I received a call from this number and they left an automated message, acting like they were my bank. They even said the last 4 digits of my debit card number, saying they have detected fraud on my account, and than presented a case number. So annoying!

Said it was my bank and there was some suspicious activity on my account and there maybe a hold on my account. I tried ordering off an ad on Facebook last night. When I went to pay it wouldn’t go through for some reason. So I tried 2nd time same thing. Tried a other card did same thing so I cancelled out of the site. Went to another site on my own and ordered used the card no problem. Today I get message maybe on hold but I haven’t been out of the house to see if card is working. Plus I’m friends with few of the tellers to my bank so I messaged them and waiting to hear back. If it’s on hold I’ll wait til Tuesday and call my bank directly.

This is a scam!!!!! Do Not speak with their customer service representative. They are trying to steal your information. They said they were from Columbia Bank fraud department and knew the last 4 of my bank card which is scary!

I was concerned with the different phishing scams out there but this was legit. I called my credit union and they informed me that my card was in fact compromised and they use different 800 numbers, this being one of them. My credit union took care of it, but they said I could have done it when this number called.

Left a message and had my bank, my full name and last 4 digits of my debit card. Claimed they were following up on a possible unauthorized transaction and may have frozen my account. So I did what any sensible person would do. I called my financial institution directly and they verified that there was indeed a case opened on a transaction I had initiated earlier. So the number appears to be legitimate. I would still call your bank directly though.

Same here. Except in my case the transaction was mine. For some reason they detected it as suspicious. Not complaining though. Glad they're looking out for us.

I got 2 calls from this number but didn't pick up (I never do with unknown numbers). It happened after my debit card was declined, so I called my credit union and confirmed it was a legit call from their fraud department.

This call was legit. I received the fraud protection call, stayed on the line but then felt concerned and hung up. I called my bank (Desert Financial Credit Union) and they had the same case number and said that the 877 number was their fraud protection department. But when in doubt, call the bank directly.

I received 2 calls from this number today.  I chose NOT to answer it.  They did not leave any messages.  I decided to return the call and it was from a fraud detection center.

I just received a call from this number above.  I have no idea why they called.   The caller id says "Bath Savings" but no message was left

Voice mail from "Bath Savings" (a real bank but not mine), telling me my real credit union's Fraud Detection Unit suspects I may be a scam target. Call this 877 number for "help." [Don't. But if you must, call your bank's/credit-union's local number instead.
    Others report a similar approach.
