Caller left a voice mail message.  Caller was male with strong deep voice, said his name was "Mike Davis" and for me to call (866) 376-7835 x1110.

I had the same call, but the extension was different (1101). The caller said my name was given as a contact name. I returned the call. The message was from the "ACSI Student Loan department".  ACSI is Automated Collection Service Incorporatd.  When I asked them what they did, they asked for my name. I said I wouldn't give my name without knowing who they are... They hung up.

They have been incorrectly calling me for years...no matter how many times I tell them they have the wrong individual, they can't seem to fix their computer system.

A man from this phone number, "Phil Dyer", (extension 1111) has been harrassing me, telling me I owe on my student loan. He said it is in default and that I have to pay him $450 a month to catch it up. He told me my loans were sold to the company he works for. HOWEVER, I called my original lender and my loans are still in deferrment and have NOT ben sold to anybody. So he either has the wrong person or is a scammer.

Anthony Jackson called my cell phone--I don't know how he got that number--looking from my son.  He didn't identify what ACSI was or did, but left an account sounding number.  After reading Carly's comments, not sure I would call back.

I get called by the same number, ext.1101. They are asking for the person who owned my number 2 1/2 years ago. I've told them I don't know this other person yet they continue to call me. I am in the process of filing a complaint.

You need to tell them "Stop calling Me". These people are [***], if they continue to call you after being told to stop you should report them to The FTC under the Fair Dept Collection Practices Act at:

I received a phone message addressed to both my husband and myself stating that it was critical that we contact them at this number. The extension was 1112 and Bernard King was the contact's name. When you call the number and type in the extension, this deep, husky voice comes on and says that if you were contacted or received a letter from ACSI then it was very critical and urgent that you contact them...Or he requests that you leave your name, social security number, and phone number on his voice mail.  In the message on my answering machine he even gives a case number for you to reference when/if you call them back.  I plan on calling them and will update any new info as it becomes available.

This man by the name of Ron Powell calls looking for my sister and states it is an urgent business matter.  He gives the number to call him this number, 1-866-376-7835, ext 1101 to relay this message to my sister.  He also states he is in Nashville.  He is not looking for me personally.  I have no student loans anymore so I'm not worried but have no idea what my sister may have done.

Almost identical to the last comment.  A man named Ron Powell Called my husbands phone which used to be my brothers who now lives out of the country.  He asked for my brother and my husband told him that he lives out of the country.  He sounded intimidating and said that it is urgent that my brother call him but won't say what it is about 'a personal matter' and that he only has a couple of weeks to call him befor the situation gets bad.  He says he's from ACSI and leaves the number 1-866-376-7835 ext 1101.  I wanted to know what ACSI was so I googled it and am glad that I did befor I call my brother

The man by the name of Phil Dyer had called my work several of times I have ask him to  quit calling I have threaten him I dont know what else to do.  He said he is from ACSI collecting for a student loan.  I need to know their address because I want to sue them for harassing me.

How do I get these jerks to stop calling?

I haven't received a call from them persay I actually got there info from my lender when I tried to enroll back into school. I was refre to them about my loans and I came across a Bernanrd King. He has been very helpful to me and pleasant I ahve been with them from since March and I am getting back into school for come February. So I will let you know about the company if and when I start school.

A Fred Bailiff from ACSI called here saying he needed urgently to have a Larry Faulk call him back today at 866-376-7835 x1117.  I'm guessing it's a scam since I've been here 15 years and I've never heard of Larry Faulk.  Until I searched and found this list, I nearly called Bailiff back as a courtesy to let him know he had dialed the wrong number.  Thanks so much for saving me!

ACSI student loan collector.  Greg Jones, ext 1119, called to collect on a student loan that I have placed a voluntary forbearance on since I am in the military. I advised him of the status of the loan, and he threatened me, saying that he will get the military to garnish my wages, I said go ahead and try, since I have clear as day records in front of my face that state the forbearance, but he kept on insisting that the loan is in default.  Very, extremely, rude and unproffesional person.  If this loan was valid, I probably wouldn't want to pay since he was so rude.  He's mad because he didn't meet his quota...LOL hahaha.

I've recieved calls from ACSI as well and I can assure you the calls ARE legit. They are a Nashville collection agency in good standing with the BBB and the chamber of commerce (Check it out) these numb skulls above are mostly professional debtors who don't pay anyone. If you indeed are defaulted on a Govt. backed loan, I found them to be professional, courteous and extremely helpful in getting it back on track.

Called and left a message that I was given as a reference.  They are trying to collect on a student loan from my 30 year old daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is an outright lie that I was given as a reference!!!!!!!!!!!!!
