It is a spoofed Caller ID.  National Recovery Associates is using National Rifle Association number in their spoofing.  

If you call the number you will get National Rifle Association but it is not SCAMMER who is ROBO calling you.

The National Rifle Association does not solicit calls.

This is the most believable comment written on this page. It is a "Spoof " of the national rifle association but, not really them. I don't answer them.

This call is indeed from the NRA. National Rifle Association. I called back and got a recording identifying themselves as such.

The fact no voice mail message is left kind of bothers me.

The CID said, not provided.  I usually don't answer these but gave it a shot seeing as how I was standing right next to the phone.  No one spoke to me so I hung up and  here I am making my comment.  Next time I won't answer and will let it go to voice mail which I doubt will have a message left on it.

It isnt THE NRA....and...they dont ask for money to "line their pockets" but to fight for your second amendment freedoms...educate yourself.

It is the National Recovery Agency (NRA) called about a subscription to New York Times that I cancelled from 2 yrs ago. They sent like 6 extra papers and want me to pay for. I'm sure it has cost them much more than the $14 they are trying to collect. By the way I called to cancel 4 weeks in a row still received paper. Now they are collecting on something they'll never get

Automated call comes in,  inserted mechanical voice with the name of party that supposedly owes the debt, not even me, and because voice mail is recognized as a response repeat calls at all hours.

Called left no message.  The "National Rifle" has also called me using numbers 855-238-3478, 866-275-8502, and 888-202-2385.  Will report todays call (as I do every spam call) to FTC.
