I got one last night and again this morning, even tho the payment for the balance of my barclay card was paid ans came out of account it was credited to my account.  Several calls later to the bank and barclay it is getting resolved.  The best thing you can do is loook into it, check your account by calling barclay directly.  NEVER GIVE ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU YOUR SS NUMBER.  Call the credit card company direct and tell them you do not feel this practice is competitive in todays market of protecting your information......

I just received another call from this number.  Asking for someone I do not know about their Carnival Mastercard.  I push the corresponding numbers every time to let them know that this person cannot be reached at this number.  So today I called the number back and a male voice answered for a Heating and Air Company.

Received a call from unknown caller from this number (866-740-4298) and the caller ID displayed the number with "CustomerSupport" underneath the number.

Somehow, they were able to bypass my voicemail and the phone rang 6 or more times! My voice mail is supposed to pick up after the 4th ring! This is not the only call that I have experienced this trick.

It is definately the US Airways credit card calling, because the account is past due, over limit, etc.

This company is called Barclays Bank, based in the UK.  They have been calling my multiple times a day and leaving me voicemails about my Juniper Visa Card.  I dont have a card, I dont know how they got my number.  When I pick up it prompts me to enter my social security number.
I call their number back from a different phone and they say that they cant look up my cell number becuase they need more personal information from me to identify the "account" and then delete the number.   I DONT HAVE AN ACCOUN WITH THEM! And the only solution they gave me was to pick up the phone next time and wait for a person to come on the line after all the prompts are exhuasted.
I am so upset about this. Their customer service was terrible and offered no help.   Does anyone know how to take action against them?  Can we report them to a business bureau or something?

Any company and I mean ANY company that wants to call (I am on a do not call list too) and wants to do business with you and doesn't have the courtesy to leave a message doesn't deserve to do business and should be reported.  I had 15 calls from Sirus XM satellite company and not ONE TIME did they have the courtesy to leave a message until I filed a complaint on the Government Do Not Call registry.

These people need a class action lawsuit filed against them for using an automated phone service that calls people requesting them to input the last 4 digits of their social security number into their keypad!

According to my caller ID, nothing more than a  "toll free number" has been calling my home, repeatedly to try to con me into doing such a thing!  Repeatedly also assuring me that they will keep my social security number confidiential, oh sure!

Anyone who would actually comply with such a request made by a total stranger, via an automated phone service, no less, is virtually asking for their identity to be stolen!  By engaging in this practice, whoever is doing this, at minimum, is enabling identity theft--at minimum!  In my opinion, all victims of identity theft should file a class action lawsuit against the companies that engage in this practice.

This practice also needs to be made illegal, again, in my personal opinion!

Received multiple calls.  Yhey claim to be from Barclay Bank.  I have no cc w/ Barclay Bank.  I requested to speak w/ a supervisor.  They kept pushing me for my personal info.  Finally, after I repeatedily refused over 20 times, they claim to have the wrong number.

Seems like a scam to me...

Getting constant calls and voicemails from this number.  When I call back, it only says customer support and will not say for who.  Then they want the last 4 digits of my SS#

I hope I don't get harrassed. I get better things to do at work than check my phone and online for this number!

I have gotten several calls from this number stating that it is my U.S airways dividends card and then when I do not give my last 4 of my social it sends me to an associate "trixie" from the Asia who says it is a debt collection. She then asks all types of personal information, social security number, mothers maiden name.  She often says you "do not feel comfortable giving this information" and then reroutes the questions to try to get it out of me.  And then... when I get irritated she quickly hangs up.  The key is the rapid response to "customer service".  If anyone asks for personal information particularly your social you can guarantee it is a scam; unless it is a federal agency or of course the phone company; they always ask you.

I keep getting calls from this number and when I call back they immediately want the last 4 of my SSN- When I try to speak to a representative I can seem to get any one.  - They instruct me to identify myself by pressing #1 and if I am not the person press #2 - so after I pressed option #2- they asked if I need time to actually go get the person.
    Huge scam!!!

The caller does not immediately identify themselves, only as Customer Services, and asks how they may help me and that they need my account number.  Since I didn't know who was calling(I have several credit accounts) and was reluctant to give any account number over the phone they became aggressive asking for my SS# which I definitely would not give to the caller over the phone.  This is when the caller identified himself as a representative of Barclay Bank, although despite the fact that they called me, the representative claimed that without my account or SS number they could not help me.  My account for Barclay is paid through my bank so despite whether a delivery date is off by a day or two which is the case over a weekend or holiday, the payment has been arranged!  Why is a representative calling who doesn't even know who they are calling or for what reason, especially in this day and age, asking for personal information over the phone.  I find it interesting that they never use my email address to send their concerns...they send billing via email and they send e-billing directly to my bank as well...so I am certain they know when a payment has been scheduled and by experience when that payment will be delivered electronically from my bank. Barclay's outrageous finance charges must help pay for the operators/representatives that call incessantly...though without reason...so inefficient. This experience has cured this Barclay credit user!

I have received multiple calls from this line. They claimed to be customer service for my USAirways MasterCard.  I do have a card like that but when they asked for personal information to verify who I was I hung up on them.  I today had a chat with USAirways because they called to let me know that my card informaiton had been stolen and people attempted to use the card to purchase hundreds of dollars of items at a Safeway in Arizona (I live in D.C.).  I asked if they had tried to phone me earlier and the answer was NO.  So BEWARE!  I suspect these people were using my card information to try and get more info on me to steal my identity and set up other credit cards in my name.

I received a voicemail from this phone number.  After viewing all of these comments, and seeing that Barclays Bank is one that has been identified, I logged into my Barclays account and discovered that my payment was due last week!  I'm never late - so I'll be working to figure out how this happened - but I assume this is why I received the call.  I'm actually glad they called me!
