It's a fraud scam. Don't give out information. If the company called you they should have it.said it was a courtesy call. I told them to send me mail for offers.  Don't fall for identify theft scam.

Spoke with BOA and it is not their phone number and it is fraud.

it is a fraud.  pretend to be BOA but just try to fish info.  report it.

Missed a call from this number a week ago, no message left. They called back today, left no message. I called back to find out who it was, and was informed it was a courtesy call from Bank of America. Male with a southern accent told me he wanted to discuss some off the benefits of my new card. He knew exactly what kind of card I had without any information from me. After a few minute speech explaining how the cash back categories worked, he asked if I had any questions regarding my card, to which I replied no. He thanked me for my time, and we said goodbye. After the conversation, I became a little suspicious, although I had not given out any identifying information. I called the number on my card and ahead to speak with the card services fraud department. After providing them the number at which I received the calls, they were able to confirm that I was contacted by their "customer retention office" in Dallas, and that the number was in fact a bank number.

That's funny cause I just got the same call essentially and they asked for my email address and whether I do online banking. Told me how my card works and then told me to call the # on the back of my card if I had any questions. I called Bank of America and asked if it was actually them and a representative told me no, they don't have that number on file. I really hope for both our sakes he was wrong but luckily neither of us gave out information that can really be used to access our accounts.

Bank of america says that this is not one of their numbers. Call number on back of card and report number if this number calls you. Give them no information. Bank of america would text email or send a letter not call you about anything.

Fraud caller - Bank of America does not contact their customers by phone. Do not provide them any details of your personal information.

I got a call from this number many times, but never answered and they did not leave a voice mail so I looked it up. After reading from here it was a scam saying it was from BoA I contacted them and this number is not in any way related to BoA

Interesting.  The person I talked to wanted personal info.  I said no.  I doubt it was B of A.

I missed several calls from  this number this week. No voice mail was ever left, so I decided to call the number back.  I received a recording with a man voice saying thanks for calling Bank of America, please hold for a representative. I did not wait for someone to pick up. Instead I called the Bank of America number that I am familiar with.  The two Bank of America representatives that I spoke with, checked the number and then stated that the number is not a BOA number. The two representatives stated that I should not provide any information to anyone calling  from this number. This number apparently is someone Phishing, please be aware and cautious of scammers.

Got a call from this number from bank of America after 9pm very suspicious.

After reading these posts, I decided to contact BofA Directly with the number on the back of my CC.  They said nobody called me from BofA, and reminded me to never tell anyone my info unless I call BofA.

So while some of these posts say otherwise, I'd strongly recommend just calling BofA directly.

I just got the call, he asked for me by name and I told him that person had died.  That always messes up these callers and I thoroughly enjoy their stammering and fumbling for what to say next.  Sometimes I say he died at sea, or a plane crash.  I'm going to use Zirka virus on the next one and mention that it can be transmitted by telephone.

rep called from b of a said he wanted to tell me about my credit card rewards needed to verify it was my account needed my date of birth

I have received several calls from this number. They claim to be from Bank of America calling as a courtesy in regards to my card. Do not give them any information. I called BOA and reported the number. They said this number is not at all related to Bank of America and that they have not tried to reach me. When the scammers called me again, I told them BOA reported that their phone number is not related to them and the lady said "that's hilarious" and hung up.

Any chance you work with the people calling from 877-201-3564?

I got several calls but no message left on v/m.
when I called this number at 2AM, I got error "the call to this number cannot be completed at this time"
if it were legitimate you'd here "This is ....  Our office hours are..."

Definitely a fraudulent call. I got a call from this number last week, I didn't tell him any of my information. The very same night, somebody tried to charge $2,500 to my account. Seems like a fishy coincidence. May have technology to hack into your BoA app over the phone.
