For months, I have been receiving a pre-recored called asking me to return the call to 866-808-7286.  I have tried to call numerous times to insist that my phone number be removed from their call list. I was told it was in reference to a person I knew over 15 years ago.  I had no information to provide or "reference" and said I would not comment futher. I insisted to be removed from their call list.  And yet,the calls still come every weekend.

I also am receiving phone calls, so far, they will not tell me what it is about, so I have filed a complaint with Federal Trade Commission, I will file with my state Attorney General, and let him track them down. I will on Weds go to the local FBI office, and file a criminal harassment complaint, they are using the Federal Wire Act in an illegal manner. They are also in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and another credit act. They are in violation of the Fedeal No-Call list, and the Colorado No-Call list. They are in the USA, despite their filing their website off shore. I will also file a harassment complaint with Qwest Communications, and request they set up a free call machine, which kicks out a phone call ticket everytime they call, then you got them by the short hairs. Also, if they retaliate, as I have seen posters state, you will get each and every harassing phone call documented, for criminal action by federal authorities. They are counting on your not knowing what to do, there are agencies that will track them down to the ends of the earth, if there is prosecutatorial evidence. Do it right.... Give them all the trouble, contact your local police dept, request the location of your local FBI office, every large city has one. File complaints with Federal Trade Commission, they will assemble the evidence, and the United States Dept of Justice will pursue them.

THEY DO A LOT OF THE THINGS THEY DO FOR THEIR SAFETY. THERE ARE A LOT OF CRAZY PEOPLE OUT THERE. ESPECIALLY THE PROFESSIONAL DEBTORS. PROBABLY HALF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LEFT MESSAGES ON THIS SITE REALLY OWE MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.
THINK ABOUT LIKE THIS; IF YOU LOANED SOMEBODY 5000.00, WOULDN'T YOU EXPECT THEM TO PAY YOU BACK. THAT IS WHAT I WOULD THINK THE GOVERNMENT THINKS. THEY WANT THEIR MONEY BACK.
GIVE THESE PEOPLE FROM THIS NUMBER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, HELP THEM GET THE GOVERNMENT'S MONEY BACK. EVENTUALLY IT WILL END UP COSTING YOU IF THEY DON'T.

They called my mother's house (a 73 year old woman who didn't even GO to college!) about a student loan.  Ralph, not everyone is a deadbeat.  The messages sound very threatening.  I don't know how people like this get away with frightening old women.  I plan to file a complaint with the FTC.

I work for a collection agency and it's deadbeats like you who give me job security!  By the way a word of advise if you want your number taken out of a system you need to leave your phone number on voicemail so we can look it up.  If you call and cuss us out we just pass it around the office and laugh our [***] off.  Also pay your bills and we won't call anymore!!!!  Simple isn't it, gee i wish you deadbeats would think of that!!!

Maybe if the people who are complaining would call them back and get it straighten out then they would not get the phone calls anymore.

Susan, Lonica, Janice,...AKA Premiere credit employee/s. You don't listen do you. These people do not have the debt to begin with!!!! I am sure this company has scammed many a good person, but you can't fool everyone all the time!!!

I got the call about my sister and a "loan" she applied for...and listed me a reference...lol This is so funny, as if we don't talk, as if she would not call me and tell me about this before hand. What I should have done was start spewing off all kinds of of false info, and then let them go chasing their tails...lol
Bottom line whether you have a debt or not, DO NOT GIVE OUT ANYONES personal info, including your own, over the phone to complete strangers. In this day and age it is just stupid. Tell whomever is calling that you do not do this kind of business over the phone. That they should send you FULL DETAILS in the mail, and then you can follow through with the "original creditors" to solve the debt if indeed there is one!

Premiere Credit of North America, LLC called me on my cell phone and I still don't know how they obtained my cell number, which is registered on the do not call list. Their representative told me she was from the US Department of Education and that my student loan was in serious default and had been turned over to them for collection. The rep went on to say that they could work out a payment plan for me and would reduce the interest owed by $3,000 if I made payments on time.  At this point there were two lies being told to me by Premiere Credit of North America, LLC, but this was a very stressful call and created a lot more anxiety.  I didn't think I was in default with Sallie Mae but, due to the threatening nature of the call, I signed the forms Premiere Credit emailed to me and faxed them back as I was told by the Premiere Credit rep that it was urgent that I take care of this immediately.

When I did check with Sallie Mae, I was not in default at all so Premiere Credit lied about this. Premiere Credit also lied when they said there would be a reduction of $3,000 in student loan interest payments.  When I received the paperwork from Premiere with additional forms to sign, Premiere had actually added on another $3,000 in interest payments to the loan, raising the total amount owed to Sallie Mae to over $14,xxx.  This was just another lie on the part of Premiere Credit.  I did not sign any more forms and told several Premiere Credit reps that they had lied about my being in default with Sallie Mae and that I wasn't going to pay Premiere Credit any more monies as I was making payments directly to Sallie Mae and would continue doing so. The harrassing phone calls and letters from Premiere Credit of North America, LLC keep coming in. A threatening letter I received a few days ago has my name and address but someone else's social security number, so Premiere Credit is publishing another consumer's social security number with my name, which must be in violation of someone's prvacy rights. An attorney friend has advised me to sue Premiere Credit of North America, LLC. I don't understand how the company can get away with such blatant lying to consumers, and then threatening and harrassing them.

