They are calling my parents

A debt collector going by the name of Sally Norman called my parents house and left a message with my mother. I haven't lived at that address for over 15 years, right after graduating college.
I plan on taking care of my debt as soon as I can, but my wife and I have both been laid off recently.
I find this practice very disturbing.

Brandon biggs called my husbands parents looking for my father.... I recognized this number from a few months ago when they were trying to contact me saying they were a bank who needed my info to verify who I was to make a settlement with me... thing is... I never had an account with the company they told me I was delinquent with, which I think was discover card, so it was a complete scam posing as debt collectors trying to get my info. Don't give them any of your info!!!

It's Client Services Inc they are based in St Charles MO but also have an office in Lenexa KS. I used to work for them as well as Encore/ FIA/ Convergys....Client Services deals with Citibank cards, Chase, and Discover Cards which includes macy target home depot and some others... know your rights and know that if it's a citi card they can go as low as a 40% settlement regardless of what they tell you. by the time it reaches them it's 3rd party and there are more laws to protect cardholders...just get online and know your rights.

called my neighbor, who just moved in....when I called back, she asked my address and would not tell me what she was calling for.  She said that unless I wanted to tell her my address, she could not tell me what the call was in reference to and hung up on me.  Today was the 1st day that I received a call from this company and they go directly to my neighbor.

For the last year I have been getting rude calls from these people. They keep asking for a "Patrice Jackson". I told them I don't know anyone by that name and to leave me alone. They stopped calling and then just today they leave me a voicemail saying to call them back if I know where "Patrice Jackson" is. Once again, I explained to them I don't know where this person is, who she is, and don't even know anyone by that name. All they said was "oh, this must have been her old number". Nope, sorry. I'm pretty sure I've had this number for the last 10 years.

Mike Green called asking information regarding a former employee. He did not identify himself but said "it was important and he wouldn't be calling otherwise." He asked where the employee worked now and since I didn't know, asked me to find someone who did and call him back and let him know. I called him back and told him not to call here again and didn't give him any information.

I received 2 messages from 877 288-0504 x58037 Matt Hines, I called the number and the first thing the lady asked was what my SS# was, I told her not was I giving it to her. She said she couldn't transfer my call unless I gave it to her. I told her to transfer me to Matt Hines, he came on the line and said he needed my SS#, my address and full name. I asked him who he represented and he said until I give him that info he cannot disclose who he represents. I said good bye and hung up.

Would you rather someone else called in, DIDN'T verify any information, and the Collector disclosed the fact that you OWE, how much, and to whom? If not, then you should understand why verification of Soc Sec # and address is important. I mean, what's a collector going to do with your info? Apply for credit? YOU'RE IN COLLECTIONS, FOR PETE'S SAKE. You had no problem giving info when you wanted credit, now when it's (past) time to pay up, you have an issue. Yeah, right!!!!

This number calls all the time and wont leave who they are and what they want!! They call my cell and my job!!! leave me alone!

I obtained an attorney and sued these vultures under the Fair Debt Collections Act.  My attorney took the case on contingency and guess what, Einstein?  I won enough money to pay the original debt and pay to another.  All compliments of these nasty collectors.

No, I'm not immoral.  I had a 780 credit rating before losing my job.  I pay my debts when I can, but I don't need collection agency harassment.

Got a call for a family member who does not live here. Wanting her number also asking if I know how to
get in touch with her.  He was asked by her to help her and doesn't have her number..... George hawks at ext 54289.

Never give them private info on phone they either have it or they don't....they are on a fishing expedition.

Piece of cake to sue debt collectors.  I did last year and won $750 in a settlement.  
I won because they failed to notify me in writing and give me 30 days to respond and just started putting negative stuff on my credit report.  In settlement offer they removed everything negative and paid me $750 and a couple grand to my lawyers who handle it on the basis that they only get paid if I get paid.
