It seems to be an outburst of scams going around. G.F. Institute is the same people who call themselves Union Workers Credit Services. The mispelled my name in the same way on both mailings. Beware of these clowns, and report them to the proper athorities.

I got a mailing a few days ago,I called and listened to their pitch,and then I decided to go online and ended up here.Good thing. Thanks for your site.

I did not get a call but I did get a post card with a code number release and the 8665769176 from G.F. Institute. I am so glad my wife always check theese things for me on the internet. Because I can always be persuazive. I am always quick to send money orders to get more money.

April 6 2009 I recieved a 4 x6 card from the G F Institute Kansas City Kansas saying I could get goverment grants for 25,000 and not pay a thing back but I needed to respond back in 36 hours and use a release code of 3275 I called the 1-866-576-9196 and listened to the message and then went to the library and found out it's all a lie to get your 59.00 because that is what they ask for to recieve a booklet of how to get your grant and never pay it back.  If it sounds to good to be true then it is to good to be true. this is just a scam and I'm glad I went to the net to check it out/ IT'S ALL FAKE JUST LIES!!!!!!!

HI I got the same letter to last week friday it did seem to good to be true, so i decided to call and find out some information about and the whole deal was i had to give them my dept card number and i will recive a package explaning how can i receive the grant and if i don't recevie my 25k they will refund my 59.99 back so i told her i'll call back when i have the funds because i wanted to do my research first and thank God i did thank you guys you saved my life God will Bless You.

I also received a mailing today, April 7, 2009.  I didn't think it was kosher so I googled G. F. Institute and found many people got the same mailing so I ripped it up and thru it away.  Seems as though this has been going on for at least a year.

These people trying to scam good tax paying people really gets at this time when so many people are out of work and our economy is such a mess..and there is so much coruption in our govenment..But we are Americans and we will rise again.and our nation will rise again.we might be down right now but we aren't out.everyone keep your chin up and your head held high..my son almost went to jail because of a scam.

yep  a letter came in mail today like you all did..  sham  sham scam  scam.
who is G.F. Institute  anyway?  Can't they be stopped?  There are some people who will fall for this.  Glad  i didn't.

I called the # and new right away it was a scam..He was too windy and you never pay money up front that is how they make all there money from people like us. We need to turn them in so people do not get scammed...

I know it's a Scam, I have received many different letters before.
Don't even bother to call them, work hard for your money, nothing is free.

I am so glad that I looked it up.  People like this preying on people during financial strain should be shamed of themselves.  I am not only going to post but I am going to tell everyone I know.  The old word of mouth... Thanks so much for everyone's comments.  Like the person stated only God can give you something that's too good to be true.

I got a letter also. The first thing I did is google it. All I can find is scam responses posted. Thanks for the heads up!

I received a mailer from G.F. Institute of Kansas City, Kansas...Your access to Government Funds.

The mailer was titled, "IMPORTANT RELEASE OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS PENDING"
Deadline for response is 36 hours to call the above phone number to confirm interest in receiving funds of $25,000.00.
This was listed as a Grant from the U. S. Government to use as I see fit.

I was requested to quote the release code of 3284.

Thank goodness I checked it out on line and didn't call.   Why can't these scammers be stopped?   Thanks for alerting everyone on line.
I can see how people who do not own a computer could fall for this in this difficult economic time.

i called thast num,ber and it said i could get 25,000 dollar grant if id just pay 5995 for a guide

Does anyone feel like trying to find out who this is? I wouldn't mind having a face to face meeting with this person... There is nothing I hate worse than some jerk taking advantage of people. How many people pay the 60?

Just received a letter from the G.F Institute and a phone number about a $25,000 grant for me, this has scam written all over it
1. No address and not a member of BBB
2. The government does not hand out unsolicited grants to anyone it is a tedious process and requires much paperwork.
3. There are no "free lunches" on the net it has become a scammers paradise

My 10 year old received a letter from this GF institute today (04/13/09). This is not the first time he has received stuff like this.He's gotten numerous preapproved credit card apps.

Get "866-576-9176" constantly calling me, never leaving a message.  Got the mailer that I was approved a $25,000 Grand from the U.S. Government.
I had 36 hours to respond.

I'll take your advice that it is bogus!  Thank you for letting us all know.
