"Susan James" called me yesterday every half hour with a threatening message saying that I had to return her call by Monday at 5 PM or a decision would be made, and it would not go in my favor.  Upon returning their call, I got the answering machine.  Needless to say, if I have a bad debt, Im not aware of it, nor would I hide from it.  Screw them!  What are they going to do to me?  Break my knee caps?  Bring it on!

We have been receiving these calls 4-5 times per day.  Sometimes when the machine picks up they just hang up, and sometimes they leave a message to call the 877-254-0943 number.  They say it is Mercantile Adjustment Bureau, a debt collection company.  We don't owe anyone anything.  We don't call back. They are really a pain in the tush.

This group has been harassing us for over a year with "robot" phone calls. I feel that it is part of a scam to rob people by selling them bogus financial services or demanding payment for bogus debts. The FCC, FBI, FTC or somebody who is supposed to protect us should investigate this but somebody is probably being paid off not to.

I've been receiving calls and messages from this # on a regular basis so I called the number back and an automated female's voice identified themselves as "Medical Collections." This is bogus because I have no outstanding medical bills. *lso the voicemail on the message says they're attempting to collect a debt. I know who my debtors are and I'm current with my debtors so this is just too fishy.

Got a call from this number 2 hours after activating a new "cell" phone. ??? Had registered with the "do not call" site, but apparently it takes time. Why can't the FCC or whoever do something about this.

Repeated calls come in from 877-254-0943.Says she's Ms.Romano calling from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau???. Leave me alone.Don't know you. Don't owe anyone. Calls once a week.

I used to live in buffalo and I had a Friend that worked at Merchantile, they are a debt collections agency and as you have all seen do not have the greatest people skills I've dealt with their calls on and off for outstanding gas bills, medical bills, blah blah all stuff when i was living on my own at 17 and didnt have much of anything.  They are a legit company they are just total jerks its also because their company deals with "low end paper" as my friend put it which means debts unlikely to get recovered and has told me of some of the things he has said that was totaly not legal since then he has moved to another debt collection agency that deals in bigger debts 40-50k+ and says he gets clients to deal with but they have better recovery so he makes more.  all in all Merchantile employee's are [***] and i'd rather have bad credit than pay any smuck that works there a dime on a 200 dollar bill.

These jerks keep calling, I try to insult them , assclowns all.

I get a call from these people once a week and they ask for a deceased person. I know, because I knew the person. They keep calling even though I have asked them not to and told them that person is not alive anymore. It is frustrating since I don't use my cell phone much and have to pay by the minute.

I get sporadic calls from them, they once mentioned a name they were looking for. I called them back and told the person who took the call this, and they said that they couldn't find him and needed my number to verify who's identity they had wrong. I told them that they had reached a number on a military base (a lie, but didn't specify even what military) and that harassing military personnel is a very grave mistake for a civilian. Haven't heard from the since :)

Asking me for my account information. They were very rude and nasty. Would not tell me any information regarding why i called.

It's now a debt collection agency - some recording of a woman with a British accent saying "if you are not (insert name of debtor here), please hang up.  So I do, but it doesn't stop the call from coming at least once a day and leaving the same message.

Keep getting calls from them on our office voice mail we call back and leave a message for them to return our call.  They never call when someone is in the office.  They never leave the name of whom they are calling for.

I keep receiving calls from this number.  They start 'This call is for {name}.  If you are not {name}, hang up immediately.  Do not continue lsitening.'  Being an obedient person, I hang up.  Well today, they left a VM.  I am not the person they are trying to collect money from (YES - it is a collection agency).  I called them and honestly, they are the nastiest people I have dealt with.  I sure hope the calls stop but I hold no hope.

i keep getting calls from these dips**ts.. my caller id says SPAM right on it.  Ive answered once and when it said I have to call them back I didnt.. unless they can call me with a human I refuse to speak with them, ive actually started answering and hanging up just so I dont have to hear my phone ringing (I can mute the handset but not the base).

I have called this number and left message to *&^$@!!! Stop calling.  The message they leave is for some guy named Sergio Varga....NO SUCH PERSON AT THIS PHONE  NUMBER.  SO STOP ^&$%#$^!!! calling!