I work at a collection agency.  I thought I'd try to offer some advice...
First, we are not evil people, we are doing our jobs.
We do not try to scam and rip people off.  Businesses lose money because people who owe debts don't pay them.  People who take out loans and operate on credit often have to list alternate people that can be contacted, so be angry at the ones who give your number out, not the ones who call.
Lastly, you'd be hard-pressed to find an agency that operates outside the law because collections is VERY heavily regulated and much of the things we do are completely within ours and our clients' rights. If you're being called and you don't like it, then be civil and polite, yelling and screaming and threatening us isn't very effective--we're people and we don't respond well to it, just like you all

First of all I have not received a call from this number but have had experience with premier credit and many other credit collection agencies in the past.  For all you collectors that posted above calling people "deadbeats" is unprofessional and could be considered harrasment and illeagal collection practice.  Calling people "deadbeats" or any other vulgar or disrespectable words also reflects on your company and its professionalism and integrity not to mention you could be held liable in court should one of the people you are calling and using profane language file against your company.  Collectors such as yourself prey on the ignorant and weak will population in hopes that they are not educated in collection proceadures and your methods of collecting.  Yes is is true we are all human and if collectors get yelld at they do have emotions and feelings, the difference is you the collector are a professional individual representing a company and need to remain perfessional at all times even if you are being yelled at.  When you the collector loses your cool and begin to threaten and use language you are no better than the person you are calling a "deadbeat" not to mention it could be illegal.  Now you may say oh this is just another deadbeat posting a deadbeat response. For your information and surprise yes I do have student loans that are in default for reasons beyond my control. But I am the one that called my educational loans in the first place and they gave me your number and I called you first and made arrangements to pay. I pay my loans now and I am not one of your so called "deadbeats" but to your surprise mr collector I will share with all the ways to avoid you and be a professional at evasiveness.  You play dirt with us and disrespect us and call us names such as "deadbeats" and I will help and aid the poor and less fortunate be free of you until they are ready and capable to pay.

First of all to everyone it dose not matter if you are on a federal do not call list!!!!  the collector has his ways to find you, illegal or not!!  They know people are uneducated and to start a class action law suit it takes a willing attorney and alot of people and money. to all others lawsuits are expensive and most attorneys wont even look your way unless you have a retainer or money down. If you cant pay your bill then you probably cant hire an attorny.  Collectors use federal do not call lists illegally or not and will call you.  to escape collectors you must become a ghost!!  Do not put your name and number on anything!! do not register for the federal do not call list, do not give out your relative or friends numbers to any agency!! do not sign up for giveaways, raffels or internet propaganda. Do not sign up at the mall for the car givaway or whatever they are giving away. unfortunately you cannot sign up to vote either.  they do find you by voter registration!!! Do not sign up for a p.o. box or change of address! you basically need to change your number and if capable move to another residency.  if you need electricity or phone talk with a relative to help you out, they can sign up for a phone or utilites and you just have to pay.  Do not give out your families numbers!!!! unfortunately you have to go through this to avoid the collector as they will get your info the moment you give it out.  Companies, givaways, ect will solicit your info!!!!!  do not fall for this!!! Unfortunately you have to disappear and become a ghost until you are ready to pay your debt!!  after you are capable of paying you can continue with a normal life.  for those that are less fortunate or can never get out of that rump there is bankruptcy!! The moment you file bankruptcy they have to leave you alone and if they continue to call it will only benefit you as your attorney will sue the living daylights out of the creditor for violating the bankruptcy automatic stay and bankruptcy code!!  For you that owe student loans unfortunately bankruptcy will not erase it but they still cannot contact you during the bankruptcy stay or they will be in violation and could be subject to suit!!! Also you can participate in federal rehabilitation programs which after 9 months take your loans out of default and back into good standing. for those who owe taxes yes some taxes are dismissed and those are any taxes older than 3 years!! do not let them fool you!!! other stuff that is dismissed in bankruptcy include PAYDAY LOANS! Every debt is dismissable except for student loans and taxes that are new!!!!!!  Here is some other good info i found on another site

Your first act, is type up a Cease and Desist letter, and mail it to their street address. Send it CERTIFIED MAIL, this creates a valid, enforceable legal notice, that you demanded that they CEASE AND DESIST, from bothering you with the nuisance and collection calls. It does not matter whether or not, you are totally guilty or totally innocent, it is ILLEGAL to use such means as a collection tool. What they are doing is called "skip tracing", they are trying to find the debtor person, by bother you, and you should not cooperate with such illegal efforts:

Premiere Credit Of North America LLC
    1314 N Post Rd
    Indianapolis, IN 46219

That is their actual business location address. Do not send any notices to their Post Office Box, send it to that address. Send it certified, with a return receipt to yourself, so you know it was delivered, and you know who signed for the certified letter.

