Call Verizon customer service from their number on your bill. They will be able to tell you if you received a scam message and what to do about it.

Got a text from this number, said my abt usage was 50% full. Went to the verizonwireless website and my texts were 50% full. There are now alerts for usage on there. Hadn't signed up for them before, been a customer for multiple years, and have gone over without alerts before. I was able to cancel the alerts.

What is the motivation for this scam? Just to DoS verizon support? two weeks prior i got a call claiming that I had a credit on my verizon bill and that i needed to go visit
http://mybonus130.no-ip.biz/ which is clearly a scam. I feel like i've been targeted, but with what's going on with the NSA, who isn't?

Mine was a text claiming that I had exceeded 50% of my anytime minutes and asked me to log into vzwmobile.com/usg to monitor.  Based on the other reports of suspicious requests from this text number, I will delete and note respond.
