After looking up their number on my Caller-ID(888-680-2954) and learning from others on this website that the company (Allied Interstate) tries to collect old debt that has already been paid, I was ready for them the 2nd time they called. This time I told the caller what I had read about them and that I would not even relay their message to the person they were looking for. They said I was rude and hung up on me! It felt good to do that.  Thanks for having this website.

These people are complete jerks as far as I am concerned.  I have also been harassed  by these calls at all hours of the day and many times a day.  I never pick  up the call and they don't leave messages.  I finally  called them back from the caller ID yesterday and they are asking for someone else.  They should be more sure of what they are doing before they keep annoying people who have no debts, etc.  They should be reported to the Attorney General's office and shut down for good.

I get a call every single day around 8am from this number also...they hang up even when I answer....insane....EVERYDAY

Have been getting these calls for weeks. Never answered it, but decided to today. Big mistake. The caller asked to speak to someone I do not know. I question who they were and what company they were calling from. They said to me in a harsh tone "I suppose he is not in". Not something I wanted to hear. I them asked to be removed from their call list, and get this, I was hung up on. I simple called the number back and when the rep answered I proceeded to tell my story and that I wanted to removed, I was asked questions about who they wandted to speak with and were looking for, there again, not someone I even knew. By this time I was getting upset. All I wanted was to know who these people were, what company, and why they were calling me. Still to no avail. I once again was hung up on. I then called them again! Wanted them to know how it feels to be called over and over again! Gave my spill again a little more upset by this time, and the rep was more rude than me. I then asked to speak to a manager. After some time and more harsh words I was greeted by the "vice preisdent" Damion! I must be important, right! I was then told that my name and number had been removed, still offered no answer who they were, all I could get from this man was that they were a "financial institution." We'll see if I truly am removed or not, I sure hope so! These people must be stopped! I hope this will help anyone who has been a victim of this harassing company!

these people at 888-680-2954 allied interstate call every day sometimes twice. i just quit answering the phone.  if you keep reporting them to the do not call registry 1-888-382-1222 they will be fined $50.00 each time. this is what our local operator told me to do.
maybe if we all do that they will go bankrupt!
besides, i don't know why they call us anyway.  we don't have credit card debt and are not ever delinquent.  our credit is right up there on God's nightstand. ha  go figure???  maybe they don't have any friends, family or LIFE.

I do owe $ to them old store account I had.  Old - from divorce (my husband was supposed to be responsible for it but he didn't pay so now I have to).  I have tried to work w/them to set up payments. They are unwilling to work on payment arrangments with me, and demand more than I can afford.  I told them how much I can pay and when, and they have said they will not accept this and have said they are taking it as I refuse to pay (which is NOT true!).  They have resorted to screaming and acting unprofessionally.
They are unbelievably rude and persistant.
Also, have contacted my family on many occasions as well, despite the fact that they have been asked to take them off the list.

This party has been calling me for over a month every morning between 8:00 and 8:10am. There is never anyody on the line and if I don't answer they don't leave a message either. Called my phone company and they told me to contact my state Attorney Generals office, so that is my next step.

Someone keeps calling from this number but they never leave a message. If I'm home, I lift the handset and immediately hang it back up without speaking. I don't have any delinquent debts past or present so there is no reason for a collections agency to call me. My phone number is listed using only a first initial and last name. Neither of which is mine. So when people call and give only the initial and last name, I ask them for a first name. When they can't provide one, I tell them they have the wrong number and hang up. When I move I plan to change the number and list it under my deceased grandmother's name. That way when someone calls and asks for her by name, I can say "I'm sorry she died in 1991 but if you'd like to leave a message, I'd be happy to give it to her when I see her in Heaven." LOL

They keep calling my home phone. So, I keep picking the handset and hanging it back up every time. I have no outstanding debts past or present. My bills are current and I pay my credit cards in full almost every month there is a bill due. I can't wait to move and change my phone number. I'm going to list it under a deceased relative's name so when bill collectors and telemarketers call and ask for that person, I can say, "She's dead."

DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY...they buy old SOL debts (bogus or real) and try to get money from people.  See budhibbs.com and read up about this "creative" scam that MANY companies are resorting to.  It's pretty darned scary!!  Be AWARE!!! They use several different phone numbers too.

This # calls me numerous times per day & leaves blank messages on my answering machine. They call starting at 8 AM even on wknds. When I answer no one says anything, so I don't even know how to tell them to stop. I reported the # on the Do Not Call Registry site. I saw other ppl said it was a debt collection agency, but I am a student and have no debts.

They keep calling and asking for my dead beat brother-in-law. When you tell them he does not live hear they start with the probing questions about where to find him. When I called the office I spoke to a "stupidvisor" and was told my number was given as a refrence on a applaction and that why they keep calling to find. I requested to be deleted on the call list.that was two weeks ago and they have called 3 times since????????

These idiots constantly call here all hours of the fay, starting at 8:10 AM this morning, and have called here numerous times for the past month.  I have answered, and no one is there.  It has gone to the machine and no messages have been left.  I am getting very irritated with their calls

If you wait about 45 seconds, someone finally comes on the line. But beware, they are complete a**holes.  You bet I chewed them out for calling at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, but they hung up on me!  Before I could tell them no one by that name lives here!  Report these people to your Attorney General!

If they call and when you answer and there is no response on their side, dead air, or better known as ABANDONED CALL, report them to the FCC.  This is a tactic used by many Debt Collection agencies.

Unfortunately, I have the number for some jerk who won't pay his bills, so I get all his calls.

If they are using the ABANDONED CALL tactic on you, REPORT THEM!  This is the only way to get these companies to obey the laws.  Eventually the FCC will investigate them and fine them for such abuse of the system.

I've received 3 calls from them. Today was the most recent one. i decided to call it back I got a "Yolanda" on the other end. I asked who they were, and wanted to know who they were looking for and how they got my cell phone number. She gave me a name that she was looking for, and it wasn't me.  She got very hostile with me and told me the call would be recorded, but i needed to give her my number first to be removed.  After arguing some, that they already have my number, i decided to give it to her. She said that the calls are computer generated, so she didn't have my number. She was going to take my number off her computer, but it wouldn't happen until over night processing. Then i asked here where they are located, and she told me India.  I got very nervous that i had just made a call to India. I called my cell phone company to confirm and hope that i didn't have a $100 phone call to India.  She confirmed it was a toll free number, and told me to google it and find out more about them.  HOpefully i'm off their list.

These people call my home office fax number 2 and 3 times everyday. I called them and told them this was my fax number and to take me off of there list. If I get one more call I will report them to my states attorney general.
