Yep, got the same call this morning. I didn't call back either. Do these ppl really think we are this stupid? And are there ppl that actually fall for this BS? Sad, truly sad.

They seem to be calling on cell phones which uses up your minutes.  And if you answer the call and push 1 you end up getting into a perpetual loop without ever getting the address.

Why is there so much idle chit chat about this itinerate irritant and not more discussion on how to report and prosecute?

My boyfriend received the same call with the same spiel and really wanted to attend the session in hopes of redeeming the free airline tickets. I thought the whole thing sounded pretty shady so I did some research, found all the comments here as well as on the following site that recognizes the company as being Vacation Travel Club.

Same junk as all the above.  Did not waste my time returning the call.  It just upsets me that this crap took time out of my day and makes me worry.  Another site listed this number as a possible identity theft scam.  Please don't give out any personal information.  Spend your time putting your numbers on the do not call registry.

Message Synopsis:
An over-cheery woman left a message about "an entry form you or a family member filled out at one of our events last year was pulled and you and your spouse have been selected to receive 2 complimentary round-trip from DFW Airport to anywhere within the United States including a complimentary 7 day rental car."

Notice some of these victims are reporting this specific number are in Texas?

I got the call also.  Do not return.

I just got the same call - looks like it's starting back up.  Mine did show the phone number though...I know so many people that would probably call this back.. sad.

I got the same call 2 hour ago. I almost believed her even she sounded funny. Nothing is free! Then I found this page. What they do is illegal isn't it? Somebody stop them.

Call was from Westar. I listened to the entire message after continuing following all the prompts. The address they gave was 1600 Corporate Ct. in Irving,Texas 75038. I did notice after not pushing any prompts that the message continued on anyway. I believe it does so unless you push 2 to be taken off the list. I have never heard such a phony voice in all my life, poorly performed as well.
These people are actually part of a credit colloection scam. Its just another way for them to get peoples information under the guise of giving them free "stuff". If they autodial 2000 people and get only 5% to respond, that is still 100 people. Its a scam.

Man, this company is just really big wiener! I have never been called by an 800 or any toll-free number, but good ol' Westar (?) just so excited to give me my free gifts.  What makes this whole thing even more unbelievable is that they called me, a 17 year old, at 7:42 p.m. on my cell phone.  Case closed. These people are toolsheds.

I have a Texas number too and I just received the call. Sounds sketchy! I would not recommend calling the number back either.

This is a child's cell that was registered w/ the do not call option.