Then after you have mailed the letter, EVERY time you receive the recorded phone call, after the recorded message has ended, punch in a "*57", into your phone, and it will kick out a annoyance phone call ticket to your telephone provider. The telephone company, must have a *57, in order to take your complaint, and this does not give you the number of the incoming call. You can do a *69, to find out their number, but it does not kick out the ticket to the telephone company. You must do a MINIMUM of three of the *57 calls, then they contact Premiere Credit, and tell the to stop the phone calls.

The tickets are then given to law enforcement, for an investigation. Make sure you contact your local telephone company, tell them you want the Annoyance Phone Number, it will ask you if you used *57, say yes and enter that section, they will take your entire annoyance phone call information, and assign it to a investigation complaint. Also take your certified letter, and receipt, to your local law enforcement people, such as police, sheriff, and give them copies, and request they open and give you a case number. This is important!

Now, you have started the procedure, they must comply, or they will be in real trouble. Most of the time, they do not comply, that takes it into the lawsuit phase. You send copies of your certified letter, etc., to the law firm, along with the annoyance phone company, plus the case number from law enforcement, and they will assemble the class action lawsuit, and then proceed with it, with the people they have in the class action. The people in it, divide up the results from the lawsuit, so it can be big money...

The class action pays the attorneys their legal fees, plus they also get into the lawsuit proceeds, for some extra payment. Class action lawsuits are profitable for all parties involved, and best of all, you are "breaking Premiere Credit of the bad habit"!

Good luck to all!!  and for the collector, just for your info I PAY MY BILLS!!! But I also will help the less fortunate until they are ready to do so aswell.

    I bid you good day!!

Also I forgot to mention people that are in garnishment and in pending law suits, bankruptcy automaticall stops garnishment and stops law suits in their track no matter what stage they are in!!! even judgments against you are wiped out!!!! They will argue with you that this is not true but it is!! Trust me I know many who have gone through bankruptcy and have been witness!!!  DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU!!!!  Contact an attorney!!  They will try and scare you with Jail and all sorts of horrible things they cannot do anything to you and its illegal to threaten you in the first place!!!!  Good luck to all!!!

One more advice do not let these people scare you with you will not be able to get credit for 10 years.  Yes bankruptcy dose go on your credit for years but the next day after your bankruptcy is discharged you can get credit!!!!! I am witness to it!!! Especially vehicles!!! I have seen people leave bankruptcy and the next day they have a new car!!!! You can get a house on FHA after 2 years!!!!  Do not let them lie to you, you will see many ads against bankruptcy, these are creditors trying to steer you away because they know after you file they are completely out of luck and there is nothing that they can ever do to you again!!!!! Contact an attorny today and you will see that I am telling you the truth and you will be so much happier!!!!

    Real American with Real Problems
To the angry poster that left the above message to "DEADBEATS", I will pray for you that you are never in a situation beyond your control. That you and your loved ones are never seriously ill, never lose a job, never are a victim of a crime, or a natural disaster, and that you can live out your sad little life feeling superior to everyone that has less than you do. When you get to heaven (as all people that pay their bills on time do) you can answer to God about you tendency to judge others, to cast the first stone, and your lack compassion for your fellow human beings. Yes, there are those that take advantage of the system, but there are many, many more people that responsibly try to solve their problems as quickly as they can. Wouldn't it be great if the system was set up to help debtors succeed in meeting their obligations rather than set up to rape and pillage the least fortunate members of society, making all of their problems worse unitl bankruptcy seems like the only option? President Abraham Lincoln was at one time part of a failed store. He spent years paying back all of his creditors. What do you think would have happened if he had been hit with constant penalties, late fees, over-the-limit fees, collection fees and lawsuits? Maybe you should try to channel your abundant energy to something more positive than berating people in debt, and maybe you can make the world a better place for having known you! Good Luck.

your all idiots.. the government doesnt use collection , they take your taxes.i know because i have been thruogh it. if you owe  a company  or a lender money,..they sell the account of their own choice, if they dont have their own collection department of their own. its their choice to do so. regardless, we dont have to deal with collection agencies , their scare tactics and games or their harrassment. whether you owe the money or not.the point  is; collection agencies cant do [***] to you,...only a lawyer  or the governmet, state or federal can. as far as deadbeats  are concerned..not all people just refuse to pay and abuse the system,..life happens, and sometimes you find yourself in a bad situation that isnt your fault...get off your judgemental pedastal and live your own life.
