- markcollector...get a real job that requires some intelligence, anyone can call and harrass people over the phone and with letters, and yes; their are deadbeats and so on out there; but it isnt your place to decide who is what..get a real job that requires some kind of real work effort...do you even know what real work is? ...what a lame job...lol, please..
- aka ritaMy dad got a call from some man named Chad Fox. He told my dad that I had applied for a job and he wanted to know where I worked and how many jobs have I had.(if I had applied for a job my phone number and my work history would have been included on the application/resume. DUHHH!)I dont know how he got my dad information and why would he call my dad telling him I applied for a job when we live 1800 mile away. This person was not a very good liar and dumb.A dumb liar.He left this number for me to call back.
- SandyThey called and said it was a debt with the Dept. of Education. When I called them back, somebody named Steve chastised me because I didn't get a "reference number" from the call and refused to believe me when I said there was no reference number given. Steve was pretty rude. I intend to file a complaint.
- JNMI just made a formal online complaint to the FCC regarding these lowlifes. They call me at least 3 times per week for the last several months, and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
- KeicoWell here is my two cents. Sometime ago I got one of those students loans to go to automotive school. Not realizing that after I graduated work would not be easy to find. Needless to say I could not find a job related to the school I just graduated from. My loan went to default, and it has followed me to this day. Being that this is a federally granted loan, it does not go away. After suffering a back injury finding work has been even harder. I am now on disability and do the best I can to keep my bills paid. I received 4 letters in the mail regarding this loan from Premiere Credit of North America, LLC
I decided to call because money is taken from disability to help pay towards this loan. Now at first I was very sceptical and figured this was another scam, but it turns out that this company is legit and authorized to collect this money on behalf of where my loan originated. Anyway to make a long story short they came up with great plan so i can finally get this loan of my back. I am so happy for this. They were not rude nor did they call me constantly. I know it can be hard to pay back these loans. Honestly I blame these schools that convince people to get these loans, go to the school, then promise they can help you find a job. I fell for it and realized to late. The real scumbags are the schools not the credit collection agencies. They are just doing their jobs. Now I definately agree that some people that work at these agencies can be rude and obnoxious, however don't take it personally. Remember it takes two to argue and you can always hang up the phone when they get rude. - tessSome individual may owe money to a company that has turned their accounts over to Premier Credit of North America. Others may be receiving calls from this company because they were used as references in the loan process of the original company. Others may simply have the misfortune of having acquired a number that was once the debtors or one of the references of the debtor or someone with Premier may have miskeyed (such as transposing numbers) the phone number in their automated recorded call system (which, I believe should be outlawed, but I digress). Bottom line is under the Fair Debt Collections Act, the debtor by that law does not have to deal with collections agencies and can ask the collection agency to stop calling and by certified mailing notified the collection agency of this fact therefore forcing the account back to the original debtor. Also, everyone who is receiving these harassing calls from the Premier should file an complaint with FTC, their State Attorney General and also the State Attorney General that Premier is which is Indiana. Folk's it is illegal to harass, coerce, intimidate, discuss another person's debt with a third party. It is not illegal to be in debt or deliquent on a debt. Owing money may be the result of circumstances, such as medical, layoffs, divorce or it could be bad judgement, but it is not illegal and it doesn't justify treating the individual or those associated with the individual poorly, nor does it justify the existance of harassment, coerician or intimidation tactics that company like these use. So right your State and US representatives asking that they put more protections for consumers in place to prevent the existance of companies such as these, file complaints with the FTC (ftc.gov) everytime you get calls from these companies and file complaints with the State Attorney Generals. Doing this will end the calls. I also recommend you checking online to see if any class action lawsuits have been filed against Premier or any other companies like them that are calling and see if you are eligible to join that lawsuit. Best of luck.
- dooperI got a call form this same number today. "Chad" left a message saying that he needed to verify a job application for a friend or family member. When I called back I was asked to verify my phone number, which I did, then asked information about "George Warr", whom I'd never heard of. "Chad" didn't seem very surprised when I said that I'd never heard of the individual, and promptly ended the call.
The whole thing was pretty weird to me. Doing a little background info on the number, they're actually Premier Credit and were phishing for some personal info. From what I gathered, Premier cold calls phone numbers that they get from defaulted loans, outstanding debt hits, etc. then goes to the companies that supplied that number as a "hit" and verify that they've made phone contact with the person in question. Premier then takes the bid on that collection account and then tries to pursue collection. They're in a grey area, skirting the laws just enough to where they aren't out and out doing anything illegal, but still open themselves up to lawsuit. They're out and out liars who specialize in harassment and intimidation regarding long-forgotten loans and debt.
Don't bother picking up the phone or responding to a message.- Caller: Premier Credit

