- mr pissed offTHESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, THEY HANG UP WHEN I ASK HOW THEY GOT MY LAST FOUR OF MY CREDIT CARD... THEY CAL BETWEEN 8-10 TIMES A DAY DURING PEAK HOURS WASTING MY CELL PHONE MINS,, I WANT THIS TO STOP...
- Generic & pissed off!I don't have Chase but I have another bank under their umbrella. I just got called again. I asked for the telemarketer's direct number and then thanked him and hung up. Of course he gave me a disconnected number first in the area code of 813 which I think is fl and then 863 778 8603 (also disconnected). Not sure where that is.. but I agree some credit card company sold our information. To all that are reading. The company you want complain about is Fist Data Corp, owned by KKR in NYC. Which is a private company right now, but plans to go public OCT 1, 2009. Now I'm going to check out the Ripoffreport.com.

- Fighting back~American style.I called Walmart's legal department. They were unaware of this BRAND INFRINGMENT this telemarketing firm is doing to their company. A multi billion dollar legal department.. hmmm wish I was a fly on the wall for that law suit.
Today I filled a complaint with the FCC but yesterday one of their so she thought slick people cursed at me on the phone. Which changes the dynamic of their call from Telemarketing to harassment. I am now on the registered www.donotcall.gov list, as well as requested to set up with my local phone company a "TRAP" which traces their calls and prosecutes thru local law enforcement. I called the 609 number listed above, it just falls into a voice mail. I want every single employee of this company behind bars... if they are not already!
Federal Trade commission's number for (SCAMS) 877 382 4357. MY fellow complainers let's stand together and be heard. Last I did a look up on line it seems that their 800/866 number is listed in Culver city Calf 90230 (not sure how accurate). Next call the Attorney Generals office, CA. PS write down every thing these "telemarketers"say to you. Every word, phrase and harassment is greatly used against them in the investigation via the Federal Trade Commission.- Caller: UNKNOWN
- MADTHESE PEOPLE KEEP CALLING ALL DAY LONG AND HANGING UP, EVEN THOUGH MY NUMBER IS ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!. NOBODY EVER TALKS WHEN I ANSWER
- Fighting back American StyleMad~
You can still call the federal Trade commission.. At one point they did tell you why they were calling... Tell of this week. It will take time... but I think we are moving forward. The FCC said that it takes 30-60 days to be scrubbed out of the telemarketer's systems. Each violation they are fined $10,000. Write down every time they call/hang up on you the date, time and if anything was said. Include this information in you're report. When the FTC/FCC gets to investigate... all this will be front and center.- Caller: UNKNOWN
- FIGHTING BACK AMERICAN STYLEabove I meant to say I have told alot of people this week. I plan to give it the 60 days. If that does not work I plan to go to the local NEWS Station.

- tomthey call 2-3 times a day and no one ever answers ..... they hang up
- PThese people used to annoy me as well. Now I look forward to them calling every day. You can basically do anything short of making threats against them. It's fun to screw with their heads. Try using a foreign accent if you can and speak to them so they can't understand you. If you have the time, keep them on the phone for as long as you can (without agreeing to anything - just keep asking questions or just talking in general) so that they waste as much of their time on your phone call. See how many times you can get them to repeat themselves because you're "losing reception and you can't understand them". When they ask to speak to you, tell them you will get that person and be right back and see how long they stay on hold waiting for you to return (it's good if you can find elevator music on the internet and place your phone next to the speaker so they might think you actually placed them on hold). Flirt with them (even if they are the same sex - it's actually better if they are the same sex). See if they'll even give out their cell phone number as if you're interested in calling them up for a date cause they "sound cute". There are so many ways to screw with these people and get a kick out of it. Be creative.
- TKwilsoncontinuing to call and hang up. all hours of the day and night! blocked 3 other numbers from the same company....Platinum Rewards
- Caller: Platinum Rewards
- JimmyKeep calling sitting there and then hanging up
- JamesIt has been reported that there are groups that ask certain specific questions that they expect the answer to be "yes". Once they have that single word recorded they can then edit it into a 'taped' conversation they say they had with you where you agreed to buy something or authorize some sort of a debit against your account. The best thing is to not say that single word unless it is to someone whose identity you know and whom you have some measure of trust for. If you have ever gotten a call and answered the phone with "Yes?" and the caller then hangs up I would check the credit card activity VERY often or even call the bank and so that you lost it in order to get everything transferred to a new account.
One thing I did several years ago was het a device called a 'TeleZapper'. What it does is when the phone is answered (picking up or answering machine) it sends out a tone burst of a specific frequency that is recognized by most (not all) computer dialers as belonging to a fax machine. The software in the dialing system then thinks that it is calling a fax machine and not a phone, causing it to check off your number from the list. In the past three years my telemarketing calls has gone from 50+/month to just a couple.
There is also a device out on the market that allows you to control who gets thru on your phone.
1) You can enter the phone numbers of people that you want to be able to ring thru
2) You can enter the numbers of phones that you want to be blocked and they will get an appropriate message
3) All the rest are answered by a voice mail message
I am considering getting one of these because I am now getting many more calls from political and charitable groups. Unfortunately since it was the politicians that wrote the Do-Not-Call law they of course left themselves a loophole. - Tonya WilkinsNumber 1-866-875-8720---Call me 3 times a day. I answer the phone, they hang up. I do not know who they are. I will be reporting them.
- Randall MonteThey call me at work almost every day. I have told them many times I am not interested in their offer and please remove me from their list. They are still calling me.
- Cheryleann PerhamI am averaging a call a day now. Used to be 2-3 calls.
I get the faithful visa customer story also.
is there any way of blocking these calls? - chrisI just got off the phone with them. I told them i am not interested. The lady was a total B%##%. I told her she was. the num 609-788-7000 is no longer valid. Time to get my lawyer involved.
- PO'dI just called Chase, and they apparently have removed all of my info from all the 3rd Party companies they deal with.
We'll see if that actually works. I'm not optimistic. - PO'dYeah, so, got another call today. Less than 24 hours after I was told I'd get no more calls. Called Chase again, went straight to supervisor (asked to). Said once again I was being put on THEIR Do Not Call list (I'm already on the national one).
Same story, except this time I was told it would be 2 or 3 days before the system is changed. Really? Last time I checked, computers were able to update in .000000000004 seconds, give or take a micromillisecond. Total BS. - Ms BobOh yes the countless calls so I finally did this. I'd answer one call, find out the reason, & just hang up. I'm not rude but I acted accordingly. Then I took a minute to add it to my address book; so now I don’t have to wonder “why that # looks familiar” – or “is it a customer referred by my office.” This # is Spam22 on my phone & the custom ring tone is MUTE…because they’re just not to going to quit calling. But it was about Ins. By the way Spam 1-19 has quit calling (for now), but my address book has lotsa room. AND when I get ornery I forward one call to one of the others or to theirs. Yea I even took the time to add the 1 in front of the number so I could.
- rudzdoes the complaint to the fcc really work?
- Mad As hell!!!I can't believe these jerks. I filed the number with FCC today and called Chase to complaint. They call 10 to 20 times a day. I told them to stop calling me and they laughed at me and they hung up and called me right back againa and they laughed at me and hung up. I can't belive this kind of telemarketers are not punished.
