This number is legit.  I just checked it with someone in Billing at Verizon. It is an automated number, and if you are somehow in their system, it will be reacting to that only, without being aware of anything else that is going on with your situation, such as disputes or claims.  It was described to me as an automated courtesy call, alerting you to the fact that a problem needs to be addressed, lest it go to Collections.

Same phishing scam from Verizon about a final bill.

I received numerous calls from this number (1 866 803 4839) about unpaid bill. They started a week ago and they are so annoying! I've never been a Verizon customer! I tried to verify the number through Verizon chat service - they said they did not know it and that I should call another Verizon service at 800-837-4966. I called the number and could not get to a person (since I don't have Verizon account). Then I called the 'scam' number (via Skype) and they sounded the same! I am reporting this to FTC.

They leave msg I have an over due bill.  I do not.

Scam, all the time scams. And they are making money. This is out of line, vultures everywhere robbing and stealing with no consequence.....where does it end?

I dont even have Verizon and keep getting this damn call.

Thank you for taking the time to report your issue with this number.  I too received a call.  they said Hello and then nothing.  Moments later I received a call from another number that was readily identified as a phishing attempt.  I have blocked both numbers.

So we are in 2018 and it seems like this number has been harrassing people over a decade ago... I'm on hold with verizon as we speak to see what they will do to put a stop to this phishing number.

10 calls a day to my cell phone. When pick up, no answer. I blocked. Disconnected a service, returned equipment. No official communication by email or mail.

Now realize it’s a scam, why doesn’t a Hugh company like Verizon with all their equipment step on these people ?

Harassment calls from unknown caller pretended to be Verizon

SCAM call saying my Verizon bill is overdue.  Checked my Verizon FiOS account, last month's bill paid 3 weeks ago, balance $0.00.  Next bill not issued until tomorrow.  Do not have Verizon cell phone service.  Checked my mother-in-law's account, bill not due for another 2 weeks.

This is definitely NOT Verizon!
