This company is not really a scam, but it is a bad company, the reason you have to pay for the list is deniability by GMI.You buy the homeowners information from a secondary party. You become the "scammer" to unknowing homeowners. The government DOES NOT pay you, basically YOU keep a homeowners government refund check, until the homeowner pays you money to give them their check. You become what Hud calls a TRACER!! This practice is legal, but not really ethical. Beware if you are a homeowner, to get your money from these people, you will have to sign a power of attorney.

I also recieved the same type of call ya all are talking about.I filled out NO forms of any kind,I was not even hooked to the internet when they called me.I thought "great job", I have to have surgery and cannot work so I,also thought I could help my husband with the load.I paid the fee, then found out I had to also buy Smart Toolwhich I did, only to find out the support web they send you to,is nothing but pages of complaints about this company. GMI Enterprises. MY OPINION, THEY HAVE A LEGITEMAT,ILLEGAL, BUSINESS! They sell us this job,that is outdated,not used anymore,but legally,if you got the orientation pkg.,thats all they say they do!!So from what Ive worked out,it is a legal loophole.I actually got ripped for $170.00 because I was also told I had to buy the Smart Tools in order to get my govt. list for free.Anyone else told they had to buy SMT TLS?? I think I just got scammed and My bad cause at 50 I felt like I should have known better. That saying "Too good To be True" I should have listened to my gut,cause it was. Oh, the # from which they called me was the same as the customer service # and I even have the operator name and his #,but that wont help.I think we got scammed, if that ONE guy actually has a job,he might be working for them....

And then I just thought of something: What if these people are using voice changing software to sound like they have extra phone operators? I am an idiot. The only reason why I proceeded is because they said the thing was refundable.

~~~~~~ Best that my caller ID not be plugged in right now until I get electrical tape &/or a new plug for Caller ID. So just the phone part is working. That's why I Didn't put anything in Caller ID. I put in GMI Enterprises because I assume that is who called me, lol, but I don't know what the Caller ID would have said. ~~~~~~~~~

I just got this passage in the mail 4/4/09.  It gave this site for me to go to to get my questions answered, and I found out that they wanted me to know GMI is a scram.  Why don't someone put these people in jail?  they got $79 dollars from me.

I will be calling GMI tomorrow to refund my money.

Check out this web site. The man on the front with dozens of checks is Curt Dawn one of the co-owners. Also in the video is Kirsti Hegg stating she made over 3 million dollars with this business last year.
