i got one of these also. it's got to be a rip off the guy says his name is jd. also  a freind asked me to check out "grants360" there was a $1.95 charge for a kit ((by mail). i paid for it with a credit card. the next day i was looking at my statment for that card and grants360 tried to charge my first $85.00 then $35.00. fortunatly i'm still a little bit leary of online shopping so i only use green dot visa and i don't put more than $20.oo on it. 20 i can handle better than $2,000.00.

I got a call and the paper in the mail suggesting there was $25k waiting for me at their office. I was immediately skeptical and am glad that I checked them out.

I also received the card today. I thought it might be bogus so came online to check it out. Thank you all so much and thank goodness for sites like this where we can go to check things out before getting into a bunch of trouble.

if any one fell for this scam and gave them your info you should talk to your local police or leagle aid and they should be able to tell you what you should do.the reason these scams keep happening is there very difcault to find and stop and as soon as one scam is stoped another pops up so its anever ending battle.

Didn't call the number or get call from them, but this is the number to call to 'claim your interest in $25,000.00!  Yeah, and I'm, the Easter Bunny!  How do these people get away with this crap?

Today I too received this letter/postcard from G.F. Institute.  I checked it out on computer and found all the comments about this company on your comments.  Thanks for telling people it really is "too good to be true"

I got my card today, thank God i checked this website, it is to good to be true...The government needs to find a way to stop people from trying to take advantage of others...

i called anyway, after reading everyones comments. after listening to the automated answering system, an operator answered asking for the code and my name.
i quickly told her i heard this was a scam.
and she, after ignoring my comment went on to ask me if i wanted to buy the package to get my grants.
i said no, and she quickly said have a good day.

I recieved an official (I use this word VERY LIGHTLY) Enevolope W/ my name from the GRANT FUNFS INSTITUTE KANSAS CITY KANSAS "Your Access To Government Funds" with the 1-866-576-9176 number inside stating that I'd been approved for a $25,000 Grant that wouldn't have to be paid back! I was to call this number as they have been tring to get in touch with me. They gave me a release code so I could get the $25,000 and I had to call within the next 36 hours or the grant would go to someone else. Needless to say, I wasred minuted on my phone which I can't afford to do beings I only own a cell phone, and got an automated recording telling me to send them $59.00 for some kind of fee so I'd be able to recieve MY MONEY!!!!!!!!! That's HORRIBLE!!! I'm close to being indigent, losing my house, need government assistance to keep my gas and electric on and hardly have ANY FOOD to speak of!!! Also I've got 7 permenent disabilities which I only recieve &700 per month for!!! I've been tring like crazy to get a grant of some kind for medical, and medication money!!! This is about the 9th time I've reieved something saying I've either won money, or got FedExed conterfite Money Grams, plus alot of stuff that really looks offical and only to have my hopes dashed yet again!!!!!!!!! I WISH somebody would or could do something about these jerks!!! I'm so... very sick I can't even get out of bed in the am, and Have to use my phone w/internet just to look for asstistance, doctors, medicine!!! I hope to GOD these people get what's coming to them!!! I don't have a credit card or I'd order the Grant Secrects CD, but if I had a credit card I wouldn't need a grant!!! I recieved offical telegram stating I've been approved for $25,000 with # to call. Needless to say I called it found out they want $59 for the info on how to get this money!!! I'm disabled with 7 disabilities, indigent also. I've been tring for 3 and 1/2 years to get a disability grant, this letter is what I got !!!!!!!!! I'm SO... VERY SICK, can't get, up need medicine, a doctor, food,assistance to pay my bills and I actually thought GOD had answered my prayers!!! I'M BEGGING ANYONE OUT THERE GET THESE "*"#%*#:''*!!! PLEASE!!! They deserve whatevers coming to them!!! Just to bring people's hopes and dreams crashing down is the most horrific thing you can do to a person!!! I need Money so very badly I'm losing my home, and I'll be out on the streets, and you have these jerks making me believe for once everything will be O.K.!!! Thanks for all the info on this G. F. Institute scam. Here it is, April 17, 2009 and they are still throwing out their lines to see who they can hook. Mine was a mailed notice.  Very sorry to hear that Carl Lee gave them his SS#.  They are hitting people in desperate times.  My warning to everyone is as stated in one of the previous comments: " If it sounds too good to be true, it definately is".

I jus got the letter saying I waz approved to for 25,ooo.oo, it did sound 2 good 2 be true. considering they r saying the goverment is giving away money. but I say keep up wit ur scam, cus the goverment really has 2 do something wit these companies. who want to take for senoirs citizen or the poor. we are in a deep recession, and I feel sorry if they do get someone who is old and  in need of money. I've received phone msgs over and over again wanting my information to obtain the $25 K. I've ignored all the phone msgs on my cell; however, they're trying by the ole standard mail method. GFI Institute is a scam and don't be turned on by a free $25K grant that does not exist. Please do not call the 866-576-9176 number and expect anything. THIS SCAM SHOULD BE REPORTED AND STOPPED BECAUSE SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET BIT.

Yes indeed, I just received rthe same letter so I decided to be a bir pro-active and called the number and listened to the recorded message. after the recording was done I pressed "1" as instructed. I did get connected to a live operator...operator number 9882, Alisa. I instantly informed her that this letter and this call are going to be reported to the Attorney General as well as the US Postmaster, to which she simply said "Thank you, Goodbye" and just hung up. Do not be fooled by scams such as these. They are just out to get your money and your personal information. I am very tempted to call them and tell them that same thing everyday to send them a message.

The US Attorney General should go after these and some of those internet "get rich quick" Scammers. But sadly  most of them are barely staying within the law and razzle dazzle you until they hook you and you find out too late you've been taken.

When calls come in like this # It shows on caller ID. I do not answer because my phone is blocked and they have to unblock it. Than I check to see if a message is left and if not  void it. Also I know this was a scam because the so called Goverment dose not work this way
