SCAM..dispute the charges with your credita card company.

I got a message yesterday saying my husband had 2 check fraud charges on him and he needed to call immediately to have this taken care. The man's name I spoke with was Adam Smith. How original..The guy who answers the number was Bret or Brad Owen. I called the payday loan they said I owed and they told me I didn't owe on this. It was paid up. Then she took his name and number he called from. It is a scam. They need to be sent to prison for this...

I also got a call from these people threatening me with several different counts that will be filed in Court.  They were very rude and they said I wrote 2 bad checks with malicious intent, whatever that means.  That's very interesting since I don't even have a checking account, only a savings.

Anyway I did not appreciate getting this type of call at work.  Isn't that against the law!!!???

I received a call today, 11/22/2011 from a lady name Kathryn P on behalf of M Callahan and Associates stating on my voicemail  that I have a civil case that has been brought against me for a payday loan. She gave a claim# of 115153 and said this has been filed agains my ss#, name and DL# and I need to call them back with in 24 hrs to take care or make restitution on this matter. The # to call back was 1-866-402-4043. Well when I called back I got a lady name Dina. I asked Dina what was this about and she told me. I asked did the financiall institute who i borrowed from sell them my acct; she said they received my account from NCA, another company at 888-768-0764. (This # was a bogus # when I called it. It's a # to a meet me company.) I asked her was M Callahn and Assoc a debt collection agency; she asked if I could hold on. Why she put a supervisor name Melissa on the phone. I asked Melissa why was she speaking to me and I didnt request for a spv. She tried to make me pay or set up payment arrangements to pay and when I asked her were they a collection agency she responded with "we are a 3rd party something, something, something." I said oh you are just a collection agency; I've read about you all on the internet. I hung up. they gave me a bogus # to NCA and they did not want me to know that they were a collection agency if theyy are that at all.

I called and requested a letter and was told they will not send a letter out...I then told them not to call me again.  I spoke with an Erin Lamb (???) and she stated they are an attorney in New York not a collection agency (untrue).  I asked for their mailing address and they refused to give it to me.  I looked them up on the internet and they are a collection agency for CashNetUSA which I never got a loan from personally.  Their address in New York is 908 Niagara Falls Blvd #230, N Tonawand, NY 14126.  They are trying to collect for an online payday loans so you may want to look up your laws in your state.  It maybe illegal for them to do anything and report them to FTC

Do what I have done, report them to your attorney general and the BBB.  They will take care of it.  Do not answer their calls.  They threaten and if they really hurt you with word, go to your legal aid and sue them.  Good luck.

I have called everyday for the last 5 days asking to speak to the attorney on retainer and everytime I am hung up on.. But I did find out the calls became less frequent when I said I wanted the information to give to my attorney.. Once you have stated you have retained legal counsel regarding the matter they are no longer allowed by law to speak with you regarding the matter only your attorney..

They got $45.00 off of a money card that I didnt authorize. Also their number is disconnected. It appears that they will get my money but the card is now cancelled. Any time anybody that is not AMERICAN sounding be careful. I suggest that you tell them to give you a number to call them back on. A lot of times if you call the number you were just called on, it is out of service or disconnected. The threats of law and court are so [***]. If it is a valid bill and crime they willl send a sumons to go to court but do not hold your breath waiting for it.
