I won't answer if I don't know the number. I turned my answering machine off so it just rings until they get tired of listening. This company seems to have a set number of rings, (maybe 5) I didn't count, before it hangs up and they move on to irritate the next person.

Go online and buy a Digitone call blocker it blocks individual numbers and complete area codes.....worth the money for silence!!

Received a call from this number today (Sunday morning), December 18, and December 13.  It comes up as Toll Free, but no information. They don't leave messages. They wait until the answering machine picks up before they hang up.  I saw a previous message a person said the American Heart Association was receiving a lot of complaints and they were looking in to it / investigating.  That was in 2011.  Either they haven't looked into it that much or another group picked the same telemarketer to call.  
Sorry, but if you don't leave a message the phone will NOT be picked up.

People - this is NOT a site where you communicate with the person(s) that called you and you're posting comments about.  So STOP posting "make them stop calling me" or other reasonable statements!   Call them BACK and tell the person to take you off their call list.  That's the ONLY way to do it.

I have told them no.  I did do this for a few years,  NO ONE ever answered my letters.  I live in a working class neighborhood and people can not afford to contribute to all the charities that ask for their help. Sorry comment on the times we live in.

Buy a Panasonic phone and block 500 numbers.    Hopefully they will come out with another model to block 1000.    Works great.
Too easy to get around DNC list which I gave been forever and it is a joke.   Everybody becomes a charity, politician or some crap.  Not sure what the septic tank treatment clowns consider themselves...  Politicians no doubt....

Caller says he is a professional fund raiser for the "American Heart Association" but the caller ID says "Anonymous" so which is it?  
A way to stop the calls, if they are from a true charity, is to tell the caller that the next call will result in no more donations to the particular charity, EVER.

I am totally turned off by any company that calls before 9:00am in the morning. People that work are not home and the rest of us are getting our day started or sleeping due to night work or illness. And why not identify yourself. I'd probably answer American Heart Assn. but I will never answer unknown or unavailable.  AHA has lost my support!

I answered the phone this afternoon. It said incoming call; did not show a  number.  I picked it up thinking it was my son calling.  It was the American Heart Association.

Received call asking for someone who doesn't live here  and when I told them, they simply hung up on me. Very rude if this was in fact the American Heart Association.

They call most mornings right around 9 AM. I pick it up and immediately hang up. Maybe that's why they call almost every freakin' morning, they like a challenge!

Receive a number of calls daily from this number. VERY ANNOYING!!

It is a felony to open other's mailboxes unless you are a mail carrier.
