HOW is it POSSIBLE that every email I sent is "archived" somewhere.  Every dollar I spend on a credit card, etc is tracked, but this CROOK is allowed to COMMIT FRAUD saying he's Verizon PHISHING for people's passwords???

I got an IM from the same number I have received messages from Verizon previously asking me to call this number.  Message said someone changed my security questions which I definitely did not and no one else i on my account.  Based on the posts here I didn't call but am confused how a scammer could text me from same number that verizon had previously

I received a text from Verizon saying " Your My Verizon password and secret question(s) have been added or changed.  If your didn't request this change, Please call 1-888-976-0259.  I did call it and it takes you to an automated system, but i decided to hang up and not pursue that any further.  My husband and I are the only ones who use Verizon, but my husband does not even know how to enter the site and does not even know the password, and I certainly did not make any changes.  I looked on my account and there were no changes, but I changed the password just in case.  I believe it is a scam.  When I looked on Verizon account there were no security warning notifications.

Version advises that SCAM calls are coming from (888) 976-0259.  They are trying to get you to call them back at (888) 976-0259 to get your Pass Codes to Access Accounts With Version Agents, Emails, Passwords to Sign In To Online Accounts,  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK AT (888) 976-0259 AT ALL IT IS A SCAM.
Version advised me to call VERIZON PHONE NUMBER ON THE PHONE BILL ONLY to notify Version Fraud Division so you can notify them that you have received a phone call from them.

Got a call that Verizon Wireless password was reset, no one requested a reset of the password.  Check the account and all was fine.  This is a scam number that needs to be ignored or reported.

Thanks everyone who have reported this number.  Checked both my verizon wireless and fios accounts.  All is well and no passwords or secret questions have been changed.  So this is indeed a scam.  By the way, it was a text message from 27589 asking me to call 888-976-0259.
