- Caller: BAD PEOPLE
- Call type: Telemarketer
- WillSaid they were going to be in my neighborhood, installing energy efficient windows and glass rooms. Also, asked when was last time I had my home painted. Funny, when you Google this number, it is supposed to be Chase Bank.
- Caller: Certified
- PissedI'm so TIRED of getting these calls. I know it's a SCAM because I have not requested any pin number or activation code. In the voice mail they left they leave a different number to call back to.
- Caller: Don't know
- KristenReceived a call stating they were from Certified Home Windows and said they would be in my neighborhood and would like to save me some money. They asked me numerous questions such as what year the house was, the siding and my energy bill. They wanted to know what time I would be home and asked about my husband also. This was the red flag for me. They also had my address incorrect. I did NOT give them any information.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DougI got 4 calls @ 4:38 in the morning. They identify themselves as Chase but they are not! My friend of 12 years works for Chase and I took my phone to the bank so he could see the # that called me. He checked the # and said it is NOT Chase Bank & that they wouldn't call @ that time of the morning.
- Caller: supposedly Chase
- BobbyjusDidn't answer

- JanGThe call was to my cell number. The voice message said they wanted to give me an access code for my Chase account, which I no longer have. Prior to the phone call, I received two text messages from 242-733 providing me with two different Chase Online Identification numbers. I was to use them within 30 minutes to access my account. When I called the phone number 877-242-7372, the customer service rep tried to get me to give him my SS# to verify if I had an active account. I did NOT give him my SS# and told him the account had been closed for several years. I quickly ended the call. The number has now been blocked.
- Caller: Chase Bank (spoofed)
- BufferI had been getting several calls from this number in the past two days and they sound suspicious right from the get-go. First, there is a long silence on the phone after I answer. Then a male with very broken English proceeds to tell me that he is from the financial department, but does not mention Chase. He has difficulty getting through that as well as stumbling through my name. By then, I am feeling very uneasy about the call and I merely hang up. I logged on to "Who Calls me" website and noticed the # is associated to Chase. I called Chase and after chatting to 2 different associates, I was transferred to fraud division and they confirmed my account was on OK status but didn't know why I was getting these calls. Personally, if you get a call from this number, I would not call them back, but call Chase to find why you are getting these calls. I noticed that prior to my calling Chase this morning, prior complaints were made back in 2008 and 2009. There are so many fraudulent things happening, especially on the internet. Whenever anything appears to be suspicious, I will immediately research it. I feel if pertinent information is required, the place of business will contact me in writing via snail mail. It's one thing if I place a call to the establishment, but if the place of business calls me, I'll question if the call is legit or not. ie: IRS will never call for info, but will write if they need info. I've gotten a couple of calls lately from IRS saying they are going to sue. Sue me, for out? You are calling me after I've made my deposit for the year way before the April 15 deadline?!...Yeah, and it's a pre-recorded call. Yeah, right.
- Caller: Chase
- JMPI received the same call the called Chase as I do not have an active account with them. They never heard about this and checked to see if someone had opened an account in my name. If you get this call, call Chase and verify if you have an account t with them.

- whocaresI got a call from this number today. They did not leave a message. It was at 7:57 AM my time.
I have a credit card with Chase so maybe that's what it was about. I sent them a secure message asking whats up and telling them not to call me or text me. Email is so much more efficient.- Caller: Chase, I think
- Call type: Unwanted
- RobChase Bank calling my home number to provide an activation number. When I tried logging into my credit card account, I could not, so I had to reset my password. Before I could do that, Chase sends out a number via text message or phone call (you choose) to a phone number that is associated with your credit card account (before the reset request). Legitimate phone call. You only need to write down the number provided in the voice or text message and proceed online to reset your password. You do not need to call the phone number provided in the message - the phone number the voice message gives is for people who did not request a password reset activation number. If you call it, you are connected to Chase Fraud Dept. and it will take steps to protect whatever accounts you may have. If you do not have any Chase accounts and received the phone/test message activation code in error, do nothing. You are safe.
- Caller: Chase Bank
- Call type: Valid
- QuigiAs Chris said above, this is Chase's legitimate number. I logged in from a different computer, so required validation. I requested they call. The first time they hung up after 4 seconds, before I even heard the phone ring. The second time I picked up, and got the activation code, and was able to log in. All OK.
If you didn't request it, most likely another another Chase customer accidentally has your phone number. And might click again when they don't get their activation code.
And, it's conceivable that some scamer spoofs their caller ID.- Caller: Chase
