Just got a call... they are "Career Advisor." They got my name and number from a job application site. I thought it was shady but it was too late!! Ugh! I told them I'm going to grad school in the fall and they asked if I picked a school and I told them yes, and that was the end of it.

I actually just called them, and it is someone trying to give you information about "furthering your education".  I had been getting these calls too.  It's because of carrers.com

at the 5.30pm,i received a call, while i said hello they didnot respond for a while. seconds later,they said my name and phone number,i asked who is that? they still didnot respond,and then hang up. i am so amazing. can someone tell me what is it?

You guys are idiots, if you have such a problem answering the phone, don't get a phone, because they are designed for talking to PEOPLE.
They are a marketing company for continuing education.  You probably went to a website (job.com, careerbuilder.com, etc you get the idea) and filled in your information for a job, where there was a checkbox for "I'm interested in continuing my education" (I made sure it was UNCHECKED) and I got a call anyway.  I called them back and told them I wasn't interested, he said no problem, there must have been a glitch in our system, I'll make sure to put your name as do not call.
Simple enough.

STOP CALLING MY NUMBER

ever since i applied at a couple jobs on snagajob.com i've been getting calls from weird 3 to 4 digits numbers 4102, 5009, 421, 401. they've been calling at least once or twice a day. and now this number is calling 866-539- 4654. i never pick up the phone if i don't know the number. thinking of changing my number...

i just got a call from them.. they show up as unknown #'s usually and they've left me a couple of messages. Weird.

But basically, they're looking to sell me a school course code? the guy i spoke to said his name was daniel.

I keep getting phone calls from 866-539-4654 even after I repeatedly told them to stop calling me.  They are a telemarketer for continuing education from the JOB.COM website.  The website and the job that I applied to are both hoaxes.  Shalon is the name of the person who called today.

I keep getting calls too..and at random times. like ay 7 pm 9 pm even 12am. I answer and there is no one ever there..it is always silent. I try calling back and it says their offices are closed.....grrr

This number just called me and said I had visited a career builder web site or something like that. They knew my name and I probably signed up for a site of theirs. They said they can offer me a free service in helping me locate career training. I told the person I was already in school. So they basically said "bye."

they called me, and called me and so finally I answered and told them to stop, now, they call and hang up and when I try to talk to someone, itʻs "out of area!" And I used that snagajob.com too! they probably gave out my number!!

The only reason career advisor called you was because you submitted your information on one of their websites if you don't want to be called don't submit your information to a website that you don't know they are not trying to sell you anything they are just trying to help you find schools that offer the programs that you are interested in. If you are not interested in schools then just tell them that you are already attending school or you were just looking for a job. Why everyone feels like this is an invasion is beyond me you got on a website and filled out forms do you really think that they just use that information for their own records wake up and realize that you gave your information up willingly and don't be a jerk to someone when they are only trying to help you or someone like you just be polite to people and you will usually get politeness back

they dont give up... about 5 calls a day and ive asked them to STOP CALLING. and they wont. so i changed my number... wish me LUCK!

Its Career Advisors - its a company that gets your contact data for shell sites set up to make you think you are applying for a job.

This number keeps calling my cell number.

Keeps calling 2 x day for the last week.  No one on the other end. Can't tell them to stop. Never leaves a message.

this number has called twice this week and will not leave a message, i do not answer my cell phone unless i know the number  (866) 539-4654

They are a continuing education company(Career Advisers). Having asked them to remove my phone number from their phone list, they have continued to call and harrass us. I applied for an snagajob.com position and I think this is where they got the infomation. this is not good. Won't be using snagajob again!!!
