Said he was calling from (walmart??) tech support to help me with my computer. He said it needed to be serviced every 6 months. I said there was nothing wrong and didn't need anything. He thanked me and hung up quickly.

Just got a call saying he was Geek squad tech support and that my computer was downloading malicious material. I asked where he received this information to which he responded through their server. He asked if I was sitting in front of a computer and I told him no. He then proceeded to ask me "why you no like to sit at computer". Tell this guy to pound sand.

Just missed a call from this number. Came here to look it up. Thanks for all the great comments. Obviously a scam artist to be avoided.

Got a call from this number.did not answer as i don't know the number. ......... glad i ignored it! !!!!

My husband got a call from that number. He didn't recognize it, so didn't answer it. We looked it up here and found it to be a wise discussion. 3 minutes later, they called my cell phone. I did not answer either. We both blocked it. Thanks for the info.

Called to tell me my computer was reporting it had a virus. He then asked if I could be in front of my computer. I hung up.

This was a scammer saying that many complaints had been logged about my computer sending out bad emails and so on. Bottom line...I've gotten these before and it's a ransom-ware scam.

Received a call from this number today. Male with heavy accent saying something about my computer being beautiful. ???? I hung up.

Caller claimed that they were monitoring my PC and it was recently infected with malware. When I asked him what type of PC I had he said they were only monitoring the operating system. When I asked him what system he said a vrrsion of Windows. When I asked what version he said that was not important. When I asked how they could he monitoring my system for malware and not know my PC type or software he abruptly hung up the phone in my face.

Very rude male asking questions regarding my computer.  I told him I did not have a computer and he called me a liar.
He was a scam artist trying to get me to do something stupid.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone, it is registered from a caller from China  but the man sounded Indian he said I had an Malware  on my computer that needed to be fixed.  I hung up

got call just now, ask for computer I said I don't have computer then he hang up.

Got a call. Asked if i could hear them and hung up.

Got a call on my mobile, Indian accent claiming to be "Geek Squad" providing Windows support for my computer as it had been downloading dangerous software which was impacting my network services software.  He was offering to help fix the issue, until I asked "Does anyone even fall for these fake Windows support calls anymore?" - the call was promptly disconnected.

[***] calls said he was computer tech, started laughing and hung up.

Called to say they were getting reports of a computer virus in my area and wanted me to turn on my computer. I asked what area and they said the area from my area code (which is thousands of miles from where I live).

Obviously a scammer/social engineering. When I said I would report this number, they hung up.

Came on my cell while on other call.... identified caller as  'forwarded call' ... I did not answer