- employerDwight from 866-808-7286 called and left a message on my voice mail asking to verify employment and provided me with a reference number. I returned the call and spoke to a woman who asked if I could verify employment if she provided only a Social Security number. I told her that I would need a name and a signed release. She seemed confused by this request and, after providing her with our company fax number, she said she would see what she could do.
- COLLECTORIt's funny that all of you think the collection calls are illegal and that filing a suit is going to do anything for you. We know the FDCPA laws and do abide by them Mabey you should actually read the FDCPA and know the laws and the tactics that we use are legal!!!!! We are calling with every intention to help get the loan out of default and removed from their credit report which we can do It's when dumb [***] act like they don't have to pay cause they didn't finish school or don't have the type of job they went to school for or whatever lame reason they have I guess you like your wages garnished taxes seized and yes social security checks garnished It's a government loan you signed for and yes you will pay one way or another.... we do take into consideration everyone has different circumstances and we do work with people Just set up payments we will work with you get it out of default and off your credit report
- K.I was out of the house two days, & had 3 or 4 calls from these 866-808-7286 asking to verify info since I'd been given as a reference from a family or friend to them...LIARS. I owe for an educational loan which I was paying back monthly until a severe wreck in 1996. I was both head injured and crippled. I was initially comatose in the hospital for three months during which time 7 surgeries were preforned to basically save my life. My legs were crushed, and I have continued to have surgeries almost yearly on my legs. Doctors said I would not ever walk, but now use a cane with pretty constant pain, so my mobility is restricted.I also live with diminished mental capacity, poor short term memory, concentration, severe depression and anxiety probelems characterized by frustration, anger easily, and emotionally lability to name but a few.
I have repeatedly told thses people, from various collection agencies my story, but either they don't believe me or just pass it on to the next willing person. They harrass me even though they garnish my social security disability check every month by taking arounf $100 of my less than $800. It's a sad situation. I'm sure this is done to many people who don't deserve it. Do not know what else to do to get something done. . - skinny_billCOLLECTOR - 30 Apr 2009

Learn how to spell, low life double digit IQ collector!- Caller: Premiere Credit
- skinny_billThese jerks from Premiere Credit enjoy harassing and annoying people. Make no mistake, folks, that is what they do .... and what they intend to do. I believe it's time to respond to these creeps ... AT THEIR HOMES!
I am in the process of verifying addresses, email accounts, and phone numbers for David Hoeft, Todd Wolfe, Eric Wolfe, Todd Hartmann, Don Conway and any other Premiere Credit creeps I can.
dhoeft@premierecredit.com, twolfe@premierecredit.com, ewolfe@premierecredit.com, thartmann@premierecredit.com, dconway@premierecredit.com
Once this information is posted, I would hope anyone who is being illegally harassed by this outfit, contacts the principals in the same manner they are being contacted ... AT HOME & AT WORK .... OVER & OVER & OVER AGAIN.
Folks, if you know the names of the Premier scum who are harassing & annoying you ... post their names, check them out in the Boone or Marion County Tax Assessor's Office for their residence, get their personal phone numbers .... and do some tit for tat! ... Oh, and post that info on these boards.
Stay tuned ...- Caller: Premiere Credit
- skinny_billOne more thing about the Premiere Credit a$$wipes ...
They are deliberately harassing people on social security with no means to pay back old student loans. They will call 5 - 6 times a night ... let the phone ring once, or twice, then hang up. Happens ALL the time.
If that is not the definition of harassment via phone calls, what is???
As I said earlier ... get the names, home addresses, and personal phone numbers of the Premiere Credit vermin who are harassing you and do a bit of "tit for tat". It won't do anything about your debt status, BUT some of these low life collectors will get some of their own medicine.
Bear in mind, there are many more multiples of us then them .... and, we know they are from the Indianapolis area. Do a bit of homework ... it's easy. Information is available from local tax assessor websites, reverse directory phone search engines, etc ....- Caller: Premiere Credit
- Skinny_Bill"collector...get a real job that requires some intelligence"
He can't. He is what he is .... dumb. Now, someone please tell me .... who aspires to be a bill collector?
Like the fools that own Premiere Credit ... they came out of college, and the best they could do was get jobs as bill collectors. Lucky one of the sissies had a faghag mother in law who invested in the company for the sissies.- Caller: Premiere Credit

