Attempted to call back. Instead got this, "Your call cannot be completed at this time. Please check the number and try again"

Received a phone message from a missed call stating they were Vystar Credit Union and that my account ending in 1234 had suspicious activity and may have a hold. They had a case number for me to use when I called back. I immediately checked my account online and saw no problems. I will notify my bank and let them know. From other posts on the internet, this seems to be a spoofed phone number and runs across many different banks. Looks like a phishing attack!

I called my bank and they confirmed that this number was their authorized fraud detection center.

Actually, after my earlier post, it occurred to me that my bank merely confirmed that they had frozen my card due to possible irregular charges. I never mentioned the exact phone number. They asked me if the caller had given me a case number, which the caller did not. It is possible that somehow hackers get wind of bank business and use it to scam you.

I screen all of my calls and the caller left a message. I never give informationon an incoming call. I take the information and call my bank or service provider directly.

I hung up when it asked me for my zip as there was no bank or visa info on my caller ID. Lots of debit machines verify your debit card with your zip code.
This call was in regards to Sierra Central Credit Union.

I got a phone call from this number today, Sunday. I did not give any information over the phone. I checked our banks website to see if there had been any activity with my account. I then called our banks 24 hour emergency number. This call WAS from our bank, Century National Bank in New Concord Ohio, part of the Park National Bank system.

I received this call today and called back. They didn't ask for anything that seemed fishy.  I had attempted to buy something in the UK which is what caused the fraud call. Verified the last couple purchases I made and that was that.  I think this number is legit.

Called after a missed call and spoke with somebody named amber. I asked amber why they were calling me and who she worked for? She said fraud department for vystar and community first. Told her if she didn't tell her associates and coworkers to take my number off the calling list I would be harassing them and they'll be changing their number by this afternoon. Ask me I think it's a scam where they probably got your information and fraud may be popping up because they're trying to use incorrect information. They call to verify. Don't give anything to these scheming scam rats. Call your local bank to verify. Please share comment so millions won't fall for scam

My fiancé and I just settled a card scam ourselves. We received a call from this 877 number claiming to call from our banks fraud detection center. Almost didn't believe it until we went our bank to clarify what we thought was a mix-up when they shut his card off. This is a real detection fraud center for multiple banks and unions. Our bank confirmed the number for us and explained that they handle card frauds on behalf of most banks and unions. As usual, never hesitate to check with your bank first before making any decisions.

I'm getting these verification checks too much.  They appear to be legit with a case number as I've had 3 of these calls lately.  Call your bank and verify their fraud verification number and put it in your  phone book.  You'll at least know it's legit when they call.

I called my bank. They informed me there is no fraudulent activity on the account and the number 877-253-8807 is NOT a legit number. They are reporting it. DO NOT give them information. Better yet BLOCK that number.

I called my bank directly and they did confirm that it was their fraud department that called.  My bank thought there was suspicious activity on my card which triggered the fraud call.  It turns out there wasn't....but it was indeed a call from my bank per the rep I spoke to.

This is a legit call. It is NOT a scam or phishing scheme, though I do understand the concern. What I did was call my bank, not this company, and explain that I'd received a call from this company and they left a case number via my voicemail. After a couple of minutes, my bank verified that that in fact is a legit company they use to help monitor many credit union and banking accounts. If you made any international charges via your debit or credit card, it will more than likely be flagged in their system. Or, if you made a purchase out of your home state - that could do it as well. Take this seriously. Call your bank if need be, but make sure you call to get this taken care of because if you have not made any out of the ordinary purchases, then it is very likely someone has your information and is making transactions/purchases on your dime.

It's legit, I tried ordering a game online (mindcraft) for my son. The transition didn't go through and it was for the same amount as the message said. I then looked up that the  developers are located in Sweden, this is why it was tagged.

Oh really. This is a spam number, phishing.
