They called me, and did not leave a message. I called them back and they asked for my DOB and last 4 digits of SSN. They claimed to be the "welcome service" department. I declined to give info and he directed me to call the number on the back of the card. Conversation ended. Very suspicious.

It's obvious BoA shares our info with these scammers.  I too just got a new cc. Now I will be closing the account.

Just received a call from this number.  No message was left.  JUST received my Bank of America card...he/she doesn't waste any time....

I just received a call from this number. I don't have a BOA card, so to me that says they are trying to steal information from people.

Report the number to the FCC fraud department. If they reach a certain level of complaints they will investigate it.

This is not fraud. In the agreement sent with your credit card there are various area stating that 3rd party vendors associated with the credit card company, who is not bank of america, so to speak, may contact you. They are affiliated.  Bank of America manages your credit card account held by MC or Visa.  Typically these are also monitored and managed by outside companies. Since the CC was initiated by bank of america any customer contact is done under BOA, that doesn't actually mean it is a BOA crefit card customer service employee, but they are, allowed to represent themselves as such.
If you hold a card that has rewards of anykind. Part of that agreement is that you will continually receive 3rd party sales calls representing themselves either as BOA, or as the actual 3rd party.  It may suck but it's in the agreement. Additionally don't expect any of them to know what the other is doing.

Every credit card does. Read your agreement.  It's covered under the Fair Credit Lending act. If you want credit or any money, you have to pay for it.

I checked with BofA 7 minutes after then call and they said it was legitimate.  They even had the time of the call.  Dont know why people are saying this is a fraud call...

I got a call from this number,and she know my name， but I'm not good at english …I say I want mandarin…and I wait long time ,they use voice service with chiese say ur credit card no problem…I guess maybe they not real…

Maybe so but how did they get my # when I have NEVER had any type of dealings with BOA?...So yeah I'm chalking it up as fraud.

Caller said he was from BOA so I knew it was legit. Gave him all my personal info to verify it was me. He wanted to verify I got the right card # so I read it to him and he confirmed their records matched.  Was polite and thanked me for my business.

Received a call from this number also purporting to be B of A.  Did not provide any personal info. I did call the number on the back of my card and the B of A Alaska Airlines Credit card service Rep did confirm that it was NOT an official call from them but a phishing attempt to gain private info.

I got a call from this number. I called it back. First off eveytime BOA calls me they identify themselves as "card services " and it's always a female voice.  This call right away identified themselves as Bank of America.   When the woman got on the phone she asked for my name and ph#.  BOA usually confirms that.   I hung up and called the fraud dept.  The guy told me nobody from BOA called.

I got this call as well, and I call the number on the back of my card. They said this is their number.

These are fraudsters. Don't pick up.

It's not fraud. How can it be frau if the rep is asking you to call the number on the back of your card? It's just that the person who called you either work in a different department, or didn't make a note on your account about the call.

Just called BOA and it is NOT LEGIT. They said any comments saying that this is a legit number are scammers trying to support their scam. Just better off never giving info to ANYONE on an incoming call. Just hangup and call the number on your card.

Didn't answer but left voice mail and check voice mail and it stayed silent and google search the number and it states possible fraud..
