- MB| 3 repliesYes, I keep getting calls from them. I say hello and it takes them too long to connect so I hang up. Today I waited and it was someone from "Triple A" asking for William. There is no William at our house, nor was there ever. They called 8pm EST - PA.
- fed up with misdialed #s| 1 replyI have repeatedly gotten calls from this #, claiming I'm a member of AAA, which I'm not, & haven't been for at least 20 years!! I called them back, gave them my , & the rep said "was I so & so?" I said no, & I didn't know the woman she referred to. I then told her to remove my phone # FROM HER LISTS, OR I WOULD INITIATE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS FOR HARASSMENT!! She then apologized for making the contacts, & told me the calls would stop immediately. We will see.
- Caller: AAA
- Call type: Telemarketer
- fed up w/ misdialed #s| 2 repliesGave the rep a piece of my mind when they called again last night, AFTER I had told them NOT to call my # again!! This time they used another name, that I don't know, for the person they were trying reach!! Why do they keep calling MY freakin' #?"?? HARASSMENT, pure & simple!!!!

- Mina| 6 repliesI actually got 2 calls from 352-385-5454 regarding, both saying this was about my AAA account. The first, timestamped at 8:07pm, I didn't pick up, and got a voicemail saying to call 877-795-0568 about my AAA account. Tonight, I just got a call at 8:47pm, same number (352-385-5454), which I picked up. The lady on the phone (I forget her name) said she was calling about my automatic renewal and that she'd be happy to take my credit card number.
Uh, no.
I told her I'd go through AAA's website if there was an issue. She said I could call another # to get to renewing my account more quickly, and gave me this # (877-795-0568). Then I hung up. Dude, AAA notifies me by snailmail when it's time to renew. So this phone call was a phishing expedition IMO.
If my caller ID is correct and not a front, then the calling number is in the same timezone as me. What reputable company calls after eight-[***]-PM? Verily, I call [***].- Caller: supposedly AAA
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mina replies to Mina| 3 repliesSame poster as above.
I should note, too, that while the lady was SO eager to take my credit card number, she NEVER asked for my AAA membership number.
I went to go to AAA's website (because after glancing at my card I see it expired on 9/1/13, whoops; must've missed the snail-mail), but it wasn't loading. So I called AAA's customer service, and the very helpful lady asked for my membership # FIRST THING, and she also commented that they're having issues and that's why the website is down.
So even if I had given Mt.Dora Lady my number, there's no way they could've processed the information. I gave AAA the 352 number and the 877 number, so that they'd be aware of it. - Mina replies to Mina| 1 replySorry, I keep remembering things.
ALSO ALSO
AAA told me that their renewal department is open only until 8pm. I got both phone calls after 8pm, and the Mount Dora Lady said that their office is open from 9am to 9pm. - D Strong replies to MBAlso got a call this morning from the 877 number. Was told I credit card declined for renewal of our AAA membership. Gave the credit info, knowing that our renewal is up on 8/31. Then saw all these posts about concerns. Just spoke with AAA's 888 number ... YES, this # is indeed AAA!!! The customer service rep verified that our credit card on file was declined (we had changed credit cards since last year) and the amount that was given to me at the 877 number was the correct amount.
So ... this number appears to be legitimate for AAA!!!! - BarbaraI just received a call from someone claiming to be AAA, offering me a 50% discount on renewing my expired membership. Mine actually expired 3 months ago and the deal sounded good, so I almost fell for it, but just in time asked for a number I could call back instead of giving my credit card # to someone who had called me. Of course I checked the number first and found out it's a scam. Then I realized the phone number they had called is not even the one AAA has on file for me.
- Caller: ? said they were AAA but they're not
- Wilmington NC| 1 replyI have had repeated calls from 877-795-0568 leaving messages that they are representing AAA and that they have a current promotion if you renew your membership now you will receive a month free; 13 month renewal.
