Got a txt msg to my phone from a "404" area code # stating that the company MCG Legal Services and they filed an application to stop my income tax returns in reference to a complaint  but I could contact them @ this  888 #. Looked up the # and company couldn't find anything on them.

Got the same text on my phone today also says to contact them at 888-914-8766. They have been calling my cell and work #'s for weeks leaving threatening messages.

I work for the courts and this is actually illegal what they are doing. They use these scare tactics to frighten people into paying and use legal names to scare you into thinking they can take legal action. 1st ask them if they are licensed to file suit in your state? They never are they may say they have associates that are then ask if they have filed suit yet?? No!! They give you misleading info like they have a court case number.. They never do.. 99% of the time these companies can't sue you bc the interest they are charging is illegal even if you signed a contract the rates are illegal and are considered predatory lending. Bottom lines taxes will not be intercepted pay attention to the wording they filed a application it's bogus!!!

I have been receiving texts for weeks now for a friend of mine.  They said there is a lawsuit against them and they want to stop it from going through etc etc etc.

Tonight they called and said that they would be 'processing' it tomorrow for court on the 26th.  I asked what processing meant and he wouldn't give me an answer.  I said does that mean lawsuit?  He said that because it was a payday loan he owed back from 2010 and it was a post dated check it would be "felony larsony."  I panicked and called him to tell him.  

A few questions:  First how legal is it for him to tell me someone else's information without his permission?
Second:  Is this a scare tactic?   He wanted at least half $830 by noon tomorrow to stop the 'processing'  I told him that he could do about $200 and I would help with that amount.  He said it wasn't enough.

Any advice I can give him?  He's at work freaking out right now.

thank you for this information. It was very helpful. I was a bit leary especially when I never received any legal documentatoin from them or altnerative options to settle the proclaimed debt. And the term "suspend" seemed to be unusual in this sense.

I just got same message.

My father received a text message that my income tax application was suspended he was freaking out BC how were they going to get his number to call me I knew from the moment I saw the text it was a lie BC who ever sent the message didn't even know how to spell.

I got this call today. A. foster stated he has as warrant for my arrest. The debt was a payday loan from almost 2 years ago that was discharged in bankruptcy Jan 2012.  I finally got this thru to him and he hung up on me.

I have gotten two separate calls from this so called MCG legas services. It is bogus, do not pay them a single cent.

How can we stop this type of calls? It wasn't  bad to call me on my private phone but at work. What can I do to stop this type of harassment.?

I got a call from this number today and i have been trying to call back no answer they didnt even say who it was for just left me a message that was pretty nasty who do we call to stop the harrasment?

I keep receiving calls and now text from MCG LEGAL serviced claiming they have filed MARQUINN WRIGHT Apllication filed to suspend all income tax returns in reference to complaint number 1411706. Contact MCG Legal Services at 1-888-914-8766. I have no idea who MARQUINN Wright is and or who the comany is and asked several times to be taken off the list because it is frustrating and Harassment!!! Please help so i don't have to hear from them ever again!! Thank you Amanda M.

Allen Foster from this number called and said I had 72 hours in which to pay a $1,230.00 debt for a cash advance. The original debt was $272.50.The $272.50 was paid in 2002 when the other checks were paid. I asked him if he had a copy of the check to verify the debt. He then stated I could settle for $720.00 today but he couldn't go any lower. He couldn't even tell me what would be done if it wasn't paid just that it would go to my county to have me meet court.
Is this even legal for them to call you and demand payment? If they don't have any legal rights how can they be stopped? This very upsetting.

I received a txt from these clowns saying they will take my tax return every year please run that stuff on a kid not a grown up.

They are still calling me. Where can we file a complaint?

got a text message stating they were going to take my tax return called my  mom looking for me when i called i got two different information asked for proof they said they didnt have to give it to me..i said serve me im done

I keep getting txts for someone else saying all this stuff, they have also called numerous times even after being told not to.  When I answered all I heard was laughing and then silence, I called back and the woman who answered kept saying that I was lying, that I am the person they are looking for and they will keep calling until I pay them 400.00 or they would sue me, she said they had a lawyer in my area who had the case ready to go when I asked his name she hung up.  10 minutes later they called back with the same thing laughter then hung up.

I just got this txt message on my cellphone for my husband "(Name of husband - all in caps), This is bank fraud alert. Contact MCG Processing at 888-914-8766 immediately in reference to complaint number 1420732.

This is funny, because they have nothing to do with my bank. So any "alerts" would come from my bank...not a weird text from some third party.  We have never taken out a payday loan.  So I can only guess this is collection company trying to intimidate me or my husband into paying them for something that was over 5 years old or something I've already paid.  WILL NOT CALL THESE FRAUDS!
