received a call from 301-882-9971 leaving a voicemail that said they were calling from WestStar Advertising saying i had filled out an entry form and won the prize. then it says to call this number 888-523-9087 to redeem my prize?? Did not call.

Got the same message just a couple of minutes ago. I'm not calling either.

They are just trying to get you DL and CC numbers so they can scam you or worse.

I got a call and it used many cell minutes. Do not return the call under any circumstances. They are just trying to sell you vacations. Nothing is free.

If you press "1" they promise 2 complimentary cruise tickets from Galveston to Cozumel, if you are married, with a household income of $40K+, between 25 & 70, etc, etc, etc. PLUS $300 of gasoline!!! Press 1 (again) Must provide a credit card and drivers license. 6 pm or 8 pm. No children. Press 1 (again). To reserve this package, press 701.

This is some major mickey-mouse BS. By pressing 1 over and over, you do not know what access you are providing them. By pressing 701, you do not know what will happen (for instance, record your phone number, unknowingly "authorize" access to personal information, etc.

Advertising to a Wireless Phone Number is illegal.

I also recieved a call from the same # , with the same message.
It continued to ask me to press one to get info. and address to claim a
cruise. Each time I did this,it just gave me the same info. without revealing
an address to claim prize.

Did not answer call, looked up number ended up here good info. How the heck do these fools get your cell number and harass you all the time!!!!!! If I want to go on a cruise I will call them!!!!!

Hello everyone. Same thing. Got a voice mail from 1-888-523-9087 saying they were Westar something or other and I had entered in a contest at one of their events last year and won a round trip and rental car. So I googled the number. And all I got was this lousy message board. These people suck, I think.

Jeeze, I thought I actually won something. I did filled out a survey that has prize drawing not long ago. I pressed "2" at one point, and it lead me to their voicemail and asked me to leave my name and the phone number, so I hung up. Of course, after I hung up I went straight to my email to see if there are any message regarding the prize. I can't believe I actually got excited by this crap. I think they had some idea of where I live. Did this happened in Texas only?

Just got a message saying we won 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the US and a 7 day rental car.  Said completed an entry form at America West event.  We never entered a contest or completed a form. Obviously a scam.   We also reside in TX.

Received unsolicated pre-recorded call.  Here is the voice mail transcript:

Hi, this is Lee with America West Tour Company.  Please be advised the entry form you or a family member filled out at one of our events last year

Phone # did NOT show up on the caller ID of my CELL Phone (it is illegal to solicit on a cell phone). First time I've ever gotten a call with no caller ID on my cell as it is supposed to be blocked from unknown callers - I'll need to call T-Mobile about this! Anyway, on to the call from about 10 minutes ago: An entry form filled out last year at one of their events by either me or my family member was pulled, and I won a free round-trip airfare for 2 from anywhere in the US (initially said DFW - I don't even live there) to anywhere in the US, plus a free 7 day rental car!!! Uh, ya, BS!!!

I did not pick it up.They left a message. Free round trip from my hometown airport to the paradise. Free! Yeah right! Nothing is free.waste of time.

Got the same message from Lee with West Star advertising.  The message is actually quite humorous.  The lady sounds so excited about telling me what I've won.  I won't be calling back.
