I've been getting calls from this number 7-8 times a day for the last couple of months. Is there any way to get off this number's call list? It's driving me nuts!

i have no idea this guy calling me several times i tried to ask him who is he but he do not want but he is still calling me and i really panic  so i want to know  who is this guy and what his mission is?

Yea, I just received a call from the same # 8888888888. I didn't answer, maybe they'll just go away. I turn my cell phone off after a certain time at night. Wonder if they go to this site. Nothing is safe anymore.I agree that they are cowards. I'v opted out of all the businesses, so why me?

I to got this call today and went looking to find it and this is what I found from 800 notes. THE NUMBER IS REGISTERED TO Genesis Of Pittsburgh Incorporated

Got calls from this number the last few days a couple times a day. Never answered before and figured I would this time to ask them to remove me from their call list. an Indian (or sounded Indian could have been faked) guy on the other end knew my name and said "is this Tasha, how are you?" I said "yes it is and I'm at work, please remove my number from your list" he responded by saying "I want to f_#$ you!" Over and over until I hung up... Yes he said the F word!

They got my answering machine yesterday and just kept saying Hello, hello.   Really, they can't tell an answering machine message when they hear one?  I wasn't home at the time but I wouldn't answer a phone call from 888-888-8888 anyway.

This is a telemarketer, or otherwise unwelcome caller.

this number called me today and it kind of freaked me out!! i didnt answer, but they didnt even leave a voicemail..

Got a call from this number say my computer was sending them lots of error messages and other stuff. Told them a couple of times my computer doesn't know my phone number a couple of times then they hung up. The person seemed to have a Indian accent.

Just got a call from this number, I'm calling T-Mobile fraud dept and fcc

Got a call from this number.  No message.  I called them back and got a recording asking if there is anyone in my household over age 50. If yes press 1 if no press 2.  I pressed 2 and they said I was entitled to a $100 of rebate of some kind and that I should have my credit card handy.  Really?  I'm going to give some stupid telemarketer my credit card info.???  I knew that anyone calling from a number like 888-888-8888 would be a scam but I was interested to see what kind of a scam it was.  Hope they don't call me anymore; only a fool would actually give them any information!

they keep calling so i finally answered. woman with a very thick indian accent told me she was calling me from microsoft support center about my computer. i told her to take me off their calling list and she answered with "why?"

The last digit of Unified Services's Customer Service (866) 904-779 number is "6", something I got from somewhere.

When I dial (866) 904-779-6, which I did just a bit ago, I got the identical (IDENTICAL!) recording I get when I dial (888) 888-8888, which I've been doing now for two or so weeks.

It's a strange number because about two weeks ago when I came across the number on a list of toll-free numbers of the format "8xx-8xx-8xx8" again and then tried out that 888-888-8888 number again, it gave a rather long message about a cruise to the Bahamas and eventually hung up.  It did this several more times when I called it.

Then, when I called it a while later, it came back with a shorter, different message.

And when I called it still another time - and ever since - the message has been:
1. a female voice saying, “Please leave the company name you are trying to reach and a message after the tone”, then,
2. a beep, then 6-second pause, then,
3. a male voice, “Thank you for your assistance.”, which is followed by,
3. a second, but insistent, male voice saying, “Please hang up now.”, a 3-second pause, a repetition of the “request” and pause,
4. a 15-second outerspace-ish, almost musical-sounding “riff”, and ending with
5. an immediate disconnect pulse, i.e., a 1-second drop to zero volts meant for my end to disconnect my phone from them.

I suspect that they and/or their answering equipment got wise to me since I called it so many times - that is, more than once or twice.

Using Yahoo.com with the search argument: [1-888-888-8888  ]

“69,700 results”(!!!)
  =>
All of the results looked like they were “victims” of being called BY that number; none about what happened when they dialed the number.

So, while we don't know the 10-digit number that the 866-904-779(6) number call forwards to, if there is one, at least its last digit is taken care of.

Howdy again!

Note: All the times that I have called (888) 888-8888 (or its sister toll-free number (866) 904-7796) I have MUTED my phone and never responded to their prompts to press any keys.

I suspect they may think I'm some sort of virus or something "attacking" their system since I've probably called over 50 times without responding in any way yet call back over and over again!

They have called me three times. Every time I answer its somerhing different. This time I called it back and the lady said I dont know what u r talking about we are a lawfirm. Really?

I just received a call from this 888 number.  Lady had a heavy asian accent almost to the point of not understanding what she was saying.  Extremely broken English.  But, she said "the server" told her my system had been infected and was about to crash.  She wanted me to go to my PC, log in and follow some prompts.  I just kept saying who are you and what are you talking about.  She repeated it again and then hung up.  What's strange about it that my system last night got a bad virus and "safepcpoint" kept flagging me that I had to get rid of it fast otherwise my system could possibly crash.  I did and the problem went away...or at least I hope.

Calls from this number come in regularly.  I don't answer and no message is left.