Well I am embarrassed to admit that I feel for it on September 22, 2014. I was running errands and went back to my car and it wouldn't start. Once I was home I called the number and (in my defense) they used the correct verbiage to represent AAA. Erin was the AAA representative that assisted me with my renewal. She had my name, address and the fact that my AAA membership had expired. Unfortunately, I renewed my AAA Plus membership for $79 which an expiration date of October 2015 and Erin provided a confirmation number. She informed me that it would be 24 hours before I could use my AAA membership. During the transaction there was no indication that it was not a legitimate renewal.
Tuesday, September 23, I called the AAA Roadside Assistance 800-222-4357 number on my card and Tammy informed me that I had not renewed my AAA Plus membership and that there was no record that I spoke to an AAA representative the day before. Sad to say I was taken advantage of and feel for the scam hook, line and sinker.
Lucky when I pulled up my on-line banking on September 23, there was no transaction of the $79. I immediately called my Bank and cancelled my debit card. I also called the real AAA and informed them of the scan.
Happily for me my story has a happy ending. The only inconvenience I have is when I receive my new debit card I will have to inform a number of businesses of my new debit card number. I had no idea that I was being scammed and I feel fortunate that there attempt failed. Buyers beware. - JA| 2 repliesI received a phone call from a lady claiming to work for Tripple A. She said that it was time for my automatic renewal, but that my credit card number needed updating. He voice sounded very scripted and almost computer like so I asked if this was something I could do online. She replied that it was, but sometimes it's easier to just work with a human, She was very adamant and pushy about me giving her my info, I told her I would do it online and save her number just in case. She had my full name and address. She also gave me false hours for Tripple A. I'm also not 100% positive she gave me her name. Tripple A always does emails and snail mail so be careful if you receive any calls!
- Caller: Tripple A
- - replies to JA| 1 replyI work for AAA calling from the Renewal/Retention Office. This is the number we give to call back. We always have to give our name and if you ask, we have to provide it again.
Our office (which is different than local offices and the Emergency Roadside Service [which is 24 hours]) is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm.
It is legitimate and if you call the Member Services and Discounts number located on your AAA card, they will verify.
We also have access to your name, address, member ID number, number of associates and your current membership's expiration date. So, if you ask us to verify that we are from AAA, just ask and we will and are expected by our supervisors to do so. - - replies to MinaWe don't have to ask because we have it in front of us. We verify your address and your associates names and pricing while we are on the phone with you, before we even gather your CC#.
We only use your member number if you ask us to verify it. Being AAA, we shouldn't need to ask YOU for it. - CTK replies to Wilmington NCThis is actually a legitimate number for A AA membership renewals. Nobody scammed you and you didn't fall for anything. Call A AA Members Services (the number on the back of your card) and they will confirm.
I understand people get scared these days giving credit card numbers over the phone, but you changed your debit card for nothing. - kellbo| 3 repliesI work at AAA from this number for renewals etc... this is NOT A SCAM! So sad it's this bad that even after confirming any info requested we are still doubted
- Caller: AAA
- DeenaAAA never called me about my membership before. Why now.
- ...I think the people coming onto this website to assure that it isn't a scam are actually part of the scam. The only way to be sure is to only give your card info to a number you called yourself and KNOW is legitimate.

- Evil BobI just got a call from this number that rang once and then stopped. After reading the comments here, I did a Google search for "AAA membership renewal phone number" and this isn't it. (I'd post it here, but you shouldn't blindly trust that I'm telling the truth either.)
- ChortleCalls every few days wanting my credit card information for AAA. Politely told the lady I'll take care of renewing my AAA membership through their website, continually prods for number promising discounts. Said I was not interested and would take care of it through the website as previously stated. Still calls every few days.
- Dawn| 1 replyJust got a call from this number. Called it back and a live person answered thank you for calling AAA. Still don't trust people's comments on here that t is the number. Working for a bank and hearing all the fraud stories, DONT EVER EVER GIVE YOUR INFO TO SOMEONE THAT CALLS you!! Of course the banks will files claims but it is a pain the rear to deal with.
