Put these people in prison.

Perhaps AWAKE was woken up by the sound of rifle shots and smell of gun powder, and in the confusion of be woken up from deep sleep, AWAKE assumes that EVERY marketing call is using a spoofed number.  There is a lot more real caller ID info displayed by telemarketers than spoofed info.  The calls to me from 855-856-4583 are from the National Rifle Association.  I have a mortgage, an American Express card, utilities, cell phone and satellite TV bills, and none are now or or have ever been in arrears, so I do not get debt collection calls.  However, I do have a business relationship with the National Rifle Association.  And many others also indicate this number is the National Rifle Association.  So perhaps it IS the National Rifle Association ("DUH!" as AWAKE would say...).

Quit calling!! Leave me alone!

This number is calling a couple of times a week. Now early in the morning..  Of recent it is shortly followed by a 888 number which also rings and never leaves a message.  Any way of stoping these calls.

When I called the number back, it said it was the National Rifle Association.  I have about five numbers in my contact list for them now.  I've never gotten the National Recovery Agency when I have called the numbers back.

This number is NOT the National Rifle Association. This is from a collection agency called national Recovery associates. They are using the NRA trademark in order to dupe people into answering them or being outraged. They will be brought to court for a copyright infringement! They leave no message because they are waiting for you to answer. This action verifies that you are there at the number and they put your name as "connected" They will now begin to harangue and call you as they have verified you r at that number.
Just another lot of lowlife scum who have found a way to "Phish" using a known organization's name. report them!
 It doesn't matter if you owe nothing, they are junk debt buyers and are trying to trick u into disclosing what they think you may know of someone else.
By the way, the real NRA would leave a message, they want to talk to you!

This is indeed the National Rifle Association. NOT A RECOVERY debt number. They aren't trying to hide their name, etc. They do want to talk to you.

This is the NRA and they will never leave a message. When I return the call it is always a recording and they will never give me the option to opt out of their calls. It is getting on my last nerve.

They said to me it was NRA and I said your what? what does NRA stand for they saod it is National riffle association with a survey for  my other half. I told them I have no idea but that no one is interested in thier survey

when you call this number back it states it is the National Riffle assc.

Just got ANOTHER call from these people! They don't ever say exactly who they are, but they leave long robo-messages on my voicemail, saying "this call is for Tequilia so-and-so", press 1 to talk to a rep, hang up if this is the wrong #. Well, we hang up, we've actually tried to talk to a rep, but pressing 1 just disconnects the call. How can these idiots be stopped? They've even called my house after 10 PM! There is no Tequilia at my house, but their little robo-call program won't take no for an answer.
