NUANCE makes Dragon Speech Recognition Software

Nuance is a software developer.  I have a piece of their software called "Dragon Naturally Speak" which is a very useful voice activated software for dictation.

I do not know why they call.

Nuance also markets the popular software - Dragon reputedly the best software available for dictating into your computer and having it turned into text.

Got a call from 8667716288. Attempted to answer it and the party on the other end of the line simply hung up.

Got Recorder Message Call from This Number. WHat is IT?. WHo is IT? WHat Order?

Got a hangup call from Nuance (of Dragon Naturally Speaking software). I am a customer of theirs, so I will add myself to their do not call list.

Nuance is the creator of a computer program called "Dragon Naturally Speaking", a voice to text software. They have come out with a new version of their software. I've received several (more than are just annoying) phone calls from them all of which were hang ups when answered and at least one e-mail per day (again, more than just a little annoying). They must be on a sales kick or something. The more they annoy me, the more I will NOT BUY they product, thats for sure.

Called - no one there

I have been getting these calls daily for the past 8 months. Usually when we see the number pop up on the tv caller ID I holler to the family not to answer it.
Thanks to this thread and finding out that it was Nuance with their call back number listed(thanks swuzy) 1-800-654-1187 option 3. And don't give them any extra information, she tried but I said no. They should be able to look you up just by your phone number!
Hubby did purchase the Dragon software but they still have no right to be calling daily with no one at the other end.
I think their name should be changed to "Nuisance"!

The reason you are getting the calls and emails and because of the person that registered the software registered your name, phone number, and email address!!!

This is definitely the Nuance software company. I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking (voice recognition/dictation software) from them. Despite at least two times when I've spoken with calling sales staff and told them I wasn't interested in upgrading my software, I'm receiving daily calls. As suggested below, I called Nuance's customer service line (8006541187) and requested that my name be placed on their do-not-call list. The representative was very polite and didn't try to dissuade me so it was painless. Now let's see if it works.

Call is from Nuance who are quickly becoming a Nuisance.  Trying to get you to upgrade Naturally Speaking.

I thought I had cleared off all the callers, especially after all the pre-election calls this year :-p

No message, let's phone ring 3 times, then hangs up before my voicemail picks up.

This is Nuance and my repeated calls to be taken off their call list from the 800 number in several of the other entries here did work - for a while.  My boss does have the Dragon software, but that still does not negate the fact that this is a nuisance to take the time to answer there calls and then they hang up.  Please do us all a favor and use the EMAIL address that any purchasers sent to you to contact your clientele.  All of us would really appreciate it if you get right to whom you want to speak and value our time too!

Caller ID shows "new once" not Nuance so someone is playing games, they didn't leave a message but as I am late on a number of credit cards I have no doubts it is a collection group.

I did business with Naunce purchasing a product called  Dragon Naturally Speaking. I have received many calls from this number and have repeatedly asked them to cease calling me as I no longer wish to do business with them.  We have stopped answering our phone whenever we see the number displayed but they continue to call.

Nuance   should be renamed Nuisance!

Horrible Company, complete lack of customer service, and good luck with activating a product.

Will report them to the Federal trade Commission.
