I just received a call from these guys, saying I owe them money. All the times I've actually used PayPal, I know for a fact that I was able to pay for it. Somehow, they came up with a negative fee in my account, and now they're asking me to pay for it. Is this a joke? It's about 70 bucks, and their debt collectors are RUDE as hell. She basically told me to shut up and pay the money. I asked her if she was stupid, and whether or not she understood the English language (she wouldn't stop babbling); she didn't reply. I laughed and hung up.

Paypal can't do nothing don't worry they can't disturb your credit office beleive me, they don't has any power they can call you 25 times but they can't do nothing if not why calling 25 times think about it.

They left a message recarding a urgent business matter.  Of course when I phoned the number it didn't state a company.  Automated message in french and then nothing.  Not even the name of their company.   Duh!! If it is so urgent, just send me a registered letter (if they have my address which they don't).  Or if super urgent regarding family send the police.

Obviously a very good scam going on.  I am debt free so not sure why they are calling.

I do pay my bills and am debt free and they still phone.  What's your excuse??

It's the company PayPal uses when there's a problem with an account.  They have at least a 2-week gap when an account problem is reversed and the automated system keeps calling.

This is a collection agency.  However, any legitimate debt collector or collection agency never uses an automatic answering system to have you call them back.   They generally want to speak to you personally.  Also, if they are legitimate they would know your name, address etc and send you a letter stating the facts.  If this isn't done, then don' t bother with them in any way.

they call heere often as someone uses my phone number for paypal. i askthem to stop calling and they dont so i just do the ill call you 50times a day thing and see how you like it, after 40-50 calls they tell me there ganna call the cops , i say now you know how i feel stop calling me , it works everytime, call,ask how there doing and if bob is there they say no,hang up , and repeat ,

they really hate me and dont call back

I tried the trick suggested above of calling and claiming to be someone else. He said he'd put a hold on my number and apologized. So far, so good.

If this is a legitimate collection agency they wouldn't be on an automated system.  They would actually speak to you and explain concerns and the reason they are calling.  AND if they were legitimate they would also write you a letter explaining why they were trying to get in touch with you.  If these 2 things aren't done, then they have no claim to anything.

pay pal is the biggest scammers ever my visa was expired in 09 and i owed them no money  i bought a few things came out of my account and checked with seller if got money they re add my visa and put a new expire date on my visa  they  took 2800 off my expired visa and there telling me that i owe them money .....get herassed by them by phone calls voice mail ...... GET IT THOUGH YOUR HEAD PAYPAL IAM NOT CALLING YOU BACK SO  LEAVE ME ALONE BEFORE SEEING YOU IN COURT

Received a Call from these people. Was paypal asking to collect money, I sold an Item a few months back, and bought something with it. I then got into Negative balance, and they want me to pay them over some idiotic scam, when i'm not in fault. Not paying them, and blocking there number. Annoying people, very annoying.

At least twice a day.  I have now resorted to turning off my answering machine and just letting the phone ring, or pressing the talk then end button on the phone.  This has been going on for three months!!!  

I work off cash and never buy off internet so I know I do not owe anyone any money!!!

I think this is a legit number as I was called and talk to someone and my paypal account is in the negative.
However after I said who as was and asked who that is and he gave me that Financial company name he wanted to verify my info. At this time I said, "I don't know who you are, tell me what this is about".
He said he can't tell me until I tell him my address and such for verification.
So I said " Well I can't tell who you are, so will not give any more information out" . He said fine they will call me another time. I said "you called, me if you don't tell me what this is about, then don't call me".  That's when he got loud that I don't cooperate and they have the right to call, I just hung up.
We'll see what is next.
PS: Don't use paypal for transactions more then a few bucks.

I pay my bills..  I have no idea why they say I owe them money and no one at PayPal will tell me why I'm getting these calls and bills and messages saying I owe money.  Would you pay a bill that Sears sent you if you didn't shop at Sears????

Constantly receive calls from this # giving me a reference # to use when I call back.   I have call display and never answer a number I do not recognize, especially an 866, 888 or any other toll free #, I just let it go to the answer machine.  But they keep on calling, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week.   Guess they have nothing else to do.

For over a month, just calls and hangs up

I get these calls every once in a while. But the never work. Never leave a message and when I press talk on my iPhone it never connectS

I keep getting this number calling me.  When I called the first time they tried to tell me that I owed them $25.00 on Pay Pal.  The person was very rude on the phone. I said as per Canadian laws, they can not leave messages with out stating the company that is calling when trying to collect on delinquent accounts.  
They also tried to Tell me that in order to pay I had to give them my bank account number and they would take the money direct from my account.  I asked if they thought I was that stupid.
I told them that if I in deed owed the money to send a register letter stating this as I would have written proof.of owing (which I know if not true)

I have called a second time  and told them to take me to court if they won't send the letter and still feel that I owe them.  If they don't want to do that then to stop the calls.
They are still calling, I just erase them and have blocked the numbers.

This is a scam and they are not following the laws around collection the a persons rights.

calling me about urgent business mater. i know for a fact that my paypal balance is in the negative because i had almost 10+ people dispute payments.. (must of all have been the same person trying to scam me..) not even gonna bother calling them back since they dont even state why they are calling or who the heck the are

Annoying message filling up my voice mail. Calling twice even three times a day. How to stop these guy from calling?
