Called Sears today. French. Difficult to communicate, but finally successful in getting my phone numbers removed from Sears automated calling list at 866-491-2247. Lady said this is the number to call for warranty work on Sears purchases. Easy as pie!

Just called this number: 1866 491 2247 and they took me off the list. I suggest you all do the same.

We keep receiving a 1 877 889 2024 number, no message left any time, who are these people and why are they allowed to call us???????????

I received a phone call also today, that's the fifth in 4 days.... veeeery annoying!!!
Any ways to stop them/him?

This number has called our house 7 times in the past 3 days.  Boring on harrassment I'd say.

I meant bordering on harrassment.  And the Sears warranty thing totally makes sense since I bought a treadmill from Sears about 6 months ago (without an extended warranty).  Sooo...we blocked the call on our phone, so now, no worries!  We're also in Western Canada.

They've been calling me several times a day for almost a month. We haven't purchased anything from Sears (at least 4 yrs ago)that require a warranty. Alberta here.

See my  2 posts from 22 April, 2009 on page 6. This is Sears in Montreal or a telemarketing company hired by them. They refuse to stop this nonsense and won't respond to e-mails to their executive offices. The only answer is to boycott them, and you know this won't happen. Phone your local Sears store and try to get the phone number of the executive offices. This 800 phone number will only work for incoming calls in Quebec. It obviously works for outgoing calls to all of Canada. If you get an agent when they phone demand their name and employee number. Good luck in your efforts to harrass them back. E-mailing their company is a total waste of time. If you ever purchased anything from Sears they have a right to try and contact you to sell you an exrended warranty.

I have already reported this number various times, they just wont quit and they just called at one minute to 9 tonight, twice.

I have had at least a daily call from 877-889-2024.  I do not answer because ther is not one person I know with that 877 area code

I recieve at least 2-4 calls per day, getting sick of it.

I have recieved this call as well. Waking me every morning for three days! (Grrr!) So you could say I was ticked off to say the least! I am on the do not call list and I checked it didn't expire. So I phoned the operator and asked her what was up. She said that the do not call list doesn't work and that these numbers are well within their rights to call. "THREE TIMES A DAY?" I asked she said that there was nothing she could do and that she has recieved calls from people like me everyday and had no answer. So I called the advocacy number posted by "Sears hater" on this page (Thanks for that!)and sure enough they had me listed. I don't shop at Sears. I have never given them my phone number! The lady was pleasant and removed my name. I asked why I had to "google" the number why it was so hard to find out who they were and she blew off the question. Thanks again Sears Hater! I will never step through the doors of Sears again!

It appears to be Sears alright.I called the 1-866-491-2247 number,spoke to someone right off the bat and she said she removed my number from the call list.I'll let you all know if it works.

....and just for the record why can't Aliant give us call blocking like other phone companies???Also don't forget the National Do Not Call does not apply to anyone you have dealt with in the past.CRTC?  What a friggin' joke.Anyway,I'm going to watch my illegal Direct TV.Oh Canada!!!!

I also received 5 calls last week.  I call back this number and I got a recorded message from Sears Canada.  As I'm a french person I've selected 2 for french speaking and another message said that they've tried to join me for a "contract service which was expired and that they will try later".

They will remove you from solicitation if you call that number.

Have received 3 phone calls from this # over the past week.  Have googled, found it was Sears, and called the Sears Customer Advocacy # twice to have my # removed.  They are still calling.  

According to Do Not Call registry, "If you do not want to be called by a telemarketer making an exempt call, you can ask to be put on the telemarketer’s internal do not call list. Every Canadian telemarketer is required to maintain such a list and respect your wishes not to be called".  

We do have a past business relationship with Sears, however, I still filed the complaint and used the "company is refusing to remove number" section.

We'll see if that works!

This goddamn number was on my phone twice this morning! Who ever the [***] is, they called at 11:31am and again at 12:31pm. Getting quite sick of seeing this number when the phone rings. It is just dead air when you pick up. And, it's pointless to just ignore the call and let it ring because they keep calling!!! Ahhh drove with all this [***] and no one can see to do a damn thing about it.
