Premier Credit - looking for debt collection....I don't have any debt.

Called from : 518-282-4128, but left the 866-808-7286 call back number.

I do not owe anyone any money and have never defaulted on a loan or have never been late for a loan payment. I did receive a letter from Premiere Credit of North America saying I owed over $40,000.  These people are not legitimate debt collectors, they are crooks. Anyone who says otherwise either works for Premier, or doesn't know what they are talking about.  I am pursueing legal action against these clowns.

The excact thing happened to me. The letter had a U.S. dept of education logo on the top. It was asking for my social sec and other info. $40k in loans and penelties! I have never even had a student loan before. Anybody defending these scam practices is working for the con-men themselvs. I ignored the letter and today I received a next day air UPS package with loan applications in it. My 13 yr old son says he keeps getting 3 or 4 866- calls on his track phone every day with some computer message on it and he hangs up. I an going to check to see if it is 866-808-7286.

Are you crazy,these people are the worst and will stop at nothing to get peoples personal info they even go as far as calling all over the country to try to look for u,and call strangers and people you don't know that live next door to you,giving them your information.

First off even if you are one of those so called collectors guess what, YOU DO MAKE MISTAKES ALL THE TIME, you call peoples homes about people who don't live there, you make threats and talk nasty even calling people names so don't sit here and act like everyone owes because not everyone owes, this agency,what they need to do is make more of an effort to verify the information they have to be sure they have the correct person.

This has to be the best answer given so far,don't do business over the phone or give out your personal info,make them mail you something.

Please stop telling these out right lies, I do understand not everyone is evil but, collections are not monitored that well at all, that’s why the FTC is trying to change the laws to better protect the consumer from predatory practices as well as harassing phone calls,you all tell lies at one time or another and you all tack on fees well about what is owed. The least you collection people could do if your going to identify yourselves as collectors is tell the truth on these forums, no matter what lies you tell or how you try to sugar coat it you are all the same.

WRONG WRONG WRONG, STOP GIVING WRONG INFO, folks it's not true that after 7 years school loans go away, FED SCHOOL LOANS DO NOT JUST GO AWAY, what happens is it ends up with collectors like these IDIOTS from premier credit collections, and if they don't happen to catch up with you someone will in the future, if they don't, when you start collecting Social Security they will garnish that,I don't happen to have this problem but know people that do.

Susan, you need to do some researching: These people are ripping off "already paid in full students" in the name of the government. So, before you go victimizing these already victims do your research. There's nothing more pitiful than an ignorant, all in the cool-aid and don't even know the flavor B....! My student loans were discharged years ago. So I honestly don't care what threats that your company makes.

This is a debt collection agency - there are two reasons you might have received a call from them (1) you have defaulted on a student loan or (2) somone gave them your phone number as a reference, so that if the company can't get a hold of that person, then they can call you and request that you pass on the message for that person to call Premier. They may not be authorzied to reveal information regarding the person who used you as a reference, so they may just confirm your name and if you know that person and to please have that person call the company.

Wow! these low life's that work for credit company probably make about $ 10 an hour!! they are uneducated loosers! if any of you [***] had enough brains to get into college in the first place you wouldn't be saying all these awful things. Psychology 101 [***] happens in life doesn't  matter who you are. If you haven't watched the news lately people are not paying college grads what they expected out of college and some times you still have to work two to three jobs to get caught up after college. it does not by any means makes someone a looser.. it makes someone trying to survive and live their life! you RUDE [***] should [***] off and try a more humanitarian job! probably make you sleep better at night cause all of you harassers are going to Hell!

This is incorrect information. If you get seriously behind on your student loan, this is indeed one of the places that you might be dealing with. True, they will keep your return, but it will be paid through whichever collection agency is in charge of your account. Call the Dept of Ed and there's a very good chance they'll give you Premier's number. :)

Legit Call - This is due to falling behind on your student loan. Be it your fault or unplanned circumstances, you do still need to pay your bill. Government student loans are one you can just ignore forever. Best wishes to those in financial need right now.
