They call occasionally and leave a one-second message of silence on the answering machine. Incredibly irritating.

Please go to the FCC site: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm
and submit a formal complaint against this company.  Maybe we can finally get them to stop.

I am averaging 4 calls a day from this number. I am on the Do-Not-Call-List and I have told three different callers that am an agent that offers the same kind of coverage to my clients and am not interested in buying from them and to REMOVE ME FROM THEIR LIST.  Yet, they keep calling....

This really gets under my skin as a consumer and a professional!!!!

If you call the number back you can select the option to be put on the "no call list" without actually speaking to anyone. I am not sure if this will work but its worth a try. I have been getting this calls repeatedly from someone selling ins. on behalf of Countrywide (whom my mortage is through). I have asked the caller several times to stop calling (they are calling my work number) and I have even talked to the manager and it still hasn't stopped. I am especially angry with Countrywide for selling my info!

Yes, DO NOT CALL 1-888-528-8460!  You will have to give these scumbags your social security number.  I also dialed the return number and tried to have myself removed by entering my 10 digit phone number.  It read my number back to me correctly but then said it was an invalid selection.  Tried several times & same answer.  Wells Fargo is a terrible company who has been sued several times for telemarketing.  Just google them & you see all kinds of complaints.  File a complaint with the government and go on twitter as well, demanding that Wells Fargo telemarketing stop calling you!!

Been receiving calls daily sometimes 3 times a day.  I've been hanging up on them and they still call.  Finally this morning I answered the phone and the lady asked to speak to Adam.  There is not Adam that lives here, never have and probably never will.  She apologized and said goodbye. Of they call again They are sure to have some hell fire going from my direction.  :)

Since this company does not stop when asked play thier game. Call them back.  he first time call back 10 times, the next time 100 and so on.  It cost them money each time the 866 phone # is dialed.

If you have call waiting you can hit the flash btton while dialing and get two calls going on one phone line.  Use your cell phone too.

You sould be able to make 50 calls in 20 minutes.  It also takes up "ports" on thier automated machines.

Do not just read this fight back.  You are only "treating others as they treat you".

See if we can make so many calls the lines are all busy.  I am making 100 calls today because they called again today!

I get this telemarking call twice a day, once in the morning around 9:30 and in the afternoon aroud 5:30 every day.  It is always from 1-866-549-9190, caller I.D. shows caller as Telemarketing and sometimes shows caller unavailable.  They always ring 4 times and hang up.  I never answer, but it is very annoying.  I have an unlisted number and I don't appreciate any calls from a telemarketing company or anyone else that I have not given my number to.  I pay for unlisted number to have privacy.  I do not have any business with Wells Fargo.

The national pandemic of telephone terrorism perpetrated by desperate criminal collection agencies is because they are trying to terrorize people who are naive enough to answer and submit to unsolicited telephone calls or written "collection" letters that have no legitimate legal debt associated with them or any of the companies, universities, or whomever else they claim to represent. Because most "little guys" were bankrupted by the criminal Wall St/Congress/Big Oil/Big Bankers/Big Business/Military/Robber Barons, so the desperate collection agencies are attempting to collect unpaid debts from innocent people by terrorizing them into submission.

Word of advice. NEVER answer any calls you don't recognize or are not expecting. Use selective call rejection service if available, or switch to an Internet-based telephone service which provides comprehensive call rejection options. If rogue calls become chronic, turn off all the ringers on all of your phones except one, and set its volume to the minimum setting. If you don't answer the call and the caller is legitimate, they will usually leave a voicemail after the first or second try. Rogue callers never leave voicemail messages because that could be used as evidence against them if it came to a lawsuit. If you receive a rogue letter in the mail warning you of some "collection" action against you, if you don't actually owe it, reply with a short letter stating that you don't owe it. Or if you do owe all or part of it, reply with something like "You claim I owe you a debt. Under §809 FDCPA, I request validation of this debt."

Only give them your name as THEY have written it to you (e.g. “John Doe” not “Jonathon Q. Doe” or however you normally sign your own name), address, and the account number they report. But if you do not owe the debt (zombie debt, aged debt, mistaken or stolen identity, forgery, etc.) state that you have never done any business with them or with the (alleged) original creditor of any kind and you expect the collection agency to close the matter, stop harassing you and take any bad credit marks they've caused off of your credit rating, and furthermore, that any further contact from them must be in writing on their official business correspondence letterhead. Send your letter to them a.s.a.p., always within thirty days, first class certified mail return receipt requested. If they refuse it and you get the letter back unopened, leave it unopened and save it in your files as evidence against them should they pursue legal action against you. If they did receive it and continue to pursue action against you, let them. The judge will throw it out of court. If the rogue collection agency sells your account to another rogue collection agency just tell them the claim has been proven invalid and offer to send them a copy of your letter to the previous rogue collection agency. Warn all your friends about this rash of desperate collection agency terrorism, and how to combat it. Knowledge is power. The more you learn how to combat rogue collection agencies, back-taxes scammers, and other flimflammers, the more you will learn how easy it is to do.

Above all, keep a record of everything, of every rogue call w/ caller ID information displayed including time and day of each call. Maintain a complete file on any snail-mailed intimidation from rogue collection agencies, including copies of all correspondences and postal receipts. Reporting rogue calls on sites like
800notes.com, whocallsme.com, phoneowner.info is a great idea too, because many people find these sites by googling for the rogue number(s) after receiving calls from them.

We've received several calls from this number - even when I answer the phone no one answers.   We do not have any accounts with Wells Fargo.   Really annoying - I've had two calls so far today and it's just noon.   I called the number suggested in another message but I am not willing to give out my social security number to someone I do not know.
