I called the number, and they said, "we do research for other companies." so I hung up. not Scotia Bank, and not Visa.

I never answer unknown numbers. This one didn’t leave a message, but keeps calling regularly!!

I got a call from this number @ 10:57PM!!!  it was a survey on cell phone usuage.  At 10:57PM?!?!?  if someone is calling me at that hour, it better be an emergency!!

You definitely got scammed. There is no possible way these can all be scams and yours was legit. If it was all good and actually visa why did you even look the number up and check this website out??? Because you knew something was wrong.... And got scammed

This number has called me three times today. I haven't been answering the calls, and they haven't been leaving any messages. Someone needs to get a life.

Asked for private information - likely for identity fraud. Hung up immediately

Ignored call and received automated voicemail. Conducting survey on cell phone usage. Blocked!

Answer a survey using my touch pad. After that they came on and asked if I’d want to participate in live surveys. I said sure. Then they asked if I was over 14. One of the survey questions was am I older than 18. It was an East Indian voice. I said I’m ending this call.

Obviously a scammer or sales call.

Access research is legit, not that you'd want to waste you're time for 30 bucks but it's just a call centre in toronto that does survey contract work. Some companies pay so much for data they cut people a slice so they will actually answer. Worked there for 3 months.

Either you got scammed, or you are the scammer trying to make this number look legit.

I think it is likely that "Randy" was a shill.  His post was a bit too positive, yet really did not say much.  Also, since Randy knew and trusted the caller, why was he here looking up a number?  Besides, let's face it, this site is about busting scams and posts from "satisfied customers" are just not that common.

So be careful about calls from this number.  The numbers/names in your caller ID can be spoofed.  And there are other shill posts in this thread.

It is always safer to thank the caller and then contact the bank or credit card company by calling the number on the back of your card.

Scam..total scam. Don't answer, it is not Scotia Bank.  It is some debt collector who is fishing for information. If you don't know the number, just don't answer..so simple and easy.

May I recommend answering that phone call and keep them on a line as long as you can. That will delay their next call to the next 'victim'. And that is a proven tool to stop them from calling you back. If you don't know what to say - 'Thank you for your call but I am on another call right now. Let me quickly finish it, I'll be back with you in a sec.' always works... Keep silence after that and they will stop calling your after 3 calls (maximum). Call blocker will also work but that would not help to slow down their unfair business.