---------------------------
Spoofing caller ID's to hide your real identity, and calling 8 - 10 times a day to annoy a person is generally considered harassment, and abuse. ... IN FACT, dim one, the FDCPA considers those activities to be just that!
Just need more people to take the initiative to log your calls, and make formal complaints.- Caller: Premiere Credit
- I'm Soooo BusyNow, where did all the double digit IQ "collectors" run off to???
Spoofing a phone number, and calling someone 8 - 10 times a day is harassment & abuse according to the FDCPA. These dumb A$$wipes know it, and are beginning to be caught up in a tsunami of lawsuits.
Don't worry, people with old student loan "issues", ... you can bet there will be an O'Bama bailout for you in the very near future. Exactly what it will look like is unknown ... but, it's on the horizon as is a real updating of the FDCPA.
These low IQ staffed, hyper aggressive debt collection agencies are about to be neutered.- Caller: Premiere Credit

K,
You need to send the A$$wipes one of those "stop calling letters" certified mail, return receipt requested.

If they continue to call you have a basis for a legal claim. There are a lot of lawyers around who specialize in this, and will take your case for the legal fees they will be awarded.
In fact, it sounds like you could do a whole lot more to these scumbags than the fine & legal costs they would have to pay. I believe a good lawyer could get you some serious money. There are many, many big judgements beginning to be awarded to people, like you, who are being illegally harassed by these cretins.
Folks ... Think about it. What kind of an outfit, and what kind of low IQ collector, would continue to harass someone living on a small ($800/month) SSI payment for a serious disability .... WHEN they are already garnishing the person's SSI payment??? Answer, please ....
Make no mistake ... you are dealing with the scum of the earth, when dealing with these debt collectors. You have, for the most part, low paid, low level morons, working on a commission. They are trying to "hit the lottery" with each call.- Caller: Premiere Credit
- I'm Soooo BusyRecently, I have had several people and clients call me regarding outrageous debt collection tactics. It doesn't matter whether or not the collection agency or collector has reached the correct person or people, it's in their make up to employ the bully pulpit and blame innocent consumers into paying debts they never owed in the first place.
Not all, but some rogue debt collectors use Spoof Telephone Calling Cards. A spoof card is a calling card that you purchase, and program into a cell phone or regular telephone, insert a fake name and telephone number. This has been used by law enforcement agencies for years to catch criminals, serve warrants, or locate fugitives. However, they can be purchased from certain Internet websites for as little as $25.00 to $60.00.
Please keep in mind, it is against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for a debt collector or collection agency to display false information (letters, telephone caller ID) to a consumer they are attempting to collect a debt.
Remember, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, collectors are bound, by law, to advise consumers they have the right to dispute all or part of the alleged debt, in writing, within 30 days of the phone call or letter. If the consumers fails to dispute the validity of the debt within 30 days, the collector can assume the debt is legitimate and valid.
However, once the collector has been notified (in writing) they have contacted the wrong person or party or that the consumer denies owing the debt, the collector is to provide valid proof of the debt to the consumer. If the collector is unable to provide verification and proof of the debt, collection agencies, collection lawyers and law firms are required by law to cease and remove any negative trade lines reported on a consumer credit file. Some collectors, however, ignore the law designed to protect consumers. This is especially true when you are dealing with bad debt buyers, or as I refer to them as scavengers. Your chances of getting a collector off your back improves when you know your legal rights and assert them forcefully! Remember, an educated consumer will never let anyone push them around.
If you are contacted about a debt that you do not owe:
1. Know your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. To download, please log on to: www.ftc.gov.
2. Get the name, address, telephone and fax numbers of the collector. You can tell the collector on the phone to stop calling you, but that does not preserve your rights under federal and/or state law.
3. Send a Cease and Desist letter by certified mail - return receipt requested. Make it clear to the collector they have contacted the wrong person or party, you do not owe the debt, you do not know the whereabouts of the party they are attempting to contact and you do not want any further contact with the collector.
4. Contact a consumer rights advocate or appropriate agencies or regulators. If the collector continues to call or write letters to you, seek help immediately!
5. Monitor all three credit reports (Trans Union, Experian & Equifax). If a collector causes false, misleading or bogus debt on your credit files, dispute the item immediately with each credit reporting agency. Include copies of the certified letter, along with the front and back of the green, return post card you sent to the collector and any complaints you have filed. Don't wait until you are about to apply for a loan to check your credit report; you will need to do this at least three months before applying for a loan, mortgage, car loan, credit card, etc.
6. Keep perfect records of all telephone calls, letters, your responses to the collector. Ask your cell phone company for a detailed billing statement (incoming and outgoing calls). Make a permanent record of all calls left on an answering machine or voice mail from the collector.
7. Consider a lawsuit against collectors that actively violate your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This can be on your own behalf or as part of a class-action lawsuit.- Caller: Premiere Credit
