- Anon replies to serena| 3 repliesAction Collections & Receivables Management are liars. They said the same to me that they would remove me from their list. Now their computer is calling me on me cell phone at 30 cents per pop! I owe no money to anyone. They have got the wrong person and they refuse to quit harassing me. Action Collections & Receivables Management are scumbags, losers and a'holes. Flush the parasites.
- John Kirkham replies to Anon| 2 repliesWe perpetually get calls for someone who has never lived here. We've called back and had them agree to remove us from their call list, but that only lasts a few weeks then they're calling us daily again.
This organization is clearly some combination of incompetent, stupid, and evil, though I don't know which is predominant.
Fortunately, there are laws in Ontario that may protect us:
http://www.sse.gov.on.ca/mcs/en/Pages/Persona ... ncy_Rights.aspx
Glancing through this list I can quickly see that they are breaking the law!
I am going to go through the following steps to try to fix this:
1) Write a letter of complaint to the company -- posted, paper mail, so it can be tracked and confirmed.
2) File a complain with the Ministry of Consumer Services: http://www.sse.gov.on.ca/mcs/en/Pages/Complaint_Steps_to_File.aspx
3) Report them to the CRTC for violating the DNCL.
4) File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- this company somehow has a high rating that really should be an "F"!
(And if they persist after that, file a complaint with the RCMP/Phone Busters.)
If these people continue to unfairly harass any of you, please do what I'm doing. Certainly if enough people complain some red flags will get raised somewhere (I hope). - TJ replies to John KirkhamCollection agencies do not have to follow the DNCL as they are not selling or soliciting.
- jhthis company continues to call and I have told them I am not the person they are looking for. they will not stop calling so i blocked the calls, they continue so i will be reporting them to the bbb in bc and see if someone can get these company the proper fines for harassing people that they have not business contacting.........this is crap.............
they should not be allowed to call numbers repeatly if they do not have the correct information.........i want this stopped- Caller: Action Collections & Receivables Mgt

- ajSooo frustrating. I have talked to two people now and given them all the names and reference numbers they have left on my machine, they are looking for 3 different people all on my number. My number has a lot of repeating digits so I suspect people are just using it as a "dummy number".
Unfortunately although I am being told my number is removed from their records they still call every day.- Caller: Action Collections & Receivables

- Beckyi receive calls from them daily looking for 2 separate people that i have never heard of, nor can pronounce the names. i have called back and waited -forever- to talk to someone and told them it was not me they were looking for and the number they had was wrong. they sounded understanding and told me they would take me off the list and correct things, but literally the same day the calls continued and have ever since. its now 3 years later and im very tired of answering my phone
- Paul Esteves| 7 repliesIam a collection agent and I am unscrupulous. I use blocked numbers, threats and harrassment to get attention. you can send me as many emails as you like though!!!!!

- patyou are so very welcome to be as unscrupulous as you like....but with someone else's phone number !!! Terrible phone service, and insolent people at your business...........you must be very unhappy in your life to want ot be so disgusting to others !!!!..............very demeaning, condescending.

- EI got several messages from them looking for someone else - I called the number back to tell them it was a wrong number and the lady said they can't remove my number unless I provide an alternate number. What?
I found their BBB profile here (they've had 13 complaints in the past 12 months): http://www.bbb.org/kitchener/business-reviews ... onto-on-1178691
I'm thinking I might just file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this.- Caller: Action Collections

- dianeI've had the same problem with this company. They promised to remove my number but lied and still I am receiving calls. When I call to complain they are rude, condecending and do not want to listen to a genuine complaint. then they hang up before I am finished. where are out lawmakers and what are they doing about things like this? If enough people complain hopefully something will get done at a higher level.

- Kymmie| 1 replyThese people keep calling my cell for my ex who I have not spoken to in months. When I asked them to remove my number, they refuse to believe. I have no communication with him and asked me if he still works a job that he worked at and left before I ever met him, would someone please tell me how they have his old info from before our relationship but still managed to get my phone number?

- MaryI recieve two calls per week from Action Collections and Recieveables Management and I am sick of it. Please stop calling me you are asking for the wrong person.

- pdlw replies to Paul EstevesYou are going to get sued!
- Jackie| 1 replyI have had repeated calls from 877-274-6626 which is Action Collections. I am not their debtor. I have emailed them at info@actioncollections.com and also laid a complaint with an Ontario Better Business Bureau info@mwco.bbb.org. It is obvious to me that they do not check their phone numbers since I have had this number for several years. The individual they are looking for has never lived at my address.
