I received a call yesterday from a Mike Marzulli about a debt with Cashnet that I owe.  He recorded the conversation and said that I only had until tomorrow the 30th of Oct to pay this amout of $723.09 or I will be paying triple and  it would go on my credit report and DMV. He even gave me a docket number of #30-003.

My family is going through a very rough medical situation and I really don't need this person calling me and telling me to pay.

I am trying to take care of our bills as best I can.  I am stressed enough with our medical problems and I don't need any more.  My husband's health is very touch and go at the moment and this is something that I don't need. I have been a nervous wreck about this.

Please help in this matter.  I will pay Cashnet when I can, but family comes first.
I thought that is was legitimate and he took my information.

M Callahan & Associates is the same as almost all othert Buffalo, NY debt collectors. They are mostly convicted felons with drug habits trying to make a fast buck with lies and threats.Joe Marzulli is dirt with a very bad coke habit. Mark Byer is laundering money with Kevin Gilbert who also does a lot of drugs.Report them to the NY AG's office and the DEA. These jerks are just like Toby Boyland who is in jail awaiting sentencing, they all will end up there doing time for their felonies, drugs and money laundering.

Just don't be stupid enough to send them any money on CashNet payday loans.

Hi all

I have acquired the services on an attorney and they have checked on these slime balls.  It is a scam.  I know I owe Cashnetand I will pay them back right away, but I am not dealing with these creseps.  They told me to get in touch with Cashnet, personally, and tell them about these bozos.  I also contacted the NY State Attorney General's office yesterday, and spoke to a wonderful gentleman named John in the Consumer Complaints and Fraud Dept.  He assured me that they are a scam operation and the AG's office are doing their best to shut all of these illegal operations down.  He said that the Buffalo, Western NY area there are so many of these illegal operations that they have set up a separate department to handle them.  He is sending me a complaint form to fill out and send back to him.  As far as M Callahan and Assocs are concerned they are "Toast". He said that they cannot do the things that Marzulli and Mark say they can do.  Oh, by the way, I got a voice mail yesterday from a "Private Number", and when I listened to it, low and behold it was Mark from M Callahan and Assocs.  Who would have thought.  LOL.  He stated that I had until noon to resolve this problem and make restitution.  At least they have the terms right.  LOL again.

I would advice everyone who has to deal with these people, to get in touch with the Attorney General's office in NY and get these creeps shut down.

I have some news for all of you having problems with marzulli and cashnet.

In wrote to Cashnet last evening and got a reply this P>M> They sold my debt to a company called Prism. Nothing was mentioned about the slime balls at m callahan and assocs.  I am now going to resolve this debt and have no more nightmares about this jerk marzulli and mark.  

I also wish that some or all of you who have had to deal with them would call the NY AG's office and file a complaint.  Maybe if enough of us do so, this will help get them off the streets and back under their rocks where they belong.  OOPSSSS was tha out loud?  Sorry, I really am tired of bad people holding good people for ransom.  Don't you agree?

I do so want to thank you for your comment.  It verifies my suspicions that the human race is very well on the decline.

I have a gravely ill spouse and could looe him, so I really do not give any credence to your comment.  I do pay mi bills on time.  This was a bill that I couldn't ay at this time.

I am a good Christian woman who follows the Lord's teachings.  Maybe you should also.  It will make you more compassionate.

Claiming to be from a company and wanted my name and new my Id number and the last four of my social claiming the only thing they had was my Id and if I didn't pay on a collection for a pay day loan they were going to have my drivers license suspended and have me arrested for fraud when I told them I didnt have a pay day loan he said since I didnt know about it he would settle for 496.00 instead of 1,800 or 900 that was owed I got his number from him because when it called me it was unknown however none of his info matched my closed accounts. he claimed to be representing cash net usa he also has been calling my family as well I asked the bank I used to bank with and they said I was in good standing and had no known info of this.

Is anyone who writes on this message board able to spell?  I'm thinking the answer is NO.

I have gotten this same call today.  The said my family said i was a drug deale3r and abused my children. That if i didnt pay the debt today my lic. would be suspended.  They called my family and said i said they were going to pay half with a credit card and if they didnt we would all go to court!! what kind of Bs is this and how is this legal!!!

THEY SAID THEY WOLD HAVE ME ARRESTED ON FEDERAL CHARGES AND I COULDN'T AFFORD TO LOSE MY JOB SO I SCRAMBLED THE MONEY TOGETHER AND PAID THE AMOUNT OF 900.00 NEVER ONCE THINKING I WAS BEING SCAMMED BUT THIS TIME WHEN THE GUY DAVID CALLED...IT JUST DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT. HE SAID THEY DEPOSITED 557.83 AND THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A VALID NUMBER.

Yes you can report them to the Washington FBI and on their website. Make sure you put a fraud alert on your SS number with a code that way they have no way of contacting you because theirs a code on It and put a fraud alert on your credit report. These people are not real law firms they use the law firm names as a scare tacted to scam people. If you do your research you'd know anybody that calls your house stating that their a law officer or detective Is fake. A real law officer will come to your house not call you on the phone and If you were being sewed they would come to your house with a supena or If you missed a court date a letter will be sent to you saying that there Is a warrant for your arrest for not showing up In court. These numbers are fake and they use names such as Law Office of Kevin Smith, Jack Austin, Mark and etc.

got a call from charles Montogmery saying i need to pay 400. to cashnet ...he is a attorney for the company....is this for real...should i pay them or what?????

I have dealt with this guy and put him in his place once before, now hes calling my GF on another note so I am waiting to answer and do it again.  Guy thinks we are dumb but when I belittle him to pieces he just hangs up on me and never to be heard from again.  I told either send me proof or go ahead and take me to court, but either way the calls WILL stop or I will take this matter further.
